"Bringing Up Baby (1938) is one of versatile director Howard Hawks' greatest screwball comedies and often considered the definitive screwball film. It is also one of the funniest, wackiest and most inspired films of all time with its characteristic breathless pace, zany antics and pratfalls, absurd situations and misunderstandings, perfect sense of comic timing, completely screwball cast, series of lunatic and hare-brained misadventures, disasters, light-hearted surprises and romantic comedy. The non-stop, harum-scarum farce skewered many institutions, including psychiatry, the sterile field of science, the police, and high-society upper classes." - Tim Dirks (Filmisite's 100 Greatest Films)
9/10 - DirectorHoward HawksStarsCary GrantRosalind RussellRalph BellamyA newspaper editor uses every trick in the book to keep his ace reporter ex-wife from remarrying.War of the words
Usually I have issues with IMDb short summaries, but this time they nailed it. "A newspaper editor uses every trick in the book to keep his ace reporter ex-wife from remarrying." "His Girl Friday" is a screwball comedy, and one of the most hilarious I have ever seen. The screenplay is excellent and Howard Hawks has done a great job directing it. Cary Grant and beautiful Rosalind Russell have sparkling chemistry and the way they perform jokes is so natural and believable. But to fully enjoy this movie you have to be fluent in English. Watching it with subtitles simply won't do it, because the essence of this film's greatness is in its frantic pace. Plot twists are good, but the breathtakingly fast overlapping dialogue, simultaneous conversations and rapid-fire delivery of word gags, sarcastic insults, sexual innuendos and in-jokes are what ensured this movie's high place in the film history.

The snake in this movie isn't a snake at all. It's just a legless lizard. Otherwise, I have no objections. Preston Sturges assembled a great cast and turned this well-written story into a true masterpiece of romantic comedy. Intelligent, witty and heartwarming.

Warning: Spoilers
When I sat to watch this movie I did not have any information about it and I expected nothing at all. But I received a lot. This might not be a movie of excellent quality, but it surely is the most comic- bookish movie I have ever seen. It's not so much a movie as it is comic-book brought to life on a big screen. Comic fans who take comics too seriously probably hate this adaptation, but for the rest of us, who simply love fun comics provide, this is probably the best Batman movie ever. It is modernized and parodied version of old Batman series from the '40s. The dark component is kicked out and what is left is a hilarious and entertaining action full of wacky lines.
Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Cat-woman join together to blackmail the whole world. Clash of their super-villain egos, while they are trying to cooperate, is hilarious. Their looks, speech, and behavior are totally comic-bookish, and Lee Meriwether is incredibly sexy in Cat-woman costume. All four, together with Batman and Robin and whole storyline, exaggerate to the point of going too far, but manage to balance at the very edge of good taste and successfully avoid to tumble into the abyss of complete nonsense. Add to that sharks filled with dynamite, countless gadgets, all labeled with big banners "bat-this" and "bat-that", banalized chases, and bombs that take forever to explode, and you'll get the unforgettable comic-book comedy that leaves no one indifferent. This is one of those movies you can either love or hate. There's nothing in between. Oh, yes, I must not forget "ouch", "splash", "boom" and similar strip clouds that pop up in all sizes and colors all around the screen during action scenes.
I haven't seen all Batman movies just yet, but I did see at least one from every series, so I can say with some certainty that this one is my favorite Batman.

During WWII, Rene Artois and his wife Edith run a café where members of the Gestapo and French Resistance pass by each other daily, which, combined with Rene's adultery, provides an inexhaustible source of entertainment. Excellent script, character diversity, brilliant comedians, extremely witty dialogues and catchy replicas that will be remembered forever, make "Allo Allo!" one of the best sitcoms of all time. Many of us have watched a bunch of random episodes when it was run on TV, but watching this show in its entirety in a period as short as possible is a phenomenal experience that I gladly return to every few years.

