My faves of 2010
Not a very good year for someone who loves the movies: though I am particularly glad Christopher Nolan lived up to the mettle he has created for himself, and a very welcome pleasure in watching The King's Speech and Black Swan.

Pushed to the breaking point by her artistic director and a seductive rival, Nina's grip on reality slips, plunging her into a waking nightmare.Stunning performance - the "five hours a day of both ballet and crosstraining with swimming" combined with her acting prowess will surely get her an Oscar.
- DirectorRidley ScottStarsRussell CroweCate BlanchettMatthew MacfadyenIn twelfth-century England, Robin Longstride and his band of marauders confront corruption in a local village and lead an uprising against the crown that will forever alter the balance of world power.A much needed relief from the sheer mundane stuff Hollywood was throwing at us for the first half of 2010! Cate is always cool to watch and one cannot really go wrong with the direction of Ridley Scott.
