Enid-Raye Adams was born in 1973 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Since then, no one has ever pronounced her name correctly. Kids at school called her Igor and Enid The Peenid. (Those kids were ill-mannered and had gastric intestinal problems.) After two perms in a row in junior high, Enid-Raye bore a striking resemblance to Napoleon Dynamite (2004) from the major motion picture of the same name.
Years later, Enid-Raye began her career in theater, performing in some of Shakespeare's classics. In 1993, she made her film debut as a feature extra in the Canadian independent For the Moment (1993) opposite Russell Crowe. Her only requirement in the film was to tap Russell Crowe's shoulder in a party scene and smile at him. This was meant to launch her career in film and television and cement her as a leading lady in the minds of directors and studio executives everywhere. Unfortunately, due to a severe case of nerves, Enid-Raye looked like a rabid gopher on camera and her part was cut from the film.
In 1998, she moved to Vancouver to pursue her career and couldn't get arrested. If she jaywalked in front of the cops, they would say, "I'm sorry, we've decided to go another way," or "Jaywalk for us again when you have an agent." It was during this time that she co-wrote and performed in the hilarious one-woman show "Would You Like Fries With That?". She began and promptly finished doing stand-up comedy when she discovered she was much funnier in the privacy of her own home. Finally, she threatened to egg an agent's '87 Dodge Dart if he didn't sign her. Remarkably, he did and she has been working ever since.
Enid-Raye was a host for The 16th Annual Leo Awards (2014) and has received two Leo Award nominations for her work: One for her chilling portrayal of the psychotic and highly disturbed Laura Maitland, a recurring character in the acclaimed series Da Vinci's Inquest (1998) for Chris Haddock; And the second for her role as a Mom suffering from depression in R.L. Stine's the Haunting Hour (2010), opposite Rico Rodriguez (Modern Family (2009)). Other select credits include No Men Beyond This Point (2015), iZombie (2015), Backstrom (2015), Lawrence & Holloman (2013), Endgame (2011), Fringe (2008), Psych (2006), Supernatural (2005), Intelligence (2005), Dead Like Me (2003), Jeremiah (2002), and Steven Spielberg's Taken (2002). She was recently elected as a Director on the UBCP/ACTRA Executive Board.
Enid-Raye works regularly in film, television, voice and commercials. She lives in Vancouver where she can be found loitering in front of Lee's Donuts in her chocolate milk mustache and buffet pants.- Producer

Verónica Echegui was born on 16 June 1983 in Madrid, Spain. She is an actress and director, known for Trust (2018), Fortitude (2015) and You're Killing Me Susana (2016).- Victoria Hester was born on Father's Day in June 1996 in Alabama. She was her parent's first child and the family moved to Tennessee before Victoria's first birthday. Her brother, Labon, was born just before Victoria turned two.
Just after Victoria's third birthday in June 1999, the family moved once again, this time to Malawi, a small country in Africa. One of Victoria's favorite things about living there was getting to see all of the animals in the wild. Weekend safaris were a favorite pastime for her family.
The Hester family returned to Tennessee in April of 2001. Victoria began kindergarten that fall. It was during her kindergarten year that Victoria went on a fieldtrip to see the play, "Peter Pan." She left the theater saying, "I want to do that!"
Her family decided to home school her in the fall of 2002 and that afforded Victoria the opportunity to act in shows that had daytime performances.
It was then that Victoria auditioned for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and was awarded the role of Gladys Hurdman, one of the "worst kids in the whole history of the world." She was the youngest member of the cast and the youngest to play this role at Germantown Community Theater.
In the spring of 2003, Victoria was cast as Young Kim in the Poplar Pike Playhouse rendition of the musical "Showboat." Once again, she was the youngest member of the cast.
In the fall of 2003, Victoria once again tried out for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and was asked to reprise her role as Gladys Hurdman. Through a contact that was made while working on this play, Victoria, her brother, and her mom were asked to be in the independent film "Sheriff." Her mom actually played her mother in the film and Labon Hester (her brother in real life) played her brother!