This show was canceled after just six episodes and, I must say, it's justified. Although "Naked Gun" franchise that I love is based on this show, this was pretty much boring to me. If I saw it as a kid back in 80's I would probably be thrilled, but I do not see how anyone passed elementary school could like this. I cannot say it's crap, but it is overrated and I think the main reason for its cult status is the very fact it was canceled so soon. People have strange habit to oppose and many shows grew instant popularity as soon as they were canceled. In some cases, like with Firefly, it's justified, but in this case, the only credit this show deserves is for spawning "Naked Gun" franchise.

However, he's not allowed to own any assets, destroy the money, gift it, give it to charity, or tell anyone about the deal.I would like to try
Movie that invokes nostalgia for childhood and one of my favorite '80s comedies. To claim 300 million dollars inheritance, a poor baseball player must spend 30 million in one month, but to win this bet he must not have any possession left but the clothes he wore to start with. Another condition is that he must not tell anyone about the bet. It is harder to spend 30 million than it seems. He cannot buy anything of value that will be considered possession, so he rents things instead of buying them and searching for many other clever ways to win this bet. But it is even harder when everyone around him, not knowing about the bet, thinks he's gone mad and trying to prevent him from bankruptcy. Extremely funny.

- No.
- Could it be she had PMS?
A comedy made as a sequel to a famous horror "The Exorcist". In the original movie, in 1973 devil takes possession of a girl named Reagan, while in "Repossessed" he takes the same person 17 years later, but here she is named Nancy. Linda Blair plays both roles, Nancy and Reagan... Nancy Reagan :D For her role in "The Exorcist" she got Golden Globe and Oscar nomination, while in her later performances she was nominated for the worst actress six times. The movie is full of typical Leslie Nielsen humor, references and parodies to everything and anything. To me, it was very entertaining and definitely worth watching, maybe even more than the original.

This is maybe the best part of "Naked Gun" trilogy. Hilarious parody on many popular movies and crime genre itself. Leslie Nielsen, as awesome as usual, and beautiful angel Priscilla Presley, who was 50 years old at the time which is extremely hard to believe. Even harder to believe is her bad taste in men. I mean, first Elvis and now Frank Drebin.

This unusual comedy was Kevin Smith's firstborn, low-budget black and white movie that launched him as one of the wittiest screen-writers/directors of today, and the first appearance of Jay and Silent Bob, awkwardly hilarious duo that became a legend. "Required reading" for all lovers of independent film.

This silly sports adventure is very entertaining and at times hilarious, and the above-mentioned rivals are played by Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray, backed by Randy Quaid in the role of the bowling Amish and Vanessa Angel in the main female role. It's far from the masterpiece of the genre, but you'll surely have a good time.

Sad attempt to get more money on old glory...
This is a disgrace in almost every way. I have nothing against movies that are meant to be in more than one part, not even those meant to be single movies but then inspired sequels, but when they knock something together just to try and get a few dollars more of the old glory... yuck.
The new cast is not bad itself, some of them are maybe even better than the original cast, but they miss the charm that we fell to in the first movie. It simply isn't it. Music is copied from the first movie. The story is unoriginal and dumb. Humor is rerun or exaggerated or simply pointless. CGI is a story for itself. In the original movie, you could not tell that the elephant is not the real one, while here all animals look like they skipped from a cartoon. Not only unconvincing, but also very irritating. The screenplay was obviously forced without ideas or inspiration and then put into the movie that I barely forced myself to watch till the end. In one word - sad.

