- It's the late 1950s, and the DJ of a nostalgic radio program, out-of-date in the time of the Beatles, has just been fired. On his last broadcast, he decides to play requests, and a loyal listener (according to his ratings, just about his only listener) asks for her late husband's favorite song. But when fate intervenes, the DJ has to prove just how far he'll go to make his biggest fan happy.
- Eric's son Billy 'The Kid' Grady West dies in a misfortunate wheelie bin accident which gets Wolf released from prison to attend the burial. He manages to persuade the security guard, Paul, to let him go to the wake where Wolf rekindles his relationship with Cheryl and Loretta decides that Paul will do nicely in her attempt to lose her virginity and get Pascalle off her back. Wolf tells Jethro he is disappointed in him and then heads back to prison but not before Van tries to break Wolf out. Wolf tells him to go back home and look after Cheryl. Later, Cheryl talks to Jethro about Wolf and she faces up to the fact that if she wants her family to survive, she can't be with him any more. Her marriage is, in effect, over. So the best thing that can possibly happen is that Wolf stays in prison for as long as possible - because she can't bear to tell him.
- Grandpa finds love in all the wrong places and Loretta does not cope well with it. Pascalle has her first secret admirer.
- Van and Draska are kicked out of the Doslic family home and are also on the run from the law. Despite this, Draska is still determined to carry on with the wedding and enlists Pascalle as her bridesmaid. Cheryl has bottomed out but finds Judd may be Van's saviour. So Cheryl delivers an ultimatum to Wolf, if he uses the evidence against Judd in his appeal, then Van will go to jail - and if Van goes to jail, then Cheryl won't be waiting for Wolf when he gets out. Wolf is not thrilled at this deal and he puts pressure on Jethro to make sure Van does the right thing. Cheryl enlists Munter to keep Van away from Draska. Cheryl turns up at the Rusty Nail where Van and Draska are having their hen & stag nights and punches out Draska and brings her back to her apartment. As Cheryl drives away Loretta turns up with a knife. Next morning Draska's apartment is raided by the police and she discovers that the stolen money has been ripped out of the mattress. Back at the West home Loretta is a very happy and a rich young woman. Next day, Van still wants to marry Draska. Loretta offers Draska the money she stole to jilt Van which she does after all the Wests object to the wedding. So the series ends with a West no-wedding party. - Cheryl has sunk to an all time low and her kids become worried about her so they each resolve to do their bit to help out. Of course, being Wests, this 'help' isn't without an element of self-interest. Pascalle decides to become a stripper at The Champagne Club on the advice of club owner Robby who tells her it will get her modeling contracts. Van goes to Wolf about Cheryl who is less than sympathetic and is more keen to set up Van on another 'dodgy' job. Van also has his problems with Mrs. Hong and Mr. Hong's daughter Tracey which could lead to Mr. Hong doing great damage to Van if he's caught. Loretta tries to generate income by selling bootleg pre-release DVD's, bought from the Hongs, through the Video Hut. Later, when Jethro stands in for Van on a delivery to the Hongs, because Van is on the 'dodgy' job with Sparky, he meets Tracey who mistakes him for Van and they end up sleeping together - Tracey is none the wiser about which twin she has sex with. Meanwhile, Sparky is knocked unconscious by Loretta as the 'dodgy' job turns out to be burning down the Video Hut. The next day Mr. Hong announces to Van and Tracey that Suzy is pregnant - it's Van's (although Mr. Hong doesn't suspect). Loretta confronts Pete about the attempted arson job. He admits it so Loretta takes over running the Video Hut. Cheryl livens up as she's super proud of her kids but her kids cannot quite look her in the eye.
