Cleveland native Mary Carey was born into what could be charitably called a dysfunctional family. Both of her parents were mentally handicapped (her mother had been diagnosed as a schizophrenic) and she was taken away from her parents by her grandparents when she was three months old. After her parents divorced, her mother moved in with Mary and her grandparents. At seven years of age the family moved from Cleveland to Florida, and the next year Mary was legally adopted by her grandparents.
Mary continued in Florida with the dance lessons she had started taking in Cleveland, and was a straight-A student in school. Her stage debut occurred at 12 years of age when she performed "The Nutcracker" with the Miami City Ballet, and she was bitten hard by the performing bug. Her dancing skills were honed by attendance at a prestigious dance school, and she was being offered dance scholarships from many different institutions. Then, at age 16, her grandfather developed lung cancer and died within a few months. Her grandmother's Parkinson's Disease worsened, and on top of that her body began to develop and she no longer had the thin body considered desirable for a ballerina. She was told to lose weight and get a breast reduction, but instead decided to leave ballet altogether and tried out for and won a place on the dance team at Florida State University, where she was enrolled. In the meantime her grandmother's health deteriorated even further, and soon their financial situation became precarious. In order to keep their head above water, Mary looked around for a job that could pay the kind of money they needed, and found a job as a model on an adult Internet site. From there she landed a job as a stripper. She saw that the strippers who commanded the big money were the featured girls, and an agent told her that the best way to become a featured stripper was to get a following doing porn. She traveled to Los Angeles and made the rounds of the adult-film producers and studios, eventually landing a job with Playboy TV.
Just prior to the recall campaign against California Governor Gray Davis, Mary signed a contract with Kick Ass Pictures, and as a publicity gag they came up with the idea that Mary should enter the field of a dozen or so candidates trying to replace Davis, so she soon publicly declared her intention to run for governor. The stunt worked out far better than they had hoped for, as Mary's bubbly personality and sense of humor about herself, her profession and the campaign itself - not to mention her beauty - endeared her to the California public. Although some political pundits wrote her off as a joke, her "campaign" received extensive coverage in the statewide media and she drew enthusiastic crowds at her appearances. Although she didn't win the election, she did manage to garner more than 11,000 votes. After the election Mary continued to turn out videos, which continue to sell well, and she is, besides Jenna Jameson, one of the porn stars most recognized by the general public.- Actress

An ageless beauty with the face and figure of a woman decades younger, on-screen and off, it doesn't take long to find yourself under her spell. She possesses an intensity, sharp wit, a penchant for bucking traditional gender roles, and a wild spark of passion for life that's evident in her every action. An empathetic, self-aware woman with a compelling personality and a strong voice; Arlen is all this, and more.
Arlen was born Elizabeth Faye Arlen on the Camp Lejune Marine base to a Jewish father and Catholic mother, who met in New York at Syracuse University. Her parents moved to Los Angeles when Elizabeth was three. She was raised on North Amalfi Drive in Pacific Palisades, where her next door neighbor was Leonard Freeman, creator and producer of the original Hawaii Five-0 series. In the neighborhood lived Norman Felton, Jerry Paris, director Martin Ritt, and around the corner resided her father's best friend, Rod Serling. Despite growing up in the presence of Hollywood elite, Arlen didn't consider becoming involved in the entertainment industry until her college years.
She credits her parents for her well-rounded sensibilities and education. Her father, Harold Arlen, was a prominent psychoanalyst, who was once portrayed by Karl Malden in Patty Duke's autobiographical film Call Me Anna. Her mother, Mary Arlen, was an accomplished and talented painter and sculptor. Her parents encouraged her to seek knowledge and experience activities she was interested in from a very early age. Never coddled, she was taught to fight her own battles and solve her own conflicts even as a child. Several times in her teens and early college years, talent scouts attempted to recruit Arlen, but her father refused to let her sign any contracts. She was raised on the principle that a college education was more important than anything else.
In addition to being a great student, Arlen enjoyed athletics from a young age. She played basketball in elementary school and went on to become a sprinter in high school. It was much earlier in life, however, that her interest in both sports and acting would appear. Arlen started ballet at four, and was on stage at age six, when she performed in a ballet recital at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. In elementary school she would often re-enact scenes from movies for her friends on the playground at recess. Arlen was a natural performer from the start.
The first time she thought she might enjoy acting was at age fifteen, when Arlen and her parents attended a production of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" with The Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford-Upon-Avon. She was captivated by the performance, and thought, "I can do that."
As a teen, however, she most wanted to follow a career path in law or psychology. Though she would soon fall into acting as a hobby, Arlen initially never intended to pursue it professionally. She was elected student body president in high school, and was very interested in politics. Arlen dreamed of fighting for human rights in her work. That strong sense of right and wrong, just and unjust, is still a vital and overt component of her personality today.
She began her studies at UCLA at the age of sixteen to major in Psychology. In the summer after her first year of college, at seventeen, Arlen was chosen for the lead role of Lisa in a production of David and Lisa, whose character suffered from Dissociative Identity Disorder (split personality). It was in that production she met David Madden, who was playing a supporting role. She would later marry Madden and spend the next twenty-eight years with him.