This trend was to continue when the three were cast in another independent film, "Chosen." Victoria's mom played a housewife and Victoria and Labon were her kids. Each of them morphed into horrid characters with Victoria becoming the most evil of the three.
Next was the indie "Rookie Bookie" in the spring of 2004. Victoria's mom played the wife of a corrupt judge. Victoria and Labon were once again cast as her children.
Victoria returned to the stage in May 2004 in "Seussical the Musical" at Poplar Pike Playhouse. She played one of the Little Who's.
Victoria just could not seem to shake being typecast in film when she got a part once again as her mother's child in the independent film "The Streaker." They cast two friends to play her older brother and younger sister in this film.
In June 2004, Victoria auditioned for the feature film "Walk the Line." In mid-July, she received a phone call saying that they wanted to use her for the role of Carlene Carter. She was especially excited to learn that Reese Witherspoon (and not her real mom!) would be playing her mother in the film! The phone call came just three days before she was scheduled to start filming. The same friend who played her sister in "The Streaker" was asked to play her sister, Rosie Carter, in "Walk the Line."
Victoria has taken dance since 2001 and also took voice last year. Victoria also takes karate. She took gymnastics for three years but has taken a break from it and from voice to free up a bit more of her schedule. After all, she needs some time just to have fun! She enjoys singing, riding her bike, swimming, and playing with her brother and friends. Victoria also loves animals.Born On June 16 - Actress

Jan's talent and beauty was soon noticed and she was snapped up in her first series regular at the age of only 20, in the BBC's Prime Time drama 'Tiger Bay' playing wild child 'Jodie Marsh'. This head strong and fearless girl was much like Janina at that time and was a joy for her to play. Soon becoming a fan favorite, she starred in Miramax's infamous 'Human Traffic'. After filming this cult flick Janina landed the role of nurse 'Chloe Hill' in the BBC's popular primetime drama 'Casualty' and starred in this show for 5 years. Having itchy feet and wings that needed to fly, Janina left this number one show and played leading characters in many more. Including news reporter 'Sandie Booth' in ITV's 'The Bill', 'Fran Morris' In 'Doctors' and a cameo in the UK's funniest comedy 'French & Saunders' with Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. Her next long running series regular role was playing sexy Lisa Hill on ITV's prime show, 'London's Burning. Lisa Hill was the firemen's cook; only she could not actually cook! Going back to her well-loved roots Wales, Jan played sassy Welsh Police women 'Tess Conti' on ITV's drama series 'Nuts and Bolts'. Another fun role ensued, filming in crazy Ibiza playing mouthy Welsh girl 'Kim' in the kitschy comedy 'Is Harry On The Boat'.
It wasn't long before Hollywood was calling, but Jan took a few years out to train with the best in Los Angeles. This training soon paid off, with leads in multiple films and shows including: the comedy series 'National Banana' by Jerry Zucker, the award winning 'Three Days Blind', directed by Christopher Keith, playing another nurse in Fox's 'Prison Break' and recurring characters in the Sci-Fi networks 'Scare Tactics' with Tracey Morgan. Not forgetting her roots Jan also shot the ever-popular BBC America series 'Torchwood', playing 'Marie' and Owen Teales Cheating Wife in the film 'Pleasure Park' for ITV Wales.
Jan now has a new exciting role playing 'Stella' on the unforgettable HBO show 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and will soon be seen on the big screen playing sexy teacher 'Mrs. Macintre' with Josh Hutchinson and Dane Cook in the brand new comedy 'Detention', directed by the visionary genius Joseph Khan.- Actress

She was exposed at a very early age to design and construction using a variety of materials. Her first wedding gown at age 13 was made of trash bags and a glue gun. At 19, after trading in GA's laid back country living for the frenetic night life of Miami's South Beach, Kelly created her first collection which included corsets, ball-room gowns, double breasted jackets, and handbags, all made using colored Reynolds Wrap. The line was a huge hit garnering her such accolades as "Top Ten Designers to Watch" by the Miami Herald.
