She is an activity director and had showed me the very professional theater the facility has for the residents. I was intrigued at the idea of being able to use the theater myself, and soon suggested that I show classic films to the folks.
I had recently re-engaged my self with Amazon, and one of my scores was the new Blu ray boxed set released for the 70th anniversary of Citizen Kane. This would be the perfect venue to watch it; back on the big screen!
Other than a handful of films and the Universal Monster movies, I never had considered myself a Classic-Movie guy. But since I've started showing the films to the audience that saw them when they were released in the 30s/40s/50s, learning about them and collecting them has become my main obsession!