Arlen had such a great experience with David and Lisa, and received such rave reviews, that she decided to apply to the drama department at UCLA. Her earliest inspiration, and the actor whose work most influenced her to pursue acting professionally, was Al Pacino. She was mesmerized by his iconic performances in Serpico, The Godfather sagas, and Dog Day Afternoon. While attending UCLA, Arlen appeared on Days of Our Lives, and studied acting in earnest for many years at the university, the Lee Strasberg Institute, and with teachers Joan Darling, Milton Katselas, and the legendary stage director, Jose Quintero. Quintero once said of Arlen, "She's a bottomless well of emotion, you can pull and pull and pull from her and she will never tire." Even today, Arlen becomes passionate when she talks about how exhilarating it was to work with Quintero. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Theater Arts and a minor in Psychology.
Arlen approached acting as an opportunity to explore the psyches of the characters she would inhabit. "From a psychological standpoint," she once said, "you're on the outside, looking in. As an actor, you immerse yourself until you become the character, and are on the inside, looking out." "It's fascinating how your rhythms organically change while you're preparing for a role. As you start to transform into the character; you begin to walk differently, your speech patterns alter, you start to unconsciously dress the way the character would. It's this subtle process of morphing that overtakes you in the most natural form."
Elizabeth Arlen describes herself as a method actor who took the task of becoming the character very seriously. In his personal blog, writing about the filming of The Kid, director Jon Turteltaub said of Arlen, "She's a fantastic actress, but she's not really onscreen that much. However, what she was doing off-camera was everything. Her off-camera performance carried Bruce [Willis] through. He relied really heavily on her to bring him to whatever emotional place he wanted to go. Again, it shows that no matter how small the role, a great actor can make a huge contribution."
After graduating college, Arlen began her acting career wholeheartedly in the theater. In addition to performing in various Los Angeles-based theater productions, she also joined Theatre West, an internationally acclaimed non-profit arts organization in Hollywood, whose members have included Richard Dreyfuss, Carroll O'Connor, Harold Gould, Beau Bridges, and Martin Landau. While working in the theater, she enjoyed alternating between dramatic and comedic characters. It wasn't long before Arlen got her first film role, which was a small scene with Dudley Moore and Albert Brooks in Unfaithfully Yours (1984).
Following Unfaithfully Yours, she scored a series of progressively larger roles in films such as Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks (1984), and in the same year, Amy Heckerling cast Arlen as Michael Keaton's teenage girlfriend in Johnny Dangerously. She went on to play Rochelle, a rape victim in the somber film The Ladies Club. She followed this with a silly role in Moving Violations, after which Joel Schumacher cast her as Libby, Mare Winningham's sister, in St. Elmo's Fire. She was again picked by Amy Heckerling to play Mrs. Garland, the amorous newlywed in National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985). Arlen was next cast as the harried, overwhelmed E.R. nurse with Richard Pryor in Critical Condition (1987).
Her talent eventually led to more significant roles. She was cast in an ensemble comedy for Paramount called The Whoopee Boys, which centers on a group of misfits attending a charm school to learn manners (directed by John Byrum). She played Shelley, the flipped-out ex-acid-head and semi-reformed ax-murderess. Arlen felt strongly about the shortage and insignificance of women's roles, so she occasionally requested to audition for parts that were originally written for males. Shelley was supposed to be a man, but Arlen pushed to read for the part at her audition. She was positively reviewed for the role. Duane Byrge of the Hollywood Reporter Film Review wrote, "Arlen gives off a softly perfect loony glint as the Lizzie Borden etiquette learner."
From her slew of comedic roles, Bernie Brillstein's company suggested Arlen for a regular on Saturday Night Live. Arlen was flown to New York and put up at the Berkshire to audition. Having fallen in love with making movies and married to a man who had to remain in Los Angeles, she was very hesitant about moving to New York. She "threw" her audition, and still considers that moment to be one of the biggest mistakes she made in her acting career.
Soon after this, Arlen went in to read for a female supporting role in a comedy called Traxx, written and produced by the late Gary DeVore. While she was there, she requested to audition for the role of a male character: an out-of-control lawyer representing the scum of the town for the ACLU; bigger-than-life, broad and bombastic. They laughed so hard at Arlen's audition, DeVore practically fell off the couch. They gave Arlen the role, altering nothing but the character's name -- from Malcolm to Madeline. Though her character was ultimately cut due to a change in story line later in filming, DeVore called Arlen after the film was released to tell her he thought her performance was magnificent, and was saddened she was not in the final version.
After Traxx, Arlen won the coveted role of Elaine Wells in the dramatic DOA for Touchstone, playing the doctor and friend of Dennis Quaid who gives him the dreaded news he has less than forty-eight-hours left to live.
Later that year, she was cast by Anthony Perkins to play Arlene, Joe Alaskey's best friend in Lucky Stiff, and in 1990 she co-starred in the gritty supernatural thriller, The First Power, starring Lou Diamond Phillips. She played Sister Marguerite, the nun who teams up with Phillips to capture a serial killer who's come back from the dead, and in the process ends up getting possessed, herself. While shooting The First Power, the cinematographer of the film, Theo Van de Sande suggested Arlen for the lead in his wife, Michele Ohayon's, first American short film called Salamander. Arlen gave a gripping dramatic performance about a wallflower who finds her strength and power through her sexuality.
Her versatility as an actress, and her excellence in both true-to-life dramatic roles and far-out comedic characters, allowed her to land a wide range of characters, and she played each of them with equal skill and intensity.
In 1994, Arlen starred in an Interscope movie released on Lifetime that was directed by David Madden called A Part of the Family. The story revolves around a woman with a repressed past who brings her husband home to meet her family for the first time. Madden cast his wife in his directorial debut because, knowing her capabilities as an actress, he was confident he could rely on her to deliver what he needed. This proved to be a wise decision. At Madden's request, Arlen ended up looping (dubbing in ADR) the five-year-old child who plays her character in flashback throughout the film. She also improvised a gut-wrenching monologue, the climax of the film, on the last day of shooting to replace footage Madden shot the night before without her in it, that didn't work. It was one of the few scenes in the movie that she originally wasn't scripted to be in.