After 5 years in Miami's fashion circuit, Kelly ventured west in search of new inspiration. She found it immediately upon arriving in Los Angeles. Noticing everything she saw in the clothing market was shabby-chic and grunge, Kelly saw the perfect opportunity to bring back elegance, sophistication, and femininity by revisiting one of her favorite pieces...the corset! With lush fabrics and a more comfortable structure, Kelly breathed fresh air into an age-old garment. They quickly made a stir on red carpets across the country, Kelly Nishimoto corsets have already graced the bodies of Marley Shelton, Rumor Moore, Gwen Stefani, Anastasia, Natasha Hendstridge, Jenna Jameson, and yes...even Dave Navarro.
This self-taught designer didn't stop there. Kelly Nishimoto debuted her Spring/Summer 2006 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in March 2006. Feeling that fashion had no soul...she set out to make a full collection of things that were missing from her own closet. Simple elegance is how she described the flowing collection that graced the runway. Her Fall/Winter/Holiday 2006 collection was a perfect balance of her heritage...Scottish plaids and Japanese printed silks. Fresh off the runway is her Spring/Summer 2007 collection she describes as women in the bedroom.
Nishimoto's career recently took an exciting turn when The Style Network hired her to co-host the hit show, "My Celebrity Home" airing November 29th 2006. - Actress

She continued her theater studies at the Eugene O'Neill National Theater Institute and recently attended the Grad Film Program at NYU Tisch to get her masters in directing.
Although Kristina's acting career started with her first and still greatest love, the theater (she performed on numerous Off-Broadway stages in NYC, including the prestigious Public Theater, Soho Rep and MTC), she is most known for her performance as the sassy, foul-mouthed Lynda in Rob Zombie's 2007 remake of Halloween, which has cemented her as an icon in the horror genre and garnered her a large fan base. She then played Detective Pierce across from 80s action star Dolph Lundgren in the Mike Mendez helmed Don't Kill It (to be released 2016/2017), and just wrapped the lead detective role, Detective Martin, in Kevin Shulman's Marvista Studios produced amnesia thriller.

In 2000, Fables Productions and Unavailables were combined to create Filmatica Enterprises Inc., with Tandees as the sole owner of it.
Between the three companies, Tandees has created, written and produced over a dozen short and long format projects, mostly documentaries and experimentals. Since 2004, Tandees has joined forces with Sean Thomas from ChefThomas Productions, and together they are embarking on producing a series of feature length projects in various genres.
In her spare time, Tandees also writes and publishes articles.- Willa Joanna Chance Holland (born June 18, 1991) is an American actress, voice actress and model. She is known for her role as Kaitlin Cooper in the FOX teen drama The O.C., Agnes Andrews in The CW series Gossip Girl and, most recently, Thea Queen / Speedy in Arrow. Holland was born in Los Angeles, to cinematographer Keith Holland and actress Darnell Gregorio-De Palma. Her mother was remarried to director Brian De Palma from 1995-97. She grew up with two sisters: Brianna Holland (b. 1988) and Piper De Palma (b. 1996). Holland attended Palisades Charter High School for only six weeks because her career was taking off and school peers were dismissive of her acting pursuits. At age seven, Holland played at her stepfather's neighbor's house in The Hamptons, New York. The neighbor, Steven Spielberg, was filming home videos and told Holland's parents, "You've got to put her in front of a camera".
Upon returning to Los Angeles that September, Holland signed with Ford Modeling Agency at age seven, and immediately booked a shoot for Burberry. The following year, 1999, De Palma took Holland to a theatrical talent agency. Since then she has appeared in many national commercials. During 2001 when Holland was ten, she worked alongside her cinematographer father in Ordinary Madness (2001). She was even slated to co-star in the 2005 Fox series The Inside with fellow model Rachel Nichols, but left the show when writer Tim Minear was brought in to overhaul it. She played the role of Kaitlin Cooper on The O.C. (2003); initially as a recurring character in season 3, but then as a regular in season four. In December 2007, Holland was cast in the independent drama film Garden Party (2008), playing the role of April, a troubled teenage aspiring model who tries to make it in Los Angeles. In September 2008, The CW announced Holland would appear in three episodes of the second season of the teen-drama television series Gossip Girl (2007), created by The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz. Holland played the role of Agnes Andrews, a rebellious 16-year-old model who befriends and creates havoc for Taylor Momsen's character. She also appeared in the films Middle of Nowhere (2008) and A Summer in Genoa (2008).
