- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleHeath LedgerAaron EckhartWhen the menace known as the Joker wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, Batman must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice.Heath's performance as "The Joker" won an Academy Award and is one of the greatest performances in the history of film. I hate Superhero films, but I have watched this film 30 times. I was a close friend of Heath's and I am so pleased that he will always be remembered by lovers of film.
- DirectorTerry GilliamStarsChristopher PlummerLily ColeHeath LedgerHaving made a deal with the Devil himself for immortality many millennia ago, the now decrepit mystic Doctor Parnassus fights for the freedom of his only daughter's soul.A masterpiece of a film and a beautiful performance by Heath. Heath was truly coming into his acting prime. Terry Gilliam is a Genius.
- DirectorGil JungerStarsHeath LedgerJulia StilesJoseph Gordon-LevittA high-school boy, Cameron, cannot date Bianca until her anti-social older sister, Kat, has a boyfriend. So, Cameron pays a mysterious boy, Patrick, to charm Kat.A "Cute" film, but no masterpiece like "The Breakfast Club". Heath is charming,Funny and perfect in his role.
- DirectorTerry GilliamStarsMatt DamonHeath LedgerMonica BellucciWill and Jake Grimm are traveling con-artists who encounter a genuine fairy-tale curse which requires true courage instead of their usual bogus exorcisms.Another Terry Gilliam film. Heath is superb as Mat Damon's dreamer of a brother. If only Heath had lived to do a Woody Allen film!!!
- DirectorCatherine HardwickeStarsHeath LedgerEmile HirschVictor RasukThe film follows the surf and skateboarding trends that originated in Venice, California during the 1970s.Heath and this film did not get the credit they deserved. Heath was spot on! I remember this period of time and it's real life characters. I practically lived on my skateboard. The DVD is worth owning just for Heath's performance.
- DirectorBrian HelgelandStarsHeath LedgerMark AddyRufus SewellAfter his master dies, a peasant squire, fueled by his desire for food and glory, creates a new identity for himself as a knight.Cute and just corny enough. Wonderfully uplifting film with a solid performance by Heat and some scene stealing from Paul Bettany and James Purefoy, as well as Shanyn Sossomon's painful beauty ;-)
- DirectorTodd HaynesStarsChristian BaleCate BlanchettHeath LedgerRuminations on the life of Bob Dylan, where six characters embody a different aspect of the musician's life and work.Heath is not the star of this film. It has many stars. A very different and interesting film inspired by Bob Dylan. Good film and good acting. Cate Blanchet steals the film with a perfect imitation of Dylan!
- DirectorBrian HelgelandStarsHeath LedgerMark AddyShannyn SossamonA young priest is sent to Rome to investigate the troubling death of the head of his order. This film is much better than it's reviews! It is a decent horror film with the big bonus of having Heath as it's star.
- DirectorAng LeeStarsJake GyllenhaalHeath LedgerMichelle WilliamsEnnis and Jack are two shepherds who develop a sexual and emotional relationship. Their relationship becomes complicated when both of them get married to their respective girlfriends. If I separate myself from the fact that this film was beyond boring, had no story worth relating and was truly sickening (I was waiting for Jake to marry a sheep).....Heath seemed to fall into the "I want to be a mumbling Brando/James Dean". Heath's talent did not lie in being silent.
This is an adult only film and although I am not a homophobe, this film will upset many people. Even my gay friends thought this film was trash, made to get Oscar nominations. This film fails to tell any story. Heath was nominated for an Oscar, which is meaningless, and Michelle Williams (who was nothing short of dreadful) was also nominated and won (if memory serves). - DirectorLasse HallströmStarsHeath LedgerSienna MillerJeremy IronsThe fabled romantic Giacomo Casanova, after failing to win the affection of the Venetian woman Francesca Bruni, strives to discover the real meaning of love.Heath stars as the legendary lover. He should have left it to Errol Flynn "The adventures of Don Juan". Not a good film and Heath seems as if he is in another film entirely. Poorly written, acted and directed.
