The requirement to go about naked is just the first of a series of awkward and uneasy situations and interactions between all of them.
- DirectorJessica KingdonYiwu International Trade City is the world's largest market, selling cheap goods wholesale in a city south of Shanghai. The fake flowers, toys, pens and alarm clocks traded in Yiwu eventually end up in dollar stores across the planet, but I focus on the people who sell these goods that we take for granted. As a character study of the market itself, the film peers into the lives of those who run this global trade. The sellers, full of life and individuality, live against the uniformly oppressive backdrop of their livelihood. A somber man painstakingly counts tiny metal parts on his desk in a pen shop. A business lady sweet talks one of her customers, peppering him with insults and compliments, but in between the buying and selling, vendors all find different ways to pass the time in this gigantic mall. A mother yells at a group of young boys, berating them for losing a toy. A man in a suit hums along to a haunting song waiting for a customer as the clocks he is selling tick away. Two young siblings play a video game while lazily eating KFC from the bucket, licking their fingers. While these stories seem small and insignificant, in the context of the film, the dialogue and actions take on new weight and meaning, elevating the quotidian to a realm of discovery.

- DirectorMatthew RankinStarsRobert VilarMaurice KrankNew York, 1905. Visionary inventor Nikola Tesla makes one last appeal to J.P. Morgan, his onetime benefactor. The Tesla World Light is a tragic fantasy about the father of alternating current, inspired by real events such as the inventor's run of bad luck as a businessman and his affection for a pet bird, which he loves "like a man loves a woman."
- DirectorMaxime-Claude L'ÉcuyerStar Wars meets Shakespeare in this timely nod to both the 40th celebration of Star Wars release and the recent 400th anniversary of the Bard's death. Hamlet's famous soliloquy is presented as the inner voice of a Stormtrooper, demonstrating the way Shakespeare's language still echoes down to us through the centuries and remains as relevant today as ever---not to mention as well in a galaxy far, far away...
- DirectorJonathan VinelStarsSarah-Megan AllouchClémence DiardPaul HamyMartin cries. He is alone. He woke up in the morning and all his friends were gone. Disappeared. Just not there. He sets off to look for them.
- DirectorAnne-Marie BouchardOld footage from 16mm film is scratched, drawn upon, and experimentally animated with a quantum dots solution. The film seems at first about sound, the moon, and exotic birds, but it is, for me, more about narration, experimentation, and playfulness.
- DirectorClaire BrognezLouise enjoys a private moment to open her treasure box in the room she shares with her little sister. She does not know that she has been hiding under her bed to spy on her. The film deals with sensuality through a both charming and erotic experience of an involuntary interaction between two sisters.