In March 2010, Holland made a one-off return in the 16th episode of the third season, The Empire Strikes Jack (2010), which aired March 29, 2010. She voiced Aqua in the PlayStation Portable title, "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep", which was released on September 7, 2010 in North America. That same year, Holland starred in her first major studio film in the apocalyptic thriller film Legion (2010), playing the role of a bratty teenager.
She played teen-temptress Janice Heddon in the film Straw Dogs (2011), a remake of the 1971 film of the same name. The film opened in September 2011. In February 2012, Holland was cast in The CW action-adventure series Arrow (2012), based on the Green Arrow comic books, where she plays Thea Queen, the sister of Oliver Queen. Lisa Chandler was born in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. She is an actress and producer, known for Altered Carbon (2018), S.W.A.T.: Under Siege (2017) and Supernatural (2005).- Mariah Stanley, "the little girl with the big voice", is a 13 year-old young lady from Buna, Texas. She was originally compared to other artists (such as LeAnn Rimes and Brenda Lee) in her age, style and strength of performance. However, Mariah has since carved out her own style and niche - power with a soulful twang. She exhibits vocal abilities, presence, and maturity beyond her age.
In 2002, Mariah began efforts to become a professional singer in earnest. In the brief time since, she has stunned audiences across the United States with her power, range and emotion. Unlike most performers, Mariah's tremendous range permits her to perform a variety of musical genres. Whether country, rock/pop, R&B, or gospel, Mariah uncannily emotes the feeling and style of each song as if it is her natural and only style. In little more than two years, Mariah has become one of the most sought after performers in the Texas music scene. When not performing, she is a normal eighth grader, enjoying bicycle riding, outings to the lake or beach, swimming, and reading. She is an honor student, a member of her school's student council, a cheerleader, and an academic competition competitor. Onstage, however, she adds 20 years of musical presence and experience.
Quite precocious from birth, her affinity for performing on stage is no surprise to anyone who knows her. As a small child, she "passed the hat" for donations at family gatherings when prompted to sing. She first sang publicly at the age of 7 during a beauty pageant. When the emcee asked if she would sing for the crowd, obviously expecting her to be too shy, Mariah grabbed the microphone from her hand and stunned the crowd with an a cappella rendition of "Amazing Grace."
Mariah has appeared on national television, local television and radio. In fact, she has already had radio airplay of both original and cover music. She has also performed for major recording labels and national entertainment executives from Nashville, New York and Los Angeles. Mariah appears at numerous venues and events throughout the country and has received many awards and accolades for her efforts. She is a student of The Image Factory under the outstanding tutelage of award winning vocal and artist development team of Jayne Lybrand Wesson and Jim Wesson.
Mariah is a member of the Country Music Association and a regular performer at the Lake Theater in Lake Jackson, Texas. Additionally, she was a nominee for 2004 Female Performer of the Year (age 16 & under) and was a finalist at the 2003 Next Big Star competition, both at the world-renowned Johnnie High Country Music Revue in Arlington, Texas. Mariah has opened for such artists as Capitol Records star Jennifer Hanson (number 1 song "Beautiful Goodbye"), Mark Nesler (writer of number 1 songs "Just to See You Smile" by Tim McGraw and "Living & Living Well" by George Strait), Curb Records singer/songwriter Jamie Richards, and many others.
In a very short period of time, "the little girl with the big voice" has covered a tremendous amount of ground for any performer, not to mention one of merely 13 years. She is a seasoned artist who maintains a focus, a drive and a work ethic that rivals any performer. That determination, coupled with her awesome God-given talent, has brought worldwide recognition including fans on three continents, in more than fifteen countries and twenty-five states. A new wind is blowing on the music scene, and they call the wind... MARIAH! - Actress

Montgomery was born Poppy Petal Emma Elizabeth Deveraux Donahue in Sydney, Australia, to Nicola (Montgomery), a market researcher and executive, and Phil Donahue, a restaurateur. She was raised in Sydney. Since the age of 12, Poppy had a near obsession with cultural icon Marilyn Monroe.