Working again with Madden, she had a cameo playing Jim Belushi's close friend, Dee Harris, the ballistic specialist in Separate Lives.
In 1999, Arlen played one of the leads in the TV movie for Showtime, In The Company Of Spies, with Tom Berenger and Ron Silver; about a group of brainy specialists in the CIA think tank who are brought together to help retrieve a captured agent in North Korea and obtain the vital information he gathered. The film was written by Roger Towne and directed by Tim Matheson. The premiere for the film was held at the CIA headquarters in Langley, and was the first (and currently only) film the CIA has ever approved about the Agency.
In 2000, Jon Turteltaub offered Arlen the part of Bruce Willis's young, thirty-something mother in The Kid, who was dying of cancer in the flashback sequences in the film. While she was filming, her father died of terminal cancer, and The Kid was the last film Arlen did before her life took a sharp turn. After landing a succession of roles and garnering highly positive reviews that gave every indication of a long, vibrant acting career, she seemed to disappear.
Though she stopped acting altogether, Arlen was only absent from the public eye. During this period, she continued working with various screenwriters and producers in script development, which allowed her the time she needed to focus on the tumult in her personal life.
Day-to-day existence took center stage as she struggled through a string of personal tragedies. The death of her father moved to the forefront of her life, even as she found herself hospitalized with a nearly fatal case of Peritonitis. In a very Hollywood-esque "eleventh hour" scenario, the doctor on call performed emergency surgery and managed to save her life, against the odds. It was during her recovery that she and her husband separated. The heartbreak of her divorce from Madden was followed closely by her mother's death and years of a difficult and lengthy probate litigation around her parents' estate, which resulted in estrangement from her family.
As Arlen came to terms with her losses, she began to see a shift in her perspective. She reconsidered what it meant to be an actress, a lover, and an intelligent, dynamic woman in today's world. She began to write, and as her thoughts flowed, she found her grief gave strong focus to the things that mattered most.
From her well of insights and observations, Arlen created a book she hopes will help other women find fulfillment in love. Through this highly personal work, Elizabeth Arlen emerged, transformed and renewed.
In her upcoming book, (Title TBA), Arlen channels the knowledge and emotion borne of her own obstacles and experiences into an enlightening, humorous, and cathartic journey to better understanding what makes relationships work.
When asked what the future holds, Arlen says, "When you have come close to dying, you're reminded how short life is, and inevitably want to do something purposeful. I'm focused on moving forward with my book, because I really hope it will inspire women to pursue satisfying relationships and bring genuine love back into their lives."
Whatever Elizabeth Arlen chooses to do, one thing is certain: like she, it will be memorable. - Actress

Liv Tyler is an actress of international renown and has been a familiar face on our screens for over two decades and counting. She began modelling at the age of fourteen before pursuing a career in acting. After making her film debut in Bruce Beresford's Silent Fall, she was cast by fledgling director James Mangold (who would go on to direct such hits as Girl, Interrupted, Walk the Line and Logan) in his first feature Heavy, a critical and commercial success that went on to gain cult status. This was followed by another indie cult hit, Empire Records, but it was the leading role in Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty that catapulted her to stardom at the age of eighteen.
Liv was next seen in Tom Hanks' hugely successful passion project That Thing You Do!, his paean to the glory days of 1960s rock 'n' roll (as the child of a rock 'n' roll background, this was a film whose subject was also dear to Liv's heart). This was followed by Michael Bay's action blockbuster Armageddon, starring alongside Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck and Steve Buscemi, who would later go on to direct Liv in Lonesome Jim.
Liv had come to the attention of director Robert Altman in Stealing Beauty and the late, great auteur went on to cast her in two of his final projects, Cookie's Fortune and Dr T and the Women, describing her as "very serious, very prepared and very professional...I am crazy about her."
In between her work for Altman, Liv starred opposite Ralph Fiennes in Onegin, directed by his sister Martha, from the classic novel by Alexander Pushkin. Ralph Fiennes said of Liv, "We tested a lot of actresses but Liv has an acute sense of emotional truth that's not performed or projected, but just is."
In 2001, Liv portrayed Arwen in the ground-breaking epic The Lord of the Rings trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King.
Nothing if not eclectic, Liv then defied expectations by starring in cult director Kevin Smith's gentle low-budget comedy Jersey Girl, re-uniting her with her Armageddon co-star Ben Affleck, before playing Betty, the female lead to Edward Norton's Bruce Banner in Marvel's The Incredible Hulk.
An actress who consistently refuses to be pigeonholed, Liv's career is one that cuts across genres; she cannot be defined by the roles she has chosen and is led, above all, by what speaks to her on an instinctual and emotional level. "It's very difficult to say no to whatever comes along," Tom Hanks has said of her, "...But she's saying no to all the right things."
In addition to her acting work, Liv has forged a decade-long relationship with Givenchy as the spokesperson for their fragrance and cosmetics line. Liv is also a brand ambassador for Triumph lingerie, developing a capsule collection that celebrates the company's commitment to body confidence, as exemplified by Liv herself, "a modern woman in every sense, a mother and actress with a fierce sense of femininity that women across the world can relate to."
