Denise refuses until Gil intervenes and gets them all to go to get a review of medication. Elsewhere, Louise and William restart their relationship in Louise's new apartment above Gabrielle's shop which angers Ross. Louise and Ross eventually agree that they sell the house and split the money received. William apologizes to Diane about the adopted baby controversy.
- In order to avoid people William goes out early playing golf and encounters his accountant Ian Enderby. Through much probing William learns that Ian owes over 3 million to the Inland Revenue and is adamant he is going to take his own life at the 18th hole. As they reach the 18th hole and no sign of William being able to talk Ian out of his course of action William takes matters into his own hands to stop him. Meanwhile, Wayne is hospitalised but Nicky cannot find out what caused him to collapse and whilst there he meets Lydia from the Inland Revenue who has been in a car accident on her way to meet Ian Enderby.
- Mike Malloy causes a stir when he admits to Dana, after she asks him to babysit Jordan, that he cannot be near kids because he was in jail previously was assaulting three young boys. The news spreads like wildfire igniting outrage amongst the townspeople except for William who takes pity on him. Meanwhile, Gabrielle decides she wants to be a mother and firstly tries to get Nicky to get her to a sperm donation bank and then she asks Kieran to be the father, which he refuses. Kieran tells Nicky that he's not over her and what he feels for her is very strong.
- Amanda and Alastair continue their affair as Amanda fights Kieran for everything he's got. However, Amanda is not pleased that Kieran isn't fighting her back and giving in which causes severe tension in the Macefield home and ends up causing Sascha to go on a drink bender at a party. After Kieran sees what the divorce is doing to his kids he decides to fight and offers her 60/40 of the property and joint custody. Amanda decides to move to Auckland with Taylor and as she prepares to leave she tells Nicky what she thinks of her. As a parting gesture to Kieran she torches his new vineyard and leaves Alastair to wait at their motel room. Elsewhere, Ken asks Dana out on their first date together but it doesn't work out very well as he's called to an emergency rescue of a toddler and subsequent tries at dates always end with an emergency.
- Cliff continues to push Nicky into a more permanent commitment but she is very wary. This escalates when she is attacked and robbed of her car, purse and drugs bag. She immediately believes that the culprit is Henry Chadwick which causes rifts between her and Cliff leading them to eventually break up.
- Ken's prized toy collection is stolen from his home when he is away judging the Radford House senior speech competition. Ken is sure the suspect is Todd and gets a warrant to check Todd's house but finds nothing. Meanwhile, Grace Stringer, the winner of the Radford House senior speech competition, becomes obsessed with Nicky.
- Nicky and Cliff nearly come to blows after she refuses to tow the line with Manu Bishop until she finds out from Dana that Cliff is being groomed to take over from Manu. Lynda Bracey makes a complaint about William and on top of him missing the symptoms of a heart-attack he tells Louise he's thinking about leaving. Louise tells Ross that she's pregnant and at Liam's going away party he announces it to everyone there but Louise isn't happy that he did it so publicly.
- With William having stepped down from his position at Mercy Peak Alistair is now officially in charge and he would rather not be which causes his own personal groundhog day. Henk van der Welter is hospitalized and he's convinced he's got cancer until it's discovered that the problem is poisoning and the poisoner is rather nearer to home than he would have taught. Enid's trial begins as she tries to get Arthur's ashes spread on the bowling green. She's denied her request by the club secretary because he's horrified about what she did to Arthur. She is later found guilty of manslaughter and later than night Gus and herself break into the bowling green and scatter Arthur's ashes.