Her parents had named each of their five daughters after a flower and, after a time, the name "Poppy Petal" attracted so much derision from fellow students that she left school at the age of 14. At 16, she left home to travel abroad and, at 18, she traveled to America.
In Los Angeles, penniless and with a copy of "How to Make it in Hollywood", Poppy adopted her mother's maiden name as a stage name and made daily contact with Julia Roberts's agent who told her he did not handle unknowns but arranged for her to be signed with another agent.
After various minor roles, Montgomery got several breaks in 1996. She had guest appearances on TV series NYPD Blue (1993) and Party of Five (1994), she got a regular part in the TV series Relativity (1996), and she won a starring role in the TV movie The Cold Equations (1996). Her career has been on an upward climb ever since.
In 2001, Montgomery won the dream role of her lifetime. CBS was looking to create a TV mini-series based on author Joyce Carol Oates' novelization of the life of Marilyn Monroe (the series was titled Blonde (2001)). Poppy's greatest wish was fulfilled when she got cast as her childhood idol. When she told her family that she'd won the role, Poppy's mother blithely commented "Well, you've been rehearsing for it your whole life". Her portrayal won critical acclaim.
In 2002, Montgomery joined the original cast of the soon-to-be-successful TV series Without a Trace (2002). She has a lead role portraying FBI agent Samantha Spade. Montgomery shared the cast's 2004 SAG Award nomination for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series.- Actress

- Vanessa Martinez was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She is an actress, known for Flamin' Hot (2023), Fatal Attraction (2023) and Dirty John (2018).
- Australian former actress/high-fashion model/Stylist Virginia Hey was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma DLBCL cancer in June 2022, which is cancer of the lymphatic system. It metastasized/spread into her bones, causing the destruction of a large part of her tibia bone in her right leg. Miss Hey was being treated by the incredible British NHS and underwent 6 cycles of R-CHOP chemotherapy which was completed in December 2022.
In December 2022 Miss Hey was in remission! However her NHS Haematologist specialist said that during an earlier biopsy they found the CD5+ marker, which indicates that her stage 4 cancer is even more aggressive and sneaky than they thought. This means that the cancer will most definitely come back, with a limited lifespan within 6 to 15 months.
So in order to elongate her lifespan to 1-5 years, they offered Miss Hey powerful LACE chemotherapy, followed by a Stem Cell Transplant.
The procedure is a specialized cancer treatment administered by the British NHS using her own stem cells which the hospital collected in January 2023.
Miss Hey had another PET CT scan in March which showed that she was still in remission.
The Stem Cell Transplant procedure was carried out in a London hospital March/April 2023 with a recovery period of between four months and one year for the immune system to regrow.
Miss Hey was finally getting back on her feet, out of a wheelchair and learning to walk again, albeit with two crutches. She had a follow-up PET CT scan November 27th 2023 to check that the procedure was successful. Unfortunately the specialists discovered from the PET scan that her cancer had in fact come back.
Unfortunately all the Chemotherapys and the Stem Cell Transplant were not completely successful, although she was in remission for quite a few months. Miss Heys cancer is extremely aggressive, and although the cancer was pushed back by all the chemotherapy, unfortunately some of the cancer simply hid/hibernated during the procedures and then came back sometime between April and November 2023. This time the Cancer came back in her left leg, from her ankle all the way to her abdomen. With a large tumor sitting against her left iliac bone, and in several places in her abdomen and hip.
December 2023 This time the NHS specialists wanted to try Radiotherapy to treat the relapsed cancer.
January 29th 2024 till April 12th 2024, Miss Hey embarked on radical radiotherapy treatment to her entire left leg and left abdomen.