Liv's previous design collaboration was with Belstaff, resulting in two capsule collections for the iconic British heritage brand. Liv has also been the face of commercial campaigns for several global brands, including Visa and Pantene.- Actress

Lindsay Dee Lohan was born in New York City, on 2 July 1986, to Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan. She began her career at age three as a Ford model, and also made appearances in over sixty television commercials, including spots for The Gap, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, and Jell-O (opposite Bill Cosby). Lohan made her acting debut in 1996 as the third actress to play Ali Fowler in the television drama Another World (1964). Shortly afterward she was hand-picked by Oscar-nominated writer Nancy Meyers as estranged twin sisters in an adaptation by Walt Disney Pictures of a novel by Erich Kästner, which marked Meyers' directorial debut. Lohan's first feature film, The Parent Trap (1998), a remake of The Parent Trap (1961), was a modest commercial success, earning her widespread critical acclaim and a Young Artist award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film, as well as Blockbuster Entertainment and YoungStar award nominations.
After signing a three-movie contract with Disney, she returned to the small screen to star in the made-for-TV movies Life-Size (2000) (opposite Tyra Banks) and Get a Clue (2002) (opposite Bug Hall). She also appeared as Rose in the pilot episode of the short-lived comedy series Bette (2000), which starred Bette Midler.
In June 2001 Lohan took a brief hiatus from acting. Her music career was launched over a year later, when Estefan Enterprises made a five-album production deal with her in September 2002, and she signed a recording contract with the reactivated Casablanca Records.
However, Lohan was not turning her back on her blossoming acting career. Just over a month previously she had been cast opposite Jamie Lee Curtis for another Disney adaptation of a novel, this time a fantasy comedy by Mary Rodgers. Freaky Friday (2003), a remake of Freaky Friday (1976), was a huge hit (generating over $160 million in worldwide box office receipts) and critics were spellbound by delightful performances from Lohan and Curtis (who went on to receive a Golden Globe nomination for her work). In addition, Lohan won the 2004 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female, as well as a Saturn award nomination and another Young Artist award nomination.
Lohan relocated permanently to Los Angeles between projects and moved into an apartment with fellow actress Raven-Symoné. She also dated pop star Aaron Carter for a short time.
Her next acting role was the title character in the comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), a Disney adaptation of the novel by Dyan Sheldon. The film received scathing reviews upon its release and died a quick death at the box office, but even the harshest of critics were impressed by Lohan's charming turn as aspiring actress Lola.
Lohan's next project, Mean Girls (2004), saw her reunite with Freaky Friday (2003) director Mark Waters. Inspired by a non-fiction book by Rosalind Wiseman and written by Saturday Night Live (1975) scribe Tina Fey, the high-school comedy-drama opened to glowing reviews and grossed $86 million in the US. This earned her status as a bankable actress, and a salary of $7.5 million for the Donald Petrie romantic comedy Just My Luck (2006).
One of the most sought-after young actresses in the industry, she starred in Bobby (2006) (opposite Demi Moore and Sharon Stone), the Disney fantasy adventure Herbie Fully Loaded (2005) (a pseudo-sequel to The Love Bug (1969)) and the critically acclaimed A Prairie Home Companion (2006). On top of a thriving film career Lohan also launched a music career, releasing her debut album, "Speak," which hit shelves in December 2004.
In 2009 Lohan launched her own fashion line titled 6126, mainly focusing on the production of women's leggings. By spring she launched a self-tanning spray line titled "Sevin Nyne" and by the end of the year she became an artistic designer for fashion house Ungaro.
Lindsay continues her career in acting, having played a supporting role in the action film Machete (2010).- Actress

Bryce Dallas Howard was born on March 2, 1981, in Los Angeles, California. She was conceived in Dallas, Texas (the reason for her middle name). Her father, Ron Howard, is a former actor turned Oscar-winning director. Her mother is actress and writer Cheryl Howard (née Alley). Her famous relatives include her uncle, actor Clint Howard, and her grandparents, actors Rance Howard and Jean Speegle Howard. She also has two younger twin sisters, Jocelyn and Paige Howard (also an actress), born in 1985, and a brother, Reed Howard, born in 1987. Her ancestry includes German, English, Scottish, and Irish.
Howard was raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, because her parents decided to raise their four children as far away from the trappings of showbiz milieu as possible. During most of her childhood, she really did not have much access to a TV. She attended Greenwich Country Day School, and Byram Hills High School in Armonk, New York. At that time, she discovered existentialism and devoured books by Albert Camus and Jean-Paul Sartre. She attended the prestigious Steppenwolf School and Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts camp at Catskills, together with her friend, Natalie Portman. She applied to drama school as Bryce Dallas, dropping her last name to eschew special treatment because of association with her renowned father. From 1999-2003, she studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory and at the New York University Tisch School of Arts and graduated with a BFA degree in Drama in 2003. At that time, she performed in Broadway productions of classical plays by George Bernard Shaw, William Shakespeare and Anton Chekhov.
Young Howard appeared in three of her father's films as an extra, including her appearance as a child together with her mother in Apollo 13 (1995). She made her feature-film debut as Heather, a supporting role in Book of Love (2004) by director Alan Brown. Director M. Night Shyamalan was impressed by her performance in a Broadway play and cast her, without an audition, as a female lead in his two thrillers: The Village (2004) and Lady in the Water (2006). Howard replaced Nicole Kidman in the Dogville (2003) sequel, Manderlay (2005). She starred as Rosalind in As You Like It (2006), a reprise of her stage role that made such an impression on Shyamalan. She also played Gwen Stacy in the third installment of the Spider-Man franchise, Spider-Man 3 (2007), and the female lead, Claire, in the sequel Jurassic World (2015). Both films broke the records for highest openings weekends at the time of their release. Among Bryce's other major films are Terminator Salvation (2009), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), The Help (2011), and 50/50 (2011).
