- Marnesba Tackett, is an unsung hero in the Civil Rights Movement and NAAP member for over 90 years. Her challenges were not only being light-skinned, who refused to pass as "white," but as a woman trying to burst through barriers in a male-dominated world. Thus, she fought against both racial and gender inequality in all she did. Responsible for bringing Martin Luther King to Los Angeles to share his message "we want to be free" with 30,000 people, this close friend of Rosa Parks fought for equality in the Insurance industry, for equal housing practices, and was instrumental in desegregating and integrating schools for all children. Referred to as a relentless "feisty fighter," her lifelong activism combined with her strong self-esteem in being a proud Black woman helped pave the way towards equal rights.
- Laura Popp was born with Hemifacial Microsomia where half of her face was paralyzed at birth. Her life was a living hell due to the multiples surgeries as well as the constant teasing she had to endure. Grade school and high school were filled with pain for her but the turning point in her life came when she was in college and a group of fraternity boys laughed and shouted at her "Hey Beautiful!" She reached the depths of her emotional pain when she came to the conclusion that no man could ever love her, and had serious thoughts of suicide. That all changed when she met John Popp who saw past her deformity and fell in love with her. Their 32-year relationship has been an inspirational love story. Despite the hate and abuse hurled at her throughout her life, Laura still managed to open her heart and help others with disabilities in her work as an occupational therapist. She now embarks on a journey to care for one of the only supporters she had during her 42 surgeries, her father. She gives that support back to him while she cares for him during his journey with Alzheimer's Disease. Her story shows us that we can find love no matter what we look like on the outside, and that beauty is only skin deep in terms of facial equality, as we hear the new definition of beauty from leading celebrities and news makers.
- Rosalee Glass, a former Holocaust survivor taken prisoner to a Siberian gulag during WWII transforms her destiny. In her 80s she begins an acting career, in her 90s wins a Senior beauty pageant and dares to ride Alaskan Sled dogs at 100.
- The film showcases Rosalee Glass's story from the perspective of her daughter, with moments heard from Rosalee herself. The film begins by telling the story of newlyweds, Rosalee and Abraham Glass, as they set up their new home in the Jewish section of Warsaw, Poland. After exploring their neighborhood one day, six Nazi soldiers stopped them, one of which slapped Rosalee across the face. This begins her journey living through the world's biggest nightmare - the Holocaust. The film follows the trials she faced while living during the Holocaust, the children she lost, the pain she experienced, and her eventual placement in a DP camp. After many better, but still challenging and painful years in the DP camp of Feldafing, the Glass family finally finds their way to the US. The film then follows Rosalee's journey as she sets up a new life in America, and realizes a General she saw in Feldafing has become the American President, Dwight D. Eisenhower. After many ups and downs, and life-changing moments in America, Rosalee finds herself in her senior years living life to its fullest with her daughter. Nearing the end of her life, Rosalee Glass finds herself being honored with an invitation to the White House, where the President signs an Executive Order, to help prevent Anti-Semitism in universities, in her name. Congress then honored Rosalee by flying a flag in her name as one of the oldest Holocaust survivors. Rosalee becomes both overjoyed and moved to the core. Here she was, a Holocaust survivor, who personally experienced the most evil atrocities of our history, encountered a future president of the United States, and now some 80 years later at the White House where she is being honored by the President with an order against Anti-Semitism- the same Anti-Semitism that killed her beloved father, mother, aunt, and sisters. This film is a story of hope, inspiration, and shows that miracles can happen.

- Soulmates come in all forms, even in the form of mother and daughter. This is an inspiring love story between Rosalee and Lillian Glass. Since birth, Lillian and her mother have had a special psychic bond which was difficult to explain. From being miles apart and doing the exact same thing without the other knowing, they would often finish each others sentences, and saw the world with the same set of eyes. Rosalee was the ideal mother that so many would wish for; warm, caring, sensitive, and extremely wise. Lillian was able to achieve great heights in her life only because Rosalee was the wind beneath her wings, and her motivation to reach the pinnacle of success in her career. Rosalee encouraged Lillian to go for it, and do incredible things in her life. After a family tragedy, they moved in with each other, and realized how they truly saw the world with one set of eyes as they traveled the world and lived life to its fullest. As they continued to live together, Lillian morphed into the mother role, while Rosalee morphed into a daughter role, as Lillian became her mother/stage mother. Lillian encouraged her to begin an acting career, and took her to auditions. In the film, we see what Lillian has learned from Rosalee, and what Rosalee has learned from Lillian. As Lillian entered the mother-role, she encouraged Rosalee to do incredible things in her life. The film follows the ups and downs of their lives, and the incredible relationship they had. Rosalee reached the pinnacle of her greatness when she went to the White House and received a great honor, and a flag flown in her honor at the Capitol.
