- Ten days before the celebration of her late mother's birth centenary, beauty queen Dahlia Rodriguez-De Veyra (Gloria Diaz) learns that two of the three children-the eldest and the youngest-have yet to confirm their attendance. Anxious of how things are going unplanned, the Queen Mother threatens to cancel the event. Coming to the rescue her Girl Friday, Precy (Lotlot de Leon), enlists the help of the middle child in locking down the guest list.
- Getting the show on the road, Dahlia (Gloria Diaz) opens the celebration by revealing the sad truth about the life of her late mother, Tarsila Zamora (Maris Racal), the first beauty queen in the family. The sordid tale of loveless marriage sets the stage for how Dahlia grew up to become Miss Universe 1969, why she married a much older man, and how she made sure her first two daughters would follow her formidable.
- Dahlia (Gloria Diaz) becomes widowed when her first two daughters turned teenagers. Soon, she forces Daisy (Maxine Medina), her first-born, to join the Binibining Pilipinas pageant against her will. However, Daisy's religious convictions eventually fool the life of glitz and glamour that Dahlia dreamed for her.
- As a young girl, Tingting (Winwyn Marquez), the middle child, really wanted to become a beauty queen like her mother. However, on her first year on political science student at a state university, she begins to develop passion for activism and changes her mind about pursuing a beauty title. Expressing her disapproval on her second daughter's newfound calling, Dahlia throws a fit and unexpectedly falls ill. Concerned about her mother's well-being, Tingting backpedals and snatches a crown of her own. Her belief in radical politics, however, remains deeply rooted in her life.
- Rico (Ross Pesigan), the youngest child, is predestined to succeed Dahlia (Gloria Diaz) as president of the family-owned university. However, on his 26th birthday, he comes out to the family as a transwoman named Rica, totally blindsiding Dahlia. Promptly disowned by the Queen Mother, a bitter family rift ensues, causing Dahlia's loyal cousin Anita (Ruby Ruiz), who served as a nanny to all three children, to leave her. Although bitterly estranged from her mother, Rice embraces her ambitions and claims an international beauty crown of her own.
- As the party drags on, a drunken guest unwittingly spills the secret of Dahlia (Gloria Diaz) and her Girl Friday, Percy (Lotlot de Leon). Getting the shock of their lives, the unexpected revelation prods a confrontation between the Queen Mother and Rica (Ross Pesigan), which only worsens when Tingting (Winwyn Marquez) and Precy tried to intervene. As old wounds grow deeper, will Dahlia and her children be able to find it in their hearts to reconcile and forgive?
- How did the young MJ strive for her dreams without her parents beside her? Who inspired her to become a fighter in life?
- After being abandoned by their father, Pia (Liza) carried the responsibility of being the breadwinner of the family as the eldest among the siblings. She fearlessly entered the world of show business, where she started to accept modeling and acting stints. However, in the midst of her journey, her fighting spirit began to crumble as her acting career was not taking flight, while her fellow artists had already gone their way to stardom. But because of her family, she swallowed her pride and continued to accept minor roles. Just as when she started to get her groove back, her mother and stepfather decided to migrate to U.K. With a heavy heart, she supported their decision and tried to start a new life there. For years, she worked in a factory until she realized that that was not the life she wanted for herself. Hoping to have a better life, she went back to Philippines and gave show business another shot. What happened in her second try in show business? How did she come across the world of beauty pageants? What other challenges did she face in order to succeed in her dream?