Howard became a devoted vegan, after Joaquin Phoenix showed her Earthlings (2005), a documentary about animal cruelty. After seeing that, she has consumed no animal products, not even milk or eggs. Her other activities outside of the acting profession include playing basketball and writing.
On June 17, 2006, in Connecticut, she married her long-time boyfriend, actor Seth Gabel, whom she met at New York University and had dated for five years. Picture-pretty brunette Margaret Lindsay was one of a number of pleasant, sweet-natured ingénues who could do no wrong in a score of 1930s stylish Hollywood pictures. Such altruistic love interests were often overlooked in pictures that were carried by the flashy histrionics of a jaunty James Cagney or temperamental Bette Davis, both of whom she supported in several films. Ergo, while she was a lovely distraction and a highly capable talent, Margaret failed to ignite and command the attention of a truer star.
The Dubuque, Iowa-born lovely was christened Margaret Kies in real life, the eldest of six (she had four sisters (Helen, Jane, Lori, Mickie), one brother (Jack)). Her father, a druggist, enrolled her at the National Park Seminary in Washington, DC. The acting bug hit Margaret quite early, however, and she subsequently attended New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts to pursue her dream. Unable to find work in New York, she traveled to England for further speech and acting study. Here she made her professional stage debut and gained experience and confidence in such plays as "Escape," "By Candlelight," and "Death Takes a Holiday". With her resume now consisting of strong theatre credits, she returned to the States hoping to finally make a mark on Broadway, but again her career stalled. While waiting for a show of hers to open following production delays (eventually she co-starred on Broadway opposite Roland Young in "Another Love Story"), Margaret had a number of screen tests arranged for her. Shelving her Iowa-based roots, Universal took an interest in the "British stage actress" and signed her on. She made her debut in Okay America! (1932) and toiled in a few minor roles before taking full advantage of her "English tea rose" reputation with a small but noticeable part in the "all-British" grand-scale epic film Cavalcade (1933) as an optimistic honeymooner on board the fateful H.M.S.Titanic.
Warner Bros. then picked up her option and began featuring her gracefully opposite such magnanimous stars as Leslie Howard, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., George Arliss and Humphrey Bogart. "Americanized" as a lead and second lead, she was able to drop the British pretense and appeared opposite Cagney in Lady Killer (1933), Devil Dogs of the Air (1935), Frisco Kid (1935) and 'G' Men (1935). The studio had her work as a second-lead to Ms. Davis as well in such films as Fog Over Frisco (1934) and Bordertown (1935). Of note, she supported Davis in both her Oscar-winning "Best Actress" pictures -- Dangerous (1935) and Jezebel (1938). She also took on a Davis castoff role in Garden of the Moon (1938), a musical in which Margaret did not sing.
Margaret's longstanding problem was that she was either involved in minor pictures that would do nothing to advance her career or was handed oblique secondary roles in "A" pictures wherein she played the star's best friend, light romantic rival or socialite. One of Margaret's sisters, Jane Gilbert was briefly an actress in the late 1930s/early '40s and was once married to Perry Mason (1957) co-star William Hopper, who played private investigator Paul Drake.
Following one of her best roles as Hepzibah in Nathaniel Hawthorne's The House of the Seven Gables (1940), Margaret signed up with Columbia in the recurring "Ellery Queen" series (seven in all) as mystery writer Nikki Porter opposite either Ralph Bellamy or William Gargan's title crime solver. Probably her best remembered role, this renewed popularity did not guarantee "A" pictures and she remained for the most part in second tier filming. One of her more atypical roles came as a man-baiting saloon girl in The Vigilantes Return (1947). In the 1940s, she replenished her film resume with secondary ladylike roles behind Joan Bennett in Scarlet Street (1945), Lana Turner in Cass Timberlane (1947) and Barbara Stanwyck in B.F.'s Daughter (1948). Margaret also sought work on TV and on the legit stage in the next decade. Her final film was in typically pleasant mode as Nurse Colman in Tammy and the Doctor (1963) showcasing a nubile Sandra Dee.
Margaret never married in real life but remained close to her family. Her dating companions were typically "safe" stars such as Cesar Romero, Richard Deacon, and even Liberace. For much of her time in Hollywood, Margaret shared a home with a close sister. She died at age 70 in Los Angeles of emphysema in the spring of 1981.- Pamela Bowen is known for Detroit Rock City (1999), The Player (1992) and Broken at Love (2012). The girl who one day would be known as "Winnipeg's Sweetheart" was born at Grace Hospital on December 4, 1921, as Edna Mae Durbin. In her early childhood there were no obvious signs that one day she would be a bigger box office attraction than Shirley Temple. Renamed Deanna Durbin for show business purposes, by age 21 she was the most highly paid female star in the world. Her major motion pictures were Three Smart Girls (1936), Mad About Music (1938) and That Certain Age (1938). By the time she was 18 her income was $250,000 a year. Her voice was often described as "natural and beautiful" and her version of "One Fine Day" from Madame Butterfly, became a classic. Deanna was a Hollywood star in every way. There were Deanna Durbin dolls and dresses. An engineering firm named its so-called dream home in her honor. Her first screen kiss was described in a headline story across the continent. What makes Deanna Durbin's story different is that she was never comfortable with adulation. When she was at the top of her career as Hollywood's leading actress and singer, she turned her back on that world for a life of seclusion. Her first two marriages had failed, and before she married her third husband, director Charles David, she set one condition: he had to promise that she could have what she yearned for - "the life of nobody". Her seclusion is incomplete. She lives in the French village of Neauphlé-le-Château, and for over 35 years has resisted every approach from film companies. Her husband has told journalists that "Mario Lanza pleaded with her for years to make a film with him. But she will never go back to that life." She granted only one interview since 1949 to film historian David Shipman in 1983.- Emily Rebecca Swallow was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Sterling, VA and Jacksonville, FL.