- DirectorTrey ParkerStarsTrey ParkerMatt StoneMary Kay BergmanWhen Stan Marsh and his friends go see an R-rated movie, they start cursing and their parents think that Canada is to blame."You may laugh yourself sick - as sick as this ruthlessly funny movie is"
"I was not a fan of South Park before I saw BL&U, nor was I a fan of movie musicals. Well, I'm still not a fan of musicals, but I'm a fan of *this* musical, and I am grateful to Parker and Stone for demonstrating that it's still possible to make a great movie on one's own terms.
For this movie, unlike the usual feature-length adaptation of a pop culture phenomenon, not only lives up to its pedigree, it wildly exceeds it. Yes, the movie does recycle many of the show's jokes, but it does so in new yet relevant contexts that keep the material funny if you are familiar with the South Park world. If you aren't familiar with that world (as I wasn't before seeing the movie), the gags are simultaneously accessible yet often subtle.
Subtle? Yes, many of the gags are. Indeed, one of the pleasures of owning a copy of the movie is having the ability to review the movie, in slo-mo if necessary, and discover throwaway sight gags that one has missed in the delirium of watching this anarchic satire the first time through. (And if you have the DVD, you can add subtitles to catch many of the songs' often elusive lyrics.)
Then there's the music. What is it about movie musicals that attracts great satiric minds? Not since Pynchon's "Gravity's Rainbow" has a work of art so subversively exploited the conventions of the movie musical as South Park. From the droll opening strains of Mountain Town, to the Disneyesque "Up There," to the Les Miserables spoof, "La Resistance," South Park simultaneously sends up the genre while paying homage to it, and still finds room to use the songs to score delicious points against its myriad targets.
One last thing: this movie is not cynical. Beneath the scatological humor, the cartoon violence, the scathing portrayals of Wynona Ryder et al, and the backdrop of adult xenophobia, sexual repression, and political opportunism, is a sensibility that exalts childhood as an island of honesty and idealism, if also of id-like impulse and frequent selfishness. In this, they share space on the shelf of great satires with "Candide," "Gulliver's Travels," "Tom Sawyer" and especially "Huckleberry Finn"--classics that, like BL&U, also exposed the hypocrisies of the adult world "through the eyes of a child."
Elvis Costello once sang, "I want to bite the hand that feeds me/I want to bite that hand so badly/I want to make them wish they'd never met me." That BLU was shut out at the Academy Awards (having only garnered a nomination for the relatively tame "Blame Canada", which lost, appropriately enough, to the execrable Phil Collins) only vindicates the film's take-no-prisoners send-up of nearly everything that annoys in this suffocatingly focus-group-tested, PC-policed, cynically sentimental, violence-ridden, love-starved modern world. See this movie, and see the persistence of hope and possibility sparkling like a diamond amid the pop culture detritus of a quiet little red-necked, white-trash, strait-laced, meshugeneh, US mountain town." - Tresy

Martin Lawrence plays an FBI agent, a master of disguise. In order to ambush the runaway convict, he disguises himself as a local old lady and moves into her house across the street from the convict's ex-girlfriend and, of course, falls in love with her. The film does not have any special qualities, but it is quite a decent pastime, if you want to relax and laugh a bit.

When I first saw this movie a few years ago, I was under the impression for days. Halfway through, it became one of my favorites and I rated it nine. This time the impression was somewhat weaker. Maybe due to the lack of a surprise factor, but I think that's exactly what allowed me to perceive it more objectively. The film follows the life of a couple, crazy in love with each other, ever since they met in early childhood. But instead of being together, they spend their lives as best friends who have devoted their entire lives to a completely wicked and at times sick challenging game. The story is original and full of surprises, but on the second watching, when there are no surprises and shocks, it loses quite a lot. I don't know the lead actor from before, and he didn't make much of an impression on me, though he was far from being bad, but Marion Cotillard nailed her role as usual. The directing and editing are extremely interesting and totally in the French style, and it would be obvious that the film is French even if it was made in English. I didn't like the ending, but it may be that the whole story makes sense only with such an ending. I'm not even sure I understood it well. I'm left with very mixed feelings, but the movie is definitely worth the attention. I think it's best not to try too hard to look at it objectively and analyze it, but just let its madness carry you. Warm recommendation.