If her cancer does not respond to the Radiotherapy the specialists have said that they will try a new antibody treatment, immunotherapy, that is available on the NHS in selected cases.
Miss Hey is in good spirits as usual, she has remained in good spirits all the way throughout this dreadful battle. Always a smile and cheekiness with a glint in her eyes!
Miss Hey is extremely grateful to the brilliant NHS and all the teams of doctors and specialists and nurses who have been looking after her. It is extraordinary how generous and untiring they are. She owes her life to the Fabulous NHS!
Fingers crossed and prayers that the radiation/immunotherapy works! Miss Hey hopes to be able to attend a handful of Comiccons in 2024 if possible. Obviously her long locks are gone, a byproduct of so much Chemotherapy. However her hair has started to grow. Virginia has not resorted to wigs, but sports caps which suit her face well.
Bio: Miss Hey is a very private person who is remarkable in her late 60s; however, her appearance is that of a stylish, elegant woman in her 50s! Miss Hey remarks that her height, strength, sharp mind, and good genes come from her father, and her extraordinary bone structure, artistic talent, and elegance from her mother. Miss Hey also attributes her good health in her 60s to the importance of maintaining well-being and staying trim, keeping an active mind, and exercising regularly. In her disco-and-heels era, she smoked and socially drank, like everyone back then, but in 1990, Miss Hey made health and well-being her main priority, studying naturopathy and changing her lifestyle.
Virginia literally sparkles when she enters a room! George Miller, the director of Mad Max 2, said that Virginia has an energy that pours from her that cannot be manufactured. He said she has the ''it'' factor! Miss Hey didn't ever take advantage of that factor; she preferred to pursue art and natural medicine. Her modeling and acting jobs, she says, funded her studies.
She confesses to sometimes feeling awkward and shy, lacking in confidence. (a mere mortal after all!) However, she stated that in her youth she had to develop a kind of ''site-specific extrovert'' quality in order to work and socialize. (Comedian Robin Williams coined the phrase ''site-specific extrovert'' when describing himself.) In her 60s, she has reverted to a more mellow being, who now lives to explore art and gentle pursuits. Miss Hey would be the perfect dinner party companion, mellow, and sparkling with a fascinating history.
Virginia is now retired and has settled back in London after 40 years.
Virginia Hey, a devotee of health and well-being, is best known for her roles on TV and film, however all throughout her adult life Virginia has had varied interests, mainly centered around well-being, style, and design.
She pursued her passion for studying natural therapies, naturopathy, reiki, nutrition, and homeopathy, and most recently had her own business designing and hand-making luxury highly styled candles, perfume, and soap. Miss Hey also loves fashion and style and in the '90s was a fashion editor/stylist for two magazines in Australia.
About: Born in Sydney, Australia, Miss Hey was educated in private Catholic convent schools in Sydney and London, a boarding school for a year, and then went on to study fine art at Kogragh, Sydney. Virginia spent many years as a child in England; her mother and father transported the whole family over to further the children's education, and every school holiday was spent exploring museums, art galleries, and places of exquisite culture and architecture. At the time, Miss Hey was between ages nine and 14, so her very first independent thoughts in that important growth period were formed from such exquisite art and beauty she experienced. No wonder Miss Hey is an incurable romantic.
As an adult, she divided her time and education between her hometown and London. Virginia has an extensive bio and a 40-year track history with the entertainment, fashion, natural health, and beauty industry in Australia and the UK.
Her career in front of the camera started as a fashion model whilst she was attending a fine arts diploma course in Sydney, Australia. It seemed that as soon as she stepped one foot outside her home as a 19-year-old, she was pursued by the modeling and TV industry. She had astonishing good looks when she was young. Miss Hey soon found herself snapped up by high-fashion magazines and TV ads.
It was at the beginning of her career that she was invited to take a role in The Buggles video clip for ''Video Killed the Radio Star'' in London in 1979. Australian director Russell Mulcahey cast Virginia, having seen her fashion modeling and TV ad career in Australia. The song went to number one on the charts all over the world, and the video was acclaimed as the very first MTV video clip.
