Immediately after high school, Michelle Goetsch moved to California and began studying Situation Comedy under the tutelage of Bill Hudnut, at Paramount Studios. She worked as an assistant broker at Merrill Lynch, while studying, writing, and acting in independent films. Three years later, in 1992, upon the death of her mentor, Michelle became a senior stock broker, a member of the Screen Actor's Guild, and wrote her first screen play. However, in 1996, she took a hiatus from both businesses, when her first child was diagnosed with Autism. Goetsch went back to school in 2001 to study child psychology, but ended up back in the Drama department at California Lutheran University, and directing children's theater. When her second child became an actress in 2004, the film bug was reawakened while accompanying her daughter to set. Michelle used her knowledge of both finance and entertainment to start her own production company; writing, producing, and directing short films. Two films made the rounds on the festival circuit, playing Academy qualifying fests and earning finalist status. Her latest film, "Wreck the Halls," starring Mickey Rooney, obtained a distribution agreement with Ouat Media in 2010. Now, 20 years after she began studying Situation Comedy, Goetsch has come full circle, writing her first original Sit-Com pilot "School Spirit" about teen-aged guardian angels.Hung: Season 1, Episode 1