As soon as I saw Anna Faris, I was clear what kind of movie this is, but Uma Thurman in the leading role gave me the false hope that maybe I just have prejudice. Well, some prejudices are there for a reason. We all know Anna from the "Scary Movie" franchise. Fans of it will probably enjoy this movie, the rest of you should skip it. The movie is slightly retarded and being a comedy is not a good excuse. For a good comedy, you need a story either completely retarded or not retarded at all. Slightly retarded simply is not funny. About a decade ago, I received this book as a gift and I don't even know why I read it to the end ... Last night I found out that a movie was made and added another to a very short list of films that are better than the source material.
From the author of the cult "Fight Club" comes the story of a sex addict who plays choking in restaurants so that the people who save him feel responsible for taking care of him in the future and thus raise money to pay hospital bills for his mother with Alzheimer's. But do not expect a story in the style of "Fight Club", but something more like Bukowski, a story that explicitly, vulgarly and uncompromisingly delves into topics that society tends to push under the carpet. The cheap production of this low-budget black-humor drama is fully compensated by excellent characterization, courage in approaching sensitive topics, genuine emotion masked by shock and humor that is actually funny, and plenty of sex. Original, wacky and a lot of fun.

Like in "Hogfather", Death is pretty much lousy done, which is a shame because Death is the most awesome character in Discworld series. But besides that, it is absolutely fantastic. IMDb says comedy/fantasy/romance... it has elements of all three, that's a fact, but it is not what determines this movie. I would say entertaining and occasionally funny satire of humanity, that hits some painful spots and makes you think about the world we live in. It is not a real comedy and definitely isn't a real love movie. You cannot say it is a romance movie only because there are some people who fall in love in it. Still, like many times before, I think this is one fantastic idea wasted on a mediocre movie. It could've been done much much better and I hope someone will try to make an improved remake, cause it would be a shame if this idea remains in this movie only. As much as I am amazed by the essence of the story, because of lousy realization I'll rate it

Warning: Minor spoilers
Movies and TV series in which people have supernatural powers are usually super-heroic. People with powers either dedicate their lives to fighting evil or they become super-villains themselves. Those characters are mostly two-dimensional and stories are usually a black and white fight between good and evil. OK, there are shades of gray like in Batman for example, but it's still fairy-tale like and unrealistic. Until the British decided to try out on territory where Marvel and DC have almost monopoly. Then we get "Misfits", a show with production that cannot compare to Hollywood, but with the story that will win you over in no time.
Group of young delinquents, convicted to community service, get hit by a weird storm that gives them supernatural powers. But they become neither superheroes nor super-villains. They remain mostly who they were, realistic convincing characters from everyday life, who sometimes use and sometimes abuse their new powers to overcome obstacles everyday life throws at them. They do not think big, they just live their own lives. Besides powers we are used to seeing on screen, like flying, telekinesis or mind-reading, this show offers a bunch of new original and often extremely weird powers, like the ability to control milk or hypnotizing tits. This is a teenage action drama, full of English dark humor, at the same time original story and parody on the superhero genre.
"Misfits" has 5 seasons, a total of 38 episodes. The first season is probably the best one, because of its original simplicity. Later in the show actors and characters are changing pretty fast and the plot is more and more complicated, sometimes maybe too much, but it is definitely worth watching till the end. You will probably get to the edge of giving up after the first episode in the third season but don't. Get through the first few episodes of the third season and the show will get under your skin once again.
Acting and music are good, special effects are often ridiculous, partially because of the low budget, but I believe it was in good part on purpose, and although this is not objectively high-quality show, because of unexpected originality and unbelievable fun, I am struggling not to give it straight ten.

The series takes us into the world of American college football. The main characters are guys whose life is spinning around sports, sex (or at least aspirations towards it) and endless partying. I can not compare this series with anything, because I do not remember seeing anything similar, and definitely nothing so much fun. I am not competent to comment on the script, directing, acting, or any other aspect of this series, because I was largely overwhelmed by laughter, and totally did not care for its technical aspects or objective quality. It's so addictive that I watched a season daily.

