- Both Van Gulden and Ep Oorklep are desperate to be examined by the new female doctor. Nico has just found out he's broke but ends up having to pay for everybody's drinks. Cook Simon Spekvet finds a dead body in the kitchen, but Inspector Rademakers is on the case immediately.
- Jan serves as an alibi for two adulterous men, but they refuse to repay the favor. Meneer van Gulden is dismayed that everybody has forgotten his fiftieth birthday. But Ep Oorklep allows him to sing one of his beloved Vienna waltzes. De Brede comes to fix Simon Spekvet's grill.
