- This overlooked, if not almost forgotten romantic melodrama from Director Juan Jose Ortega, features a South American-born beauty named Lenora Amar, (whom the Mexican press quickly dubbed "The Brazilian Beauty"), in the title role. Although her acting career was rather short-lived because she chose to end it when she was just 27 years of age, her Zorina co-star and then-husband, Luis Aldas, (starring as" Bardo" in this film), seem to still have made an impact on movie audiences due to some favorable news publicity and the relative success of the handful of films the pair made. In this feature, however, Rafael Baledon plays the male lead, an Officer named Lt. Javier Escandon, who is caught-up in this tale of duty, love, loss and redemption, (of sorts). Dalia Iniguez, Jose Pulido and Patricia Moran round out the cast of this Latin love story. (This work should NOT be confused with those films that primarily serve as a cinematic showcase for the dancing talents of 1940's ballet star Zorina Vera, which happen to share the same title).