She earned a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia and interned at the State Department, but an acting teacher at UVA noticed her passion and talent for acting and singing and encouraged her to pursue further training. She auditioned for the prestigious NYU Tisch Graduate Acting Program and was accepted into their MFA Program.
On television, Emily is best known for Supernatural (2005), The Mentalist (2008), How to Get Away with Murder (2014), Monday Mornings (2013), and the highly anticipated Disney+ Series The Mandalorian (2019). She can also be heard as the voice of Dracula's ill-fated true love, Lisa Tepes, in the Netflix series Castlevania (2017).
Emily continues to act on stage whenever she can, starring in world premieres of Donald Margulies play The Country House at LA's Geffen Playhouse, opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins' play Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club and in High Fidelity on Broadway. In summer of 2018 she played a lady AND a charlatan opposite Tom Hanks' Falstaff in the Shakespeare Center Los Angeles production of Henry IV Parts 1&2. She was part of the LA Drama Critics' Circle Award-Winning 2016 production of Disgraced at the Mark Taper Forum in LA and she won the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her performance as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew at the Old Globe in San Diego.
Emily is a gifted singer; she has done her share of musicals and rock concerts. In 2012, Emily and fellow singer/comedienne Jac Huberman created a stage show called Jac N Swallow, which they perform in New York at the Laurie Beechman Theater and Joe's Pub. Miss Nude Universe twice in a row, in 1970 and 1971, got her a topless non-speaking part in The New Centurions (1972). Started working as a maid for fellow nude model and actress Stella Stevens, went on tour as a strip-dancer for three years. Then she met talent-finder Russ Meyer, with whom she lived on-and-off for 15 years, and who apparently paid for her breast enhancement in 1979. They didn't marry because her first husband, 25 years her senior, wouldn't grant her a divorce (eventually he did, and she subsequently married, and divorced, three times). She appeared in many hardcore productions in the 1980s and 1990s, where she would not perform in explicit sex scenes; she would only say a line or be photographed topless. Her wild beauty, personal charm and sex appeal left her image imprinted on the viewer's mind, often more indelible than the film stars. In her later films she appeared plump, but still attractive. Chris Penn remembered her 44-25-35 dimensions from his earlier film The Wild Life (1984), in which Kitten also danced, and he presented his brother Sean Penn with an eye-popping, erotic performance by Kitten Natividad on the eve of his marriage to Madonna. She underwent a double mastectomy for treatment of breast cancer in October 1999.- Actress

By the time she reached age 11 she had moved on from the children's choir to the Tampa-based children's performing arts troupe Entertainment Revue. This group consisted of 20 girls ages 5 to 16 who toured the area and sang at such places as Walt Disney World and Busch Gardens. Willa moved her way up from a chorus member to the role of featured soloist. When Willa was 15 she left the troupe and landed spot with a local foursome called FLA. She didn't stay long with the group before deciding to head out to Los Angeles.
In 1999 Willa then performing under the stage name Mandah was signed to Music Corporation of America MCA. While with MCA she released a song called Lullaby on the double-platinum soundtrack Pokemon The First Movie. She also landed a spot as an opening act for the Backstreet Boys which brought her attention for her performances as well as her relationship with one of the groups members Nick Carter. Soon Willas label changed her stage name from Mandah to avoid confusion with another female singer to Willa Ford and tried to promote her as a beautiful singer with a good girl image. After some negative publicity that tainted their clean-cut image for Willa MCA decided to drop her letting her move on to a label that would embrace her bad girl image.
While during a mall tour for Nautica Kids Willa was noticed by LavaAtlantic Records. It wasn't long before LavaAtlantic would give Willa a deal and put her into their recording studio with a diverse variety of writers and producers. Unlike some other teen singers at the time Willa preferred to write most of her lyrics herself as well as executive produce the songs herself.
On July 17 2001 Willa released her debut album Willa Was Here. The album contained the single I Wanna Be Bad. The album used smooth pop/R&B grooves and hot dance beats and vocoders. The album reached 56 on the Billboard 200 album chart and became a multi-platinum smash worldwide.
In 2001 Willa served as the spokesperson for Pantene ProVs ProVoice campaign and appeared on the in-concert cable special Teensation. Also Willa hosted MTVs Total Request Live TRL and Say What Karaoke many times. MTV was impressed by Willas hosting and she received a contract with them.

In 2003 Willa came back with a hot dance song that forever immortalized a sorority chant A Toast To Men which featured guest rapper Lady May. The single was from her unreleased sophomore album Sexysexobsessive. The single did well, but because of some legalities at her label her album wasn't released. This also caused her to leave the label and go in search of a new one.
While fans wait for her sophomore release Willa has kept herself busy outside of music. In 2005 she hosted the first season of the fighting competition reality TV show The Ultimate Fighter. After the shows finale Willa got a shot at being the 2005s summers guest doll for the Las Vegas Pussycat Dolls show.