This is one of the most entertaining movies I ever watched, and I saw over a thousand in the last few years. Action is not set in some superhero universe, it's in our world where heroes are just comic-book characters. A kid who is completely into superhero stuff decides to become one, although he has no powers and, even worse, he is a clumsy nerd. And then he realizes that he is not the only one who came to that idea.
The movie is extremely funny, has Nicolas Cage in one of leading roles, 12 years old Chloë Grace Moretz nailed one of her first serious roles, and music is awesome with The Prodigy, The Pretty Reckless, Sparks, and many other great bands.

This is a film for children. It's considered a family movie, but if you graduated from school you better skip it. The story of a 12-year-old who wants to be popular at a new school at all costs, but tries in the wrong and ugly ways, and after much peripeteia finally learns his lesson. The classic story of friendship, selfishness and sacrifice, bullying, complexes, and responsibilities ... there's nothing new that could interest anyone older than the movie's protagonists. It's not bad in any aspect, but it doesn't really stand out in any way either.

Terry Pratchett is one of my favorite writers. I have every single book published in my country, 41 to be precise, and that's not even half of his bibliography. He is best known for his Discworld series, dozens of novels placed on a flat world, carried through space on the shoulders of four elephants, standing on the back of Atuin, gigantic turtle. Sounds familiar? In these novels, Terry parodies the whole history of humanity in all its aspects. I can not choose the favorite one, because every single one is awesome. Some of his work is adapted to movies, TV series and cartoons and I think I saw them all. On par with "The Colour of Magic", this is by far the best adaptation. I won't go into the story itself because I will assume everyone has read the book. And if you still didn't, do yourself a favor and put it on your priority list. Like Terry's books, this movie is extremely entertaining, hilarious and joyful. It may not be a masterpiece of cinematography, but it surely is the masterpiece of clever and meaningful comedy.

The film is based on the series of the same name from the 1960s, replacing the more serious and darker tone of the original with typically Barton's humor and fairy-tale atmosphere. Vampires, werewolves, witches, and ghosts are never outdated, especially not when played by Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, and Chloë Grace Moretz, with cameo appearances by Christopher Lee and Alice Cooper.

The film literally has just 90 minutes long introduction and end credits. I watched it because I love J.G.L. but this movie is a real crap. I saw a comment somewhere, something like... J.G.L. yearns for a macho part his whole life and, as no one offered him such, he decided to make his own movie where he can be hotshot. So he did. And he did it badly. And how did he succeed to persuade phenomenal Julianne Moore to take part in this crap remains secret...

OK, the movie is unbelievable retarded, but what else did you expect?! Darn, this is "Scary Movie" franchise = bunch of retarded parodies of blockbusters that were kicking through the roof since last "Scary Movie". Like all of its prequels, this one has a shallow and vulgar sense of humor that will sometimes cause you to cry from laughter and sometimes it will kick you in the face with the cruel transfer of embarrassment. It cannot compare to Wayans movies, but it is definitely better than the previous one, "Scary Movie 4". The sequel further elaborates on the story from the first film. Kick-Ass has inspired many citizens, so there are many new "superheroes", but also "super villains" that our heroes need to stop. As it continues to the first movie in the same manner, "Kick-Ass 2" loses a lot due to its lack of originality and surprise factor. The story dilutes with cliché teenage drama and romance, at times even pathetic, and the part of the story that sticks to the tried-and-tested recipe from the original movie tries to make up for the lack of new ideas by introducing too many new characters and a story that is so over-the-top that it loses every touch with reality. The soundtrack is also weaker. On the other hand, with more diversity and faster tempo, as well as many cheap but effective gags and jokes, the movie gets fun, and it may even have been more fun for me than the first. All in all, a superbly entertaining pastime that doesn't contain anything remarkable enough to stay in your memory after the closing credits. But still extremely fun, plus Chloë Grace Moretz...