Virginia was also invited to be a part of the Buggles' European TV promotional tour of their number-one hit, and she performed with them as one of the backing singers on music TV shows in several countries. She also appeared on the UK's Top of The Pops in October 1979, and again in the Christmas Top of the Pops show in December 1979.
Miss Hey's acting debut was less than a year later, back in Sydney, with Mel Gibson in the film classic Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981) (aka "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior") as the main-cast character Warrior Woman.
Since then, Ms. Hey has also appeared with numerous international stars, including George C. Scott in Mussolini, Heath Ledger in Roar, James Bond 007 Timothy Dalton in The Living Daylights, and Christopher Atkins in Signal One. One of the shining lights of her career was playing the iconic blue priestess Zhaan, a main-cast character in Farscape (1999-2004).
In the '80s and '90s, Virginia used her public spotlight to bring attention to environmental issues, natural health, and beauty regimes and was a regular popular fun guest on Australian chat shows, which led her in turn to begin teaching health, nutrition, beauty, and meditation during her 40-year career in the public eye.
In the mid-to-late '90s in between acting roles, due to her past at art school and as a supermodel, Virginia was in demand as a freelance fashion and still-life stylist and then became a fashion editor in Sydney for "For Me" and "Bride to Be" magazines until she stepped into the iconic acting role of Zhaan on Farscape, for which she was nominated as Best Support Actress for a Saturn Award.
Miss Hey was brought to the USA in 2001 on the wave of Farscape fan frenzy. Miss Hey received her Alien of Extraordinary Ability green card in 2002 and settled in Santa Monica, California.
While she was in the USA, Virginia worked further on her design skills. Having made perfumes for herself for 30 years, Miss Hey was convinced by thousands of fans at conventions across the US to offer her perfume publicly. For 19 years, Virginia worked tirelessly on two exquisite candle and perfume lines, White Flower Lei and Virginia Hey Couture, both launched in Fred Segal Los Angeles.
In May 2012, she embarked on an appearance tour of the UK for three years and eventually settled permanently back in the UK, where she had spent much of her childhood and was based off and on in the '70s and '80s. Miss Hey lived in Scotland and Wiltshire for a few years, then in late 2019, moved back to London.
Fan Favourite: Virginia, being a fan favorite at Comic-Con appearances due to her friendly, chatty disposition and extensive bio in TV and film, traveled extensively doing appearance dates at Comic-Cons each month throughout the UK, with occasional visits back to the USA to greet fans at Comic-Con appearances. She has been a celebrity guest at hundreds of personal appearances at conventions all over the world.
Royalties: Contrary to popular belief, Australian actors do not receive residuals or royalties for their Australian screen work. This is astonishing if, like Miss Hey, the actor's list of credits is extensive and almost every job is a commercial hit worldwide. This means that over 40 years royalties and residuals generated from 20 productions, all big long-running successes, should have generated millions for Miss Hey.
Alas, all actors working in Australian productions, including Miss Hey, are paid just once for the job. And actors' fees in Australia are nowhere near those of USA and UK actors. All royalties in the actors' names go to the producers. This is written into all actors' contracts. The only exception is if the actor works on a SAG USA film/TV production within Australia, for example, The Matrix. However, nearly all productions within Australia have Australian Actors Union contacts which stipulate that all royalties and residuals are paid to the producers. The Australian Actors Union are fighting hard to reform this. It is an ongoing debate.
This is why you'll see Australian successful actors with multiple careers, unlike their fellow USA actors, who can literally retire on ONE TV commercial's residuals! Miss Hey had lead roles in 57 Australian TV ads, 17 commercial TV series, and eight commercial films. (Additionally, she has acted in a few noncommercial productions for friends over the years. These she does not refer to as commercial.)
July 2020: Miss Hey is single, retired, and living happily and peacefully in London, stating her favorite places in London as the V&A, Primrose Hill, and Chelsea Physic Garden. To stay fit, Virginia loves walking in London's beautiful parks and gardens, does a spot of gardening at home, and attends a Zumba Gold class and two strength classes a week. - Actress
