Bernier's team finds out that he was 60, married with two children, worked as a chemist and had recently retired. When the body is moved, the computer shows a message on the screen: "Pardon". The investigation reveals that he had been violently assaulted, but he went home instead of the ER.
- Adjudant Casanova arrives to the farm of Augustin and Jacqueline Manesco, 48 and 42, and finds the front door open and the ducks they raised invading the corridor and the kitchen, where the couple are found shot dead. Two days before they had come to the Gendarmerie to report the disappearance of their daughter Caroline, who has been living in England for seven months. The first investigations reveal that Caroline, still missing, never went to live in England. The case is complicated for the RS, and Casanova, familiar with the zone, lends a hand.

At the same time, Mathilde thinks that the murderer of the woman missing for 8 years, and found in a lake, could be a serial killer.
- Nina Renoir, a young university physics professor, says goodbye to her students and goes to a hotel in Cannes, where she changes her clothes and starts working as a cleaning lady. His lifeless body is found in one of the rooms hours later. The SR discovers that Nina had left her job in a research laboratory for a month to be in the hotel. A famous actress and a rival investigator in Physics are some of the guests in the hotel that might be related to the case.

Meanwhile Martin desperately tries to stop Lucas dealing illegally with his lover's presumed murderer.