It starts as a crime/comedy, but soon it turns into a horror-comedy. Villains in this movie are witches, so the director decided to start with opening credits made of pictures of famous "witches", putting together notorious killers and evil women from modern politics. Very brave and politically incorrect, he bought me already. The movie is fast, the story is original, humor is indeed funny, the effects are good, very much fun until the end. The big ending is a bit of failure, but the movie is overall good enough not to be spoiled by it.

This is a "documentary" about the vampire community in Wellington. Three vampires live together in a modern world and struggle with everyday life issues. Although I didn't particularly like it, it has its moments and occasionally could be quite funny. A satirical comedy about the assassination of North Korea's dictator led to threatened retaliation against the US by North Korea's foreign government, for alleged state-sponsored terrorism against its country's leader. The computer systems of Sony Pictures were hacked and threatened attacks against theaters showing the film caused a wide-release cancellation. Hacking caused the leak of personal employee data and some embarrassing emails by company executives as well as releasing digital copies of yet unreleased films. It forced the company to take its computer network offline and cancel The Interview's release in major US national theater chains in the wake of threats from North Korea and its supporters. Despite the controversy, Sony made the film available on the Internet and it became their most successful online digital movie release. They lost about $100 million on this incident.

God exists. He lives in Brussels with his wife and daughter. God is a self-centered sadistic bully who, out of sheer boredom, created people to torture them. Most of his time he spends creating (Murphy's) laws by which the world will function, with the sole purpose to annoy, frustrate and harass humanity as much as possible, and the rest of the time he causes wars, accidents, and natural disasters. When his son tried to stop this terror and change the world for the better he ended up crucified. And now his ten-year-old daughter has had enough and she takes matters into her own hands. She runs away, appoints six apostles and writes "The Brand New Testament."
Ea: How do you choose apostles?
Jesus: Pretend like you know, no one will question you.
This surreal and absurdist black-humorous drama deals with eternal questions of the meaning of life, death, and love. Some accuse it of trying to impress by the quasi-philosophical depth, but I disagree with that. I would not say that this film fakes anything in any way. I have the impression that Jaco Van Dormael has come up with a good idea and simply let it grow and take its course, without restrictions and censorship.
The cast is excellent, and particularly prominent are Benoit Poelvoorde, in the role of crazed God, and young and cute Pili Groyne, who carries almost the entire movie, uniting the child's innocence and naivety with the wisdom and determination of the new messiah. Directing, cinematography and music are simply magical, and although the film has some technical shortcomings, it didn't bother me at all. I would say that some scenes pay homage to other films. I think I recognized "The Eighth Day", which also was written and directed by Jaco Van Dormael, then Kubrick's "The Shining" and Darabont's "The Shawshank Redemption", as well as several others for which I am not so sure.
This is the official Belgian submission for the 2016 Academy Awards. Competition must have been really strong when it did not pass. If this and my recommendation are not enough for you to watch it, the fact that it was created by the same man who was responsible for "The Eighth Day" and "Mr. Nobody" should prevail.

This movie offends not only Kazakhstan and Americans, this movie offends our intelligence. I admit, in preadolescence childhood I might find it quite entertaining, but as adult... If they were going for "it's so bad that it's good" type of movie than I could forgive their failure cause that kind of movie is really hard to do right, but if they were just going for good comedy than I really have no idea what to say...

It is not hilarious in today's ways, but it is smart and humorous in elegant way that ceased to exist long time ago. This is one of nine movies First Lady of Cinema and Spencer Tracy made together and their real life romance sparks on big screen too. Warm recommendation. <3

I expected "3 Men and the Baby" story put in "Blue Mountain State" environment, but this movie skilfully avoided cliches typical for college comedies and also those typical for babies. Still, besides originality, this movie has no other qualities and it's just one more average, entertaining but not especially funny, comedy.

