- In seven different segments, Godard, Klein, Lelouch, Marker, Resnais, and Varda show their sympathy and support for the North Vietnamese army during the Vietnam War.
- French essay film focusing on global political turmoil in the 1960s and '70s, particularly the rise of the New Left in France and the development of socialist movements in Latin America.
- A series of 41 documentary shorts, directed (without credit) by several famous French filmmakers and each running between two and four minutes. Each "tract" espouses a leftist political viewpoint through the filmed depiction of real-life events, including workers' strikes and the events of Paris in May '68.
- A hapless man undergoes misadventures with avaricious clergy, a tired horse, and a walking granary on his road to collectivized happiness.
- Composed entirely of still photographs shot by Marker himself over the course of his restless travel through twenty-six countries
- 1967, one year before may '68. The strike at the Rhodiaceta textile plant in Besançon sounds like the rehearsal of the rising to come. Indeed for the first time ever, the workers' claims are not only higher wages or better working conditions but also BETTER LIVING CONDITIONS. They first and foremost say no to the lifestyle capitalism wants to impose on them. One more year to go and the whole country of France will imitate the strikers of Besançon.
- An unexpected response to Pinochet's 1973 coup d'etat in Chile. A Super-8 film apparently found in an embassy -as it's written in the original title-, where political activists had taken refuge after a military coup d'état. But the events -and their setting- are not what they first appear to be.
- On October 21, 1967, over 100,000 protestors gathered in Washington, D.C., for the Mobilization to End the War in Vietnam. It was the largest protest gathering yet, and it brought together a wide cross-section of liberals, radicals, hippies, and Yippies. Che Guevara had been killed in Bolivia only two weeks previously, and, for many, it was the transition from simply marching against the war, to taking direct action to try to stop the 'American war machine.' Norman Mailer wrote about the events in Armies of the Night. French filmmaker Chris Marker, leading a team of filmmakers, was also there, and made THE SIXTH SIDE OF THE PENTAGON.
- Workers at the Yema Watch Factory in Besançon depict their own labor struggles in this collective production initiated by Chris Marker
- Yves is the main character of this film. In 1950, he was considered as incurable. The only solution for him seemed to lie in an endless stay in a mental institution. Fernand Deligny who has always shown distrust for arbitrary decisions started to look after him. In 1962, Yves became the central character of a film shot for two years in the Cevennes. A film beautiful like a Murnau, Jacques Rivette.
- Based on movie and television archives, this film aims to demonstrate how the United States planned to crush Salvador Allende's attempt to institute Socialism in Chili, shortly after his election.
- After 22 days of strike action, the police took over the Peugeot factories at Sochaux: two dead, one hundred and fifty injured. Witnesses tell the story.
- The battle for the 10 million ton sugar crop and the already legendary autocritique of Fidel Castro.
- Documentary made a year after his death about a Brazilian leftist politician who participated in both the theory and the practice of guerilla warfare.
- Documentary short on a French writer, translator, and publisher of leftist oriented literature.