Ginger Rogers was born Virginia Katherine McMath in Independence, Missouri on July 16, 1911, the daughter of Lela E. Rogers (née Lela Emogene Owens) and William Eddins McMath. Her mother went to Independence to have Ginger away from her husband. She had a baby earlier in their marriage and he allowed the doctor to use forceps and the baby died. She was kidnapped by her father several times until her mother took him to court. Ginger's mother left her child in the care of her parents while she went in search of a job as a scriptwriter in Hollywood and later to New York City. Mrs. McMath found herself with an income good enough to where she could send for Ginger. Lelee became a Marine in 1918 and was in the publicity department and Ginger went back to her grandparents in Missouri. During this time her mother met John Rogers. After leaving the Marines they married in May, 1920 in Liberty, Missouri. He was transferred to Dallas and Ginger (who treated him as a father) went too. Ginger won a Charleston contest in 1925 (age 14) and a 4-week contract on the Interstate circuit. She also appeared in vaudeville acts which she did until she was 17 with her mother by her side to guide her. Now she had discovered true acting.
She married in March 1929, and after several months realized she had made a mistake. She acquired an agent and she did several short films. She went to New York where she appeared in the Broadway production of "Top Speed" which debuted Christmas Day, 1929. Her first film was in 1929 in A Night in a Dormitory (1930). It was a bit part, but it was a start. Later that year, Ginger appeared, briefly, in two more films, A Day of a Man of Affairs (1929) and Campus Sweethearts (1930). For awhile she did both movies and theatre. The following year she began to get better parts in films such as Office Blues (1930) and The Tip-Off (1931). But the movie that enamored her to the public was Gold Diggers of 1933 (1933). She did not have top billing, but her beauty and voice were enough to have the public want more. One song she popularized in the film was the now famous, "We're in the Money". Also in 1933, she was in 42nd Street (1933). She suggested using a monocle, and this also set her apart. In 1934, she starred with Dick Powell in Twenty Million Sweethearts (1934). It was a well-received film about the popularity of radio.
Ginger's real stardom occurred when she was teamed with Fred Astaire where they were one of the best cinematic couples ever to hit the silver screen. This is where she achieved real stardom. They were first paired in 1933's Flying Down to Rio (1933) and later in 1935's Roberta (1935) and Top Hat (1935). Ginger also appeared in some very good comedies such as Bachelor Mother (1939) and Fifth Avenue Girl (1939), both in 1939. Also that year, she appeared with Astaire in The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle (1939). The film made money but was not anywhere successful as they had hoped. After that, studio executives at RKO wanted Ginger to strike out on her own.
She made several dramatic pictures, but it was 1940's Kitty Foyle (1940) that allowed her to shine. Playing a young lady from the wrong side of the tracks, she played the lead role well, so well in fact, that she won an Academy Award for her portrayal. Ginger followed that project with the delightful comedy, Tom, Dick and Harry (1941) the following year. It's a story where she has to choose which of three men she wants to marry. Through the rest of the 1940s and early 1950s she continued to make movies but not near the caliber before World War II. After Oh, Men! Oh, Women! (1957) in 1957, Ginger didn't appear on the silver screen for seven years. By 1965, she had appeared for the last time in Harlow (1965). Afterward, she appeared on Broadway and other stage plays traveling in Europe, the U.S., and Canada. After 1984, she retired and wrote an autobiography in 1991 entitled, "Ginger, My Story".
On April 25, 1995, Ginger died of natural causes in Rancho Mirage, California. She was 83.- Actress

Samantha Fox (a stage name) was a New York City girl. Born and raised in the Big Apple, she came under the Broadway influence and studied dance throughout her childhood and teens. These young years of continuous practice resulted in a dancer's taut, slim body, which was fashionable at that time. She began dancing professionally before graduating from high school. The exposure led her into the entertainment business, and soon she was co-hosting a New York City television show. After that she began getting small parts in the adult film industry. Her break came when she was noticed by porn director/producer Chuck Vincent, who cast her in the starring role of Bad Penny (1978). This established her as a leading-role actress and resulted in her starring in several more adult films. In 1980 she won the Erotica Award for her work with Jack Wrangler in Jack+Jill (1979). The following year she was recognized with the Erotica Award again for her role in Tramp (1980). With these honors she established herself as one of the leading stars in adult films of the day, capable of a full range of roles from sweet innocence to hard domination. However, when the adult industry went from shooting on film to shooting on video, Samantha did not come off well. Women with slim, natural bodies like Samantha's lost favor with the public, which turned to the larger, silicon-enhanced actresses who became prominent in the late 1980s on into the 1990s. Her integrity preventing her from jumping on that particular bandwagon (her pronounced "Noo Yawk" accent didn't help matters, either). Consequently, roles became more and more difficult to find. However, her long-time friendship with Chuck Vincent and a few others in the industry, such as Gloria Leonard and Veronica Hart, brought her numerous small roles and walk-ons in the late 1980s, but we saw very little of her since. Her stage name has resulted in her often being confused with British pop-rock singer Samantha Fox (which is her real name). However, only the name, the suggestive lyrics of several of the singer's recordings and a sultry modeling career launch as a Page Three Girl come close to resembling what the actress Samantha Fox had done to forward the human right of self-decision, sexual expression and freedom, acceptance of alternative lifestyles, and offering of love.- Music Artist

Born in the tiny town of Palatka, this only child was raised in the Florida sunshine. It all began when her parents met at the Azalea Festival. Her mom was a contestant in the beauty pageant and her dad was a judge. Guess who won. Krystee spent most of her childhood in St. Petersburg where she cherished the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Her talents were nurtured from the start. She tried her hand at everything from dancing and singing to playing piano and the flute, from ice-skating and horse back riding, to juggling and twirling the baton. This three time state champion twirler had Olympic dreams! Unfortunately, baton twirling never made it as an Olympic event. What a shame.