This film very faithfully follows screenplay for "Zero Hour!" and than upgrades it with parodies of many other, mostly "disaster", movies. Personally, my favorite is opening scene that spoofs "Jaw", but almost every scene is parody of something and that train of spoofs is so fast that there's no chance you could catch them all, even if you are familiar with all movies it parodies. To bring it closer to new millennium generations, this is "Scary Movie"of '80s.

But here's one completely opposite. This movie I could praise for hours without danger of being left with no material. I saw it many times and I'll see it many times more. And every time I get excited like the first, cause this movie is simply perfect. Everything from opening credits and font to ending credits is just right. Kevin smith is, in my opinion, one of the most original and creative writers and directors of our time. Story is perfect, at the same time exciting and relaxing, intelligent and silly, full of positive energy, satire and humour, with genius dialogues. Movie gathers many top actors, musicians and stand-up comedians, and all of them, in spite of relatively low budget, decided to participate in this project with all their hearts and gave amazing performances. List of actors itself is reason enough to see this film. Movie that holds strong messages and depth behind screen of silly comedy.

Movie caused controversy and disapproval cause it appears to make fun of faith, but it's just at first glance. Smith himself is a believer and his intention was not to make mockery of faith, but to use funny approach to bring it closer to younger generations that are repelled by rigidity of Church, and at the same time to hit negative aspects of Catholic dogma with some good satire. That's why it is important to see this movie without prejudice, so you don't end up caught in trap of misunderstanding and hating or loving it for wrong reasons.

To understand this movie completely it is recommended that you saw really big amount of movies, including all previous Kevin Smith flicks. I saw this one countless times and every time I discover some new jokes, because in the meantime I saw more movies it refers to. Sarcastic, full of vulgar and dark humor, but intelligent, cheerful, hilarious and romantic. You'll see army of celebrities, music is great, and even opening and end credits are worth watching carefully, cause there's bunch of jokes hidden in even smallest details. Low average rating means only that most of viewers did not pay enough attention or they don't have enough pre- knowledge to be able to understand it fully. It looks like just another silly comedy, but it's complex and has its depth and meaning.

For some reason, I stopped following this show a long time ago, even before the tenth season I think. Recently, again for some inexplicable reason, it came to my mind and I decided to start it all over, from season one, but this time I'm going to finish it, or better to say catch it, because I hope it will never end. This morning I finished the first season. There's nothing better than healthy laughter with morning coffee. After 20 years this season is still fresh and hilarious. One of the strongest tens I ever gave.

In the last year I have seen all 22 seasons of "South Park" and, although it had its ups and downs, overall it's one of the best TV shows of all time and definitely the ultimate animated one. Brains off, laughter on, push play and enjoy. Many brag about it being unrealistic. Damn, people, this is Disney comedy for kids. It is not supposed to be realistic, it is supposed to be fun and it's very successful in it. For almost two hours I was elementary school boy once again, just relaxing after school and watching good old-fashioned TV. I have no objections to this movie, except maybe car chase scene being too long. I recommend it to everyone with all my heart.

Too shallow for a drama and fails as a comedy too cause I did not laugh once. But nostalgia and cuteness... <3

Sometimes it happens that sequel is on a level with original, but to be better is really rare. This is one of those exceptions. Although it is far from being masterpiece, it is far better than 3 Men and a Baby. Humor is this time actually funny and emotional scenes good enough to cause tear or two. Nancy Travis has very little screen time in first movie, but here she got a chance to show off. Instead of baby from first movie who was just cute, now we have Robin Weisman who's cute too, but also great in playing well written role. Story is more complex, intelligent and strong, and movie is overall much faster and more entertaining. This one is going to my collection.

