- The efforts of a middle-aged wife to hold down her flirtatious young husband.
- Kelly, a ladies' tailor, is commissioned to design a dress from a photograph, but the baby cuts off part of the photo and Kelly's wife accuses him of flirting. His lazy brother-in-law interferes with business by flirting with the models, smoking his cigars, and drinking his hooch. There is a family mix-up at the finish with Kelly trying to avoid his wife and keep a date at a cafe'.
- Eddie, a scientific news hound, is sent to Mexico to write a story on tamales. He falls in love with a pretty Senorita who is being courted by a tough Mexican. A flower pot falls on his head and floors the tough lover and Barry wins her lather's good will. He is taken to a mine where tamales are mined. The mine is blown up by the jealous lover and Barry lands on the back of a mule and scurries back to the U. S. A.
- The course of true love does not run smoothly in the lives of Eddie Barry and Vera Reynolds. Vera's father orders the girl to take a sea voyage and Eddie follows but only with difficulty gets aboard; and losing all his money is remitted to the steerage. But by a lucky trade in hootch gains access to the first cabin accommodations of the steamer. His girl is in the clutches of a crook who robs her of her jewelry. Eddie unmasks the crook; throws off his own disguise as a waiter; reveals himself to Vera, and so they are made happy.