- William takes Helen for a driving lesson as Alastair has an early hospital appointment and frightens William with her reckless driving. Jordan is brought in with a cut to his head and he eventually tells Dana that he has no friends at school and the cut was not an accident but caused by his former friend Carlos. Dana confronts Carlos' mother Paula and finds that Jordan has been bragging about Ken living with them which caused him to be targeted. But things get worse between Dana and Paula and it takes an intervention between Jordan and Ken to sort things out. Cliff has to go on business to Hawaii and invites Nicky to go along with him but Nicky insists that they go as friends only. Manu Bishop has lunch at Kieran's place with Cliff and some American businessmen. Kieran later discovers that a correctional facility is being built at the bottom of the winery and not the university that was originally planned for. He angrily brings it to the attention of William and Eric. Manu is not pleased that his plans have been leaked. Alastair takes Helen out in for a driving lesson in his car but it comes to a halt when she hits a mynah bird. But the incident brings Alastair and Helen together. Nicky tells Cliff she cannot go with him to Hawaii and heads off on her own for a few days. Meanwhile, Ken asks Dana to marry him and she agrees.
- Eric's son Billy 'The Kid' Grady West dies in a misfortunate wheelie bin accident which gets Wolf released from prison to attend the burial. He manages to persuade the security guard, Paul, to let him go to the wake where Wolf rekindles his relationship with Cheryl and Loretta decides that Paul will do nicely in her attempt to lose her virginity and get Pascalle off her back. Wolf tells Jethro he is disappointed in him and then heads back to prison but not before Van tries to break Wolf out. Wolf tells him to go back home and look after Cheryl. Later, Cheryl talks to Jethro about Wolf and she faces up to the fact that if she wants her family to survive, she can't be with him any more. Her marriage is, in effect, over. So the best thing that can possibly happen is that Wolf stays in prison for as long as possible - because she can't bear to tell him.
- Grandpa finds love in all the wrong places and Loretta does not cope well with it. Pascalle has her first secret admirer.
- Van and Draska are kicked out of the Doslic family home and are also on the run from the law. Despite this, Draska is still determined to carry on with the wedding and enlists Pascalle as her bridesmaid. Cheryl has bottomed out but finds Judd may be Van's saviour. So Cheryl delivers an ultimatum to Wolf, if he uses the evidence against Judd in his appeal, then Van will go to jail - and if Van goes to jail, then Cheryl won't be waiting for Wolf when he gets out. Wolf is not thrilled at this deal and he puts pressure on Jethro to make sure Van does the right thing. Cheryl enlists Munter to keep Van away from Draska. Cheryl turns up at the Rusty Nail where Van and Draska are having their hen & stag nights and punches out Draska and brings her back to her apartment. As Cheryl drives away Loretta turns up with a knife. Next morning Draska's apartment is raided by the police and she discovers that the stolen money has been ripped out of the mattress. Back at the West home Loretta is a very happy and a rich young woman. Next day, Van still wants to marry Draska. Loretta offers Draska the money she stole to jilt Van which she does after all the Wests object to the wedding. So the series ends with a West no-wedding party. Wolf's home; Judd and Cheryl have parted; Van is a free man; Pascalle is in the sack with Kurt and Loretta is still despairing of her family.
- Cheryl has sunk to an all time low and her kids become worried about her so they each resolve to do their bit to help out. Of course, being Wests, this 'help' isn't without an element of self-interest. Pascalle decides to become a stripper at The Champagne Club on the advice of club owner Robby who tells her it will get her modeling contracts. Van goes to Wolf about Cheryl who is less than sympathetic and is more keen to set up Van on another 'dodgy' job. Van also has his problems with Mrs. Hong and Mr. Hong's daughter Tracey which could lead to Mr. Hong doing great damage to Van if he's caught. Loretta tries to generate income by selling bootleg pre-release DVD's, bought from the Hongs, through the Video Hut. Later, when Jethro stands in for Van on a delivery to the Hongs, because Van is on the 'dodgy' job with Sparky, he meets Tracey who mistakes him for Van and they end up sleeping together - Tracey is none the wiser about which twin she has sex with. Meanwhile, Sparky is knocked unconscious by Loretta as the 'dodgy' job turns out to be burning down the Video Hut. The next day Mr. Hong announces to Van and Tracey that Suzy is pregnant - it's Van's (although Mr. Hong doesn't suspect). Loretta confronts Pete about the attempted arson job. He admits it so Loretta takes over running the Video Hut. Cheryl livens up as she's super proud of her kids but her kids cannot quite look her in the eye.
