IMDbPro caught up with Parvesh Cheena to hear lessons learned from his mentors, what Outsourced means to him 10 years later, and why being "chatty" has gotten him in trouble at auditions.3 of 6
IMDbPro: Do you have any mentors? How did you meet them and what have they taught you?
Parvesh Cheena: Alexandra Billings is a friend from Chicago whom I connected with even more in both of our careers in Los Angeles. She has been a teacher of mine from the days when I was her student at Steppenwolf Theatre's West Coast studio. Her work and experience in the art form Viewpoints changed my life. Her work finds the truth in every character. As artists, it is our job to respect that truth in every character we inhabit. And as a trailblazing trans activist and queer icon, Alex has inspired me to live as authentically as she has.