Being precocious and independent, Krystee graduated from high school and moved to Los Angeles at 16. Over the years, she has made memorable appearances on some of television's most popular shows including 7th Heaven, Roseanne, and Boy Meets World. Remembered for her kick-ass role on Saved By The Bell, this lovely lady wrestler helped Bayside win the championships! It has become one of the most talked about episodes in the show's history.
Krystee played Trish Putterman, the battery operated robotic teenager in a series of Duracell Battery commercials. As a Putterman, she sported state-of-the-art latex prosthetics and a head-to-toe plastic wardrobe taking up to 4 hours a day to apply. The kitschy campaign was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and became a phenomenon in the 90s including T-shirts, phone cards, even Halloween costumes.
Krystee seems to have endless amounts of creativity except when it comes to naming pets. Her Papillon dog is named "Papillon". She hates talking on the phone but is a voracious reader. She spends her afternoons at museums and people watching and swears they feed the same need. She is definitely a night person, but is often spotted watching the sunrise after a night of dancing.
She is a self-proclaimed "Pop Culture Junkie". She sees at least two movies a week at a theater, is proud to be a Disneyland annual pass holder, and could never have an ipod big enough to hold her ever-growing library of music. She is addicted to Rockstars (the energy drinks and the men). She has seen hundreds of concerts and makes an annual pilgrimage to the Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
Krystee spends her spare time as a "Seeing Eye Dog" for her aunt who lost her eyesight to diabetes. She volunteers at an elementary school and actively recycles. Add her warm and charismatic personality and you would think she was "practicing for sainthood".
Krystee is currently working on a sketch comedy show called Static. It seems like the perfect gig to show off her versatility and innate comedic talent. After all, she does love laughing at herself!- Actress

Melissa Brasselle was born on January 27, in Bronx NY. Coming from a talented and well known family of actors, singers, writers and producers it was inevitable that she would follow in their footsteps. Her mother Arlene DeMarco, was the lead singer of the famous singing group, "The Five DeMarco Sisters", as well as being the bestselling author of "Triangle" and "Make Believe Children." (NAL) Her father was actor Keefe Brasselle who starred in a number of films including Academy award winning film "A Place in the Sun." He was best known for his starring role in the "The Eddie Cantor Story." Melissa's parents both met each other on the set of MGM's "Skirts Ahoy" starring Ester Williams. He too was a bestselling author first writing the controversial "The Cannibals" followed by "The Barracudas."
As a child Melissa was gifted vocally. She had perfect pitch, could harmonize to any song and played a variety of instruments without ever being taught, just like her mother and aunts had. Melissa was hand picked to be in the NY All City Chorus and even played Carnegie Hall.
She began modeling in her late teens. It was a struggle at that time because no one really hired ethnic looking models, especially busty ones. Melissa hung in there and got full page in a magazine as the spokesperson for 3M, which caught the eye of a local photographer. In1989 Playboy launched a nation wide search of over 50,000 girls for their 35th anniversary addition. A submitted photo of her taken on a Polaroid, placed her in the top five and landed her in the pages of playboy for their 35 anniversary addition. Melissa continued modeling but she hadn't found her true passion. While working at a restaurant in Trump Towers she saw a flyer that would change her life. It was for a twelve week course at the the Lee Strasberg Theatrical Institute, well known for method acting. Some of the best actors of all time had been taught there.. She studied there for three years. She made the move to LA and studied at continued taking on camera classes at Weist Barron and T.V.I. Studios. Melissa became a SAG/AFTRA Member by doing extra work. She also got a lot of her first small roles from the T.V.I classes that are taught by casting directors. Christy Dooley hired her for the Bold and the Beautiful straight out of class as did the casting director for The Young and the Restless.
Going to an open audition with a friend for the live Batman stunt show landed her the role of Poison Ivy. She took off in the stunt industry getting job after job. Including a spot on a team of four for Tru TV's "Impossible Heists." As soon as the show wrapped she was off to train in a wrestling camp for her role as The Italian Mafia Princess.
To have worked as an actress, writer, producer, wrestler, stunt woman, singer/songwriter...well let's just say she is one unstoppable woman! Melissa is known for her work in action films like "Demolition High" (1995) "The Curse of the Komodo"(2006) and "Camel Spiders" (2011), of which her daughter Hayley DeMarco was in as well. When Melissa wasn't acting in films she was writing them or doing stunts in major motion pictures, or writing songs and scores.
As successful as it sounds, Melissa gained the greatest notoriety however, on a reality TV show for VH1 titled, "I Know My Kids a Star," with her daughter Hayley DeMarco where she coined the phrase "So Bam" earned the nickname Rocky, and became an reality sensation. Melissa is returning to reality with a show of her own featuring her now grown up daughter Hayley. Unfortunately Rocky lost her mom on Feb 13, 2013. To pay homage to her mom she is recording a jazz album in her honor of the DeMarco Sister's hits, and her moms favorite songs to carry on her legacy in her debut album "DeMarco Legacy" The album will be released 12/2017. The beautiful voice she's carried all along will finally be heard. Melissa's daughter Hayley DeMarco just finished recording her first single titled "Separate Ways" and will be releasing her premiere video directed by the king of lighting and Kardashian alumni Nick Saglembeni in Sept/2017.