Shows that make you cry while your jaw hurts from laughing like crazy are extremely rare. And for me, this is such a show. I heard many things about this movie and everything was true, but even if I did know what to expect I was swept off my feet. Adventure that, in very vulgar and explicit way, makes fun of racial, political, sexist, homophobic and every other stereotype you could possible think of, alluding or directly spoofing celebrities, famous events, movies, music. I think it is impossible to catch all layers and details of this movie in just one watching. Technically it's nothing special, but story is good enough to make everything else negligible. Even the worst scenes are fun, and those best and most shocking I had to rewind and re-watch several times, not being able to believe my own eyes and ears. I couldn't say it's one of the best animated movies of all time, but it definitely is the most original and bravest I've seen so far and I'm absolutely amazed.

Essentially, this is classic romance comedy, but wrapped in completely unusual package. Politically incorrect, vulgar, perverse, and most of all fun. I'm sorry I didn't see it back when it was released, cause I would know it by heart by now. Roommates and best friends since childhood, Zack and Miri, have seemingly hopeless financial troubles, so they decide to get back on their feet by making a porno. If I still didn't persuade you to see this flick, I will just say that lead roles in their porno, beside of course themselves, play Jason Mewes, Katie Morgan and Traci Lords. Now, if you have no idea who are at least some of the legends I mentioned above, then you shouldn't watch this movie and feel free to continue living under your puritan rock. :P

Basic premise is pretty original, story is in style of popular sitcoms, but but goes beyond their frames and brings something new and refreshing. Humor is based mostly on shame transfers which our hero very generously throws at us. Two main characters are original and endlessly fun. Episodes are just 20 minutes long so show keeps decent pace and doesn't lose strength. It's not one of those shows that will make you hurt from laughter, but you will quickly get tied up with the main character and from that moment you will be constantly unpleasant for his shameless behavior., but still you won't be able to stop watching or resist to play next episode same moment end credits of previous one start. Huge recommendation.

I am not saying it sucks, far from it, but it isn't nowhere close to be good enough to spend over 200 hours on watching its 636 episodes. Audience considers this movie either the best or the worst British movie of the year. British have an unusual and for the rest of us often incomprehensible sense of humor. If you're used to Hollywood this probably won't entertain you. I suppose that most of the lowest ratings came from USA. At the other hand, I think this movie is overrated and that most of the tens, that pulled it to an average of eight, came largely from Britain. From my point of view, this is solid movie for one watching. I wouldn't call it a comedy. It is horror adventure sprinkled with lots of humor, British humor that tries not to be too British, but to adapt to the wider audience. And in that attempt lies it's biggest issue. Also, it is very difficult to mix genres, especially if there's too many. Although this movie somewhat succeeds in that attempt it didn't quite shine. Still, we have to acknowledge this brave attempt to make something unusual. All together, if you're not a fan of recent British film don't even give it a try, but if you are able to slip into British state of mind I think you'll enjoy this flick. I surely did.

"In many ways, Shrek 2 is to fairy tales, what Kill Bill:Vol.2 is to the Kung Fu genre. Although these are very different movies, both spoof all previous movies of their type and are loaded with insider allusions (just look at the length of the IMDb trivia sections for each!). Both use latest technology to create a hyper-real quality which goes beyond their forerunners to create a feel that the viewer is seeing something that has not been seen before. But each also stays true to their genres' formula conventions of character and plot that, though seemingly worn out, we still love. And in cities like Belgrade - women and nightlife can be deadlier than a bullet. As much as Yugoslavia had reputation for good movies, especially in the 1980s, ex-Yu republics are doing their best to destroy this reputation without mercy. This was meant to be a black-comedy about the Montenegrins, their tradition of vendetta and their "occupation" of Belgrade. Also, the same story could have been done as an action drama. Unfortunately, it's neither. The story dramatization and characterization are tragic. Characters are completely two-dimensional, and the story acts as a dismal joke about Montenegrins stretched for an hour and a half. Jokes based on prejudices about Montenegrins are too exaggerated for a serious film, and yet insufficiently humorous for a comedy. True, I laughed here and there, but that does not change the fact that this is a very stupid movie.
