- Kazan, a dog who reverts to the life of the wild when his master is killed, becomes docile when he develops a loyalty to a girl in distress. Pierre Radisson is a trapper; his older son is a member of the Northwest Mounted Police. His younger son and daughter come north to see their father; the boy turns out to be a worthless sort, spending his time drinking and gambling. The girl is left to cope by herself. When she receives word that her older brother has been killed and that her father is dying in his cabin in the hills, she must trust a stranger, Deeley, to accompany her on the journey. While traveling they are about to be attacked by a pack of wolves led by Kazan, but the dog, recognizing the woman's voice, backs off. They arrive safely but find her father dead. The villain has preceded them on the trail and destroyed the evidence marking him as the slayer of the girl's brother and father. He then suggests to the Mounties that the man accompanying the girl is the killer. However, the father's watch falls open to reveal a note bearing the truth. The heavy, now fearing for his life, tries to attack the girl; but Kazan leaps in, throws him to the floor, and kills him.
- A young girl is kidnapped and thrown in the empty basket of a hot-air balloon. The balloon is accidentally cut loose and drifts to the middle of darkest Africa. The young girl is captured by cannibals, but instead of being eaten, she is turned into a goddess by the tribe. Years afterward, a young man who had been a childhood friend of hers mounts an expedition into the jungle to find and rescue her.
- Spirited story of West, which begins after the hero has spent four years overseas and has left the army so much of a fighting devil that he becomes embroiled in a mix-up. Learning that his antagonist has died from wounds is the reason for the hero going West, when he meets a tramp who is on his way to join a gang of outlaws and who invites the ex-soldier to join. There is a girl who lives near the gang headquarters, and meeting her changes the hero's perspective.
- After being released from prison, "Australia Joe" attempts a bank robbery and escapes. Out west, his gang robs the town-hall and steals papers for some mysterious person "higher up." Joe learns the identity of this man and prevents his marriage to the daughter of a man he has framed. To the surprise of all, Joe discloses himself to be a Secret Service agent rather than a notorious bandit.
- Northwest Mounted Policemen Fitzgerald and Herrick, who are later joined by Indian guide Uncas, have been detailed to track down a gang of whiskey-runners. They stop at a farm operated by "Big" Moore; and there Fitzgerald attracts Moore's daughter, "Honey," who has grown distrustful of her childhood sweetheart, Bob Thiele. The Mounties track the smugglers to their lair and rout them; but afterwards, Herrick is killed by a mysterious shot aimed at Fitzgerald. Uncas investigates and finds a clue pointing to Honey's brother Dave. Thiele, however, is revealed as the true murderer and the leader of the smugglers. Thiele defeats Fitzgerald in a fight and is about to shoot him when he is struck dead by lightning. Fitzgerald reports back to headquarters but returns to claim Honey as his bride.
