- DirectorFaiza Ahmad KhanStarsShakeel BharatiFarogh JafriAkram KhanMalegaon, a small town tucked away near the heart of India geographically, is fraught with communal tension and under severe economic depression. To escape the harsh reality of their world, its people seek refuge in the fantastical world of cinema. This passion for cinema has spurred a group of cinema enthusiasts to make their own films-quirky, low budget, socially aware and notoriously funny spoofs of Bollywood films. Their ambition has grown and now they are ready to take on Hollywood and Superman. We follow them on this journey. At times funny, tragic, contemplative. Always warm and engaging. And as the film begins to take shape, through schemes and approaches that are sublimely ingenious, simply bizarre and purely hysterical, we also slowly discover Malegaon itself. A microcosm that embodies and reflects the complexities of modern small town India. Where the modern and the traditional rub shoulders, where extreme poverty and extreme wealth are neighbours, bewildering in its diversity, trapped in self-made destinies, with a spirit that can never be vanquished. The film is a tribute to that spirit, the spirit that enables The Supermen of Malegaon to make Malegaon's Superman.

- DirectorChuck SmithStarsBob DylanRichard ForemanAllen GinsbergBarbara Rubin's twenty-nine-minute experimental film 'Christmas on Earth' caused a sensation when it first screened in New York City in 1963. Its orgy scenes, double projections and overlapping images shattered artistic conventions and announced a powerful new voice in the city's underground film scene. All the more remarkable that the vision belonged to an 18-year-old girl. A virtual Zelig of the '60s, Barbara Rubin introduced Andy Warhol to the Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan to Kabbalah and bewitched Allen Ginsberg. The same unbridled creativity that inspired her to make films when women simply didn't, saw her breach yet another male domain, Orthodox Judaism, before her mysterious death at thirty-five years old. Life-long friend Jonas Mekas saved all her letters, creating a rich archive that film-maker Chuck Smith carefully sculpts into this fascinating portrait of a nearly forgotten artist. An avant-garde maverick, a rebel in a man's world, Barbara Rubin regains her rightful place in film history.

- DirectorGordon SparlingStarsCorey ThomsonGrey OwlA story of the friendship between a Canadian backwoodsman and a beaver. When the picture opens we see Grey Owl, the backwoodsman, launching his canoe. Once on the water he calls and the beaver appears. This is followed by a flashback to the beginnings of the friendship. The baby beaver, left alone, is discovered by the man who brings it to his camp where he feeds him from a bottle. As the beaver grows, it learns to eat from a dish with its paws, cleaning and brushing itself thoroughly after each meal. Grey Owl does not want to domesticate the beaver, so when it meets a mate, he lets it go. There are several scenes of the two beavers in the water. Grey Owl slaps the surface with his paddle and his pet appears, climbs into the canoe for food. An excellent sequence shows beavers constructing a winter home. They drag branches from the stream and cut them with their sharp teeth. Finally, they bring mud up from the bottom of the stream to fill in the crevices and to seal it securely against all marauders. There are close-ups of this work.
