Fine Young Cannibals are a soulful and exceptional British pop-rock band from Birmingham, England. The group was formed in 1984 after the disintegration of the British ska revival outfit the Beat. Bassist Andy Cox and guitarist David Steele recruited singer Roland Gift to form Fine Young Cannibals (more than 500 potential singers auditioned for the spot before Cox and Steele decided on Gift). The band's unusual name was inspired by the 1960 film "All the Fine Young Cannibals." The group released their self-titled debut album in 1985. Fine Young Cannibals had two Top 10 UK pop chart hits with the rousing "Johnny Come Home" and an excellent cover of Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds;" both of these songs peaked at #8. The group appeared as a nightclub house band in the 1987 movie "Tin Men." Fine Young Cannibals released their second album "The Raw and the Cooked" in 1988. The band scored massive international smashes with the stirring songs "Good Thing" and "She Drives Me Crazy," both of which soared to the #1 spot on the American Top 40 pop charts in 1989. Fine Young Cannibals broke up in 1992. The band briefly reunited to record the single "The Flame" and released the greatest hits album "The Finest" in 1996. Their songs have been featured on the soundtracks to such films as "Something Wild," "Down Twisted," "Gross Anatomy," "The Handmaid's Tale," "Opportunity Knocks," "Fever Pitch," "Hitch," "Nothing Is Private," and "Doomsday." Gift went on to reactivate the band name and toured as Roland Gift and the Fine Young Cannibals in the 2000s.- Composer

Punk Rock band formed in 1977 in Lodi, New Jersey, USA, by singer/songwriter Glenn Danzig. They are known for being one of the first bands from the "Horror Punk" sub-genre.After some line-up changes, the band recorded their first single, "Cough/Cool", the same year, with: Danzig on vocals and electric piano, Manny Martinez on drums and Jerry Only on bass. In August, 1977 enter guitarist Franché Coma, so Glenn Danzig could focus on singing and songwriting, inspired mainly in B-Horror Movies and Science Fiction from the 50s and 60s. The more stable formation was: Glenn Danzig on vocals, Jerry Only on bass, his younger brother Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein on guitar and former Black Flag drummer Robo (Roberto Valverde). After finishing recording "Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood", Robo left the band in August 1983, due to incompatibilities with Danzig. The Misfits finally disbanded a few months later. After some reissued albums since 1985, like "Legacy of Brutality", former members Jerry Only and Doyle started legal actions against Glenn Danzig for royalties. The battle lasted several years. Eventually, Only gave up with the songwriting credits, but continued a battle for the right to use The Misfits "logo" and name. In 1995 the parties reached a settlement out-of-court, which allowed Only and Doyle to record and perform under The Misfits name, sharing all the merchandising rights with Glenn Danzig. In 1995 Jerry Only and Doyle reformed The Misfits. Glenn Danzig decline to join. The Damned vocalist, David Vanian decline the position too. Only decide for open auditions, while recruiting drummer Dr. Chud. 19 years old Michale Graves won the singer position. They started touring as The Misfits and released 2 new albums: "American Psycho" (1997) and "Famous Monsters" (1999). Tension between band members lead to a disband in 2000. Since 2001, Jerry Only have keep playing and recording under The Misfits, with different musicians, such as drummer Marky Ramone (from Ramones ), former Black Flag guitarist Dez Cadena and even former band-mate, drummer Robo.- Composer

My Bloody Valentine is an Irish-English alternative rock band formed in Dublin in 1983, known for their early and highly influential shoegaze recordings. Since 1987, the band's lineup has consisted of founding members Kevin Shields (vocals, guitar, sampler), Colm Ó Cíosóig (drums, sampler), Bilinda Butcher (vocals, guitar) and Debbie Googe (bass). Their music is distinguished by dissonant guitar textures, androgynous vocals, and unorthodox production techniques. Following several unsuccessful early releases and membership changes, My Bloody Valentine signed to Creation Records in 1988. The band released several successful EPs and the albums Isn't Anything (1988) and Loveless (1991) on the label; the latter is often described as their magnum opus and one of the best rock albums of the 1990s. However, My Bloody Valentine were dropped by Creation after its release due to the album's extensive production costs. In 1992, the band signed to Island Records and recorded several albums worth of unreleased material, remaining largely inactive. Googe and Ó Cíosóig left the band in 1995, and were followed by Butcher in 1997. Unable to complete a follow-up to Loveless, Shields isolated himself and, in his own words, "went crazy". In 2007, My Bloody Valentine reunited and subsequently embarked on a world tour. They released the compilation EP's 1988-1991 in 2012. Their long-delayed third studio album, m b v, was released in 2013 and supported by further touring.- Music Department

Pink was born Alecia Beth Moore in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and was later raised in Philadelphia. Her parents, Judith Moore (née Kugel), a nurse, and Jim Moore, a Vietnam veteran, divorced when she was very young. Her mother is from an Ashkenazi Jewish family, while her father has Irish, German, and English ancestry. As a child, all Pink wanted was to become a singer, and she was driven by the music of Madonna, Mary J. Blige, 4 Non Blondes, Janis Joplin, Billy Joel and Whitney Houston. She was a very unique teenager, and went through phases as a skateboarder, hip-hopper and gymnast.
Pink spent several years as part of the club scene in Philadelphia, singing guest spots and performing for talent shows. At the age of 13, she was asked by a local DJ to sing back-up for his rap group, Schools of Thought. A short time later, she was discovered by a record executive and joined a female R&B group, Choice. When that didn't work out, she signed with LaFace Records and began her solo career. In spring 2000, she released her debut, "Can't Take Me Home". She co-wrote many songs and watched it go multi-platinum by the year's end. Her debut included the Top 10 hit, "There You Go", which was certified a gold single.
Pink is now considered an icon in the world of pop music. For example, in 2019 she won the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music, becoming the first non-British artist to have won the award since the Brit Awards began in 1977 (originally known as the BPI Awards). This was especially impressive as she was chosen ahead of the likes of Phil Collins, a British musician who has sold more records and had a longer career but never won the award.- Soundtrack
