"Want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing." If you have not heard of Brooke Shields before, this tagline from her Calvin Klein Jeans ad had to grab your attention. Not that she has not had a previously noteworthy resume. She was born on May 31, 1965 in New York City, to Teri (Schmon) and Frank Shields. At age 12, she starred as a child prostitute in Pretty Baby (1978). Could this movie even be made today? It was considered risky and controversial in 1978. It was followed by another blockbuster, the romance adventure drama The Blue Lagoon (1980). Brooke has proved herself to be so much more than her early films. Her broad range of work as an adult would be quite an achievement for anyone, especially given how difficult transitioning from child actor to adult often is.
She has never stopped working, whether it be a Bob Hope Christmas special, her own sitcom Suddenly Susan (1996) or as an author. She also managed to work on a degree from Princeton University. She has received a number of awards during her career, most notably The People's Choice award for 1981 through 1984 in the category of Favorite Young Performer. In 1997, she was honored again with The People's Choice award for Favorite Female Performer in a New Television Series in 1997 for her work in Suddenly Susan (1996). In her personal life, she was married in 1997 to tennis player Andre Agassi and was devastated when they divorced two years later. She married for the second time in 2001 to Chris Henchy. She has been open about using fertility treatments to become pregnant with their daughter, Rowan, born in 2003.
When suffering debilitating depression after the birth of her daughter, she made the decision to put her feelings down on paper. Her book, "Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression," takes a hard, honest look at what she and many other women experience after childbirth. She still lives in New York City, and is still sought after for work in movies, television, and on stage. Pretty nice list of achievements for the once Calvin Klein jeans girl.- Actress

From the age of five, Linda Blair had to get used to the spotlight, first as a child model and then as an actress, when out of 600 applicants she was picked for the role of Regan, the possessed child, in The Exorcist (1973). Linda quickly rose to international fame, won the Golden Globe, and seemed to be set to take the Academy Award for that role, but when it leaked how some parts of the role were not performed by her (the demonic voice was dubbed by Mercedes McCambridge, and eight seconds of a stunt dummy were used) that dream broke, and with that disappointment probably came the first blow to what looked like the beginning of an A-list career.
Over the next few years she had no trouble securing lead roles in a number of pictures, including the highly successful television films Born Innocent (1974) (the #1 TV movie of that year) and Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic (1975), as well as the Exorcist sequel Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977). However, when she was peer pressured into buying cocaine at the age of 18, it led to an arrest and subsequent sentencing to three years probation. The much-publicized drug bust caused Linda to be blacklisted in Hollywood, and her career was soon reduced to B-movies and occasional TV guest appearances only.
Although her career never returned to its former glory, Linda proved to be a good sport about embracing the change, and out of the '80s emerged lead roles in two cult classics: the women-in-prison film Chained Heat (1983) and the femme fatale vigilante action film Savage Streets (1984). She continued acting in numerous films throughout the '80s and '90s, including the Exorcist spoof Repossessed (1990). In 1997, she also took to the Broadway stage and starred as "Rizzo" in the revival of "Grease." She received widespread mainstream attention again in the 2000's with the theatrical re-release of the Exorcist, followed by a hosting job on the hit Fox Family TV series Scariest Places on Earth (2000), which ran for six years and followed Linda as she visited notorious "haunted" locations around the world.
Linda was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Elinore, a real estate agent, and James, an executive headhunter. She has a brother, Jimmy, and a sister, Debbie. Linda has been a Hollywood icon for over 40 years, but it is her first love of animals that has ultimately taken center stage in her life. She now runs the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, a non-profit 501C3 tax deductible organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused, neglected, and abandoned animals from the harsh streets of the Los Angeles area, as well as from the overcrowded and overwhelmed city and county animal shelters. She works and lives on the 2-acre rescue sanctuary full-time in California, which was featured on The Today Show in a segment titled "From Devil to Angel." Of course, she also makes frequent appearances at horror fan conventions to celebrate the legacy of The Exorcist (1973) .- Actress

Cleveland native Mary Carey was born into what could be charitably called a dysfunctional family. Both of her parents were mentally handicapped (her mother had been diagnosed as a schizophrenic) and she was taken away from her parents by her grandparents when she was three months old. After her parents divorced, her mother moved in with Mary and her grandparents. At seven years of age the family moved from Cleveland to Florida, and the next year Mary was legally adopted by her grandparents.
Mary continued in Florida with the dance lessons she had started taking in Cleveland, and was a straight-A student in school. Her stage debut occurred at 12 years of age when she performed "The Nutcracker" with the Miami City Ballet, and she was bitten hard by the performing bug. Her dancing skills were honed by attendance at a prestigious dance school, and she was being offered dance scholarships from many different institutions. Then, at age 16, her grandfather developed lung cancer and died within a few months. Her grandmother's Parkinson's Disease worsened, and on top of that her body began to develop and she no longer had the thin body considered desirable for a ballerina. She was told to lose weight and get a breast reduction, but instead decided to leave ballet altogether and tried out for and won a place on the dance team at Florida State University, where she was enrolled. In the meantime her grandmother's health deteriorated even further, and soon their financial situation became precarious. In order to keep their head above water, Mary looked around for a job that could pay the kind of money they needed, and found a job as a model on an adult Internet site. From there she landed a job as a stripper. She saw that the strippers who commanded the big money were the featured girls, and an agent told her that the best way to become a featured stripper was to get a following doing porn. She traveled to Los Angeles and made the rounds of the adult-film producers and studios, eventually landing a job with Playboy TV.
Just prior to the recall campaign against California Governor Gray Davis, Mary signed a contract with Kick Ass Pictures, and as a publicity gag they came up with the idea that Mary should enter the field of a dozen or so candidates trying to replace Davis, so she soon publicly declared her intention to run for governor. The stunt worked out far better than they had hoped for, as Mary's bubbly personality and sense of humor about herself, her profession and the campaign itself - not to mention her beauty - endeared her to the California public. Although some political pundits wrote her off as a joke, her "campaign" received extensive coverage in the statewide media and she drew enthusiastic crowds at her appearances. Although she didn't win the election, she did manage to garner more than 11,000 votes. After the election Mary continued to turn out videos, which continue to sell well, and she is, besides Jenna Jameson, one of the porn stars most recognized by the general public.- Actress

Carla Gallo is an American actress from Brooklyn, New York City. Her ancestry includes primarily Germans and Italians. She has had several recurring roles in television series. Her most notable role so far was that of supporting character Daisy Wick in the police procedural "Bones". Her character was an impulsive intern with a habit of non-stop talking. Gallo played this role for nearly a decade, from 2008 to 2017.
Gallo received her college education at Cornell University, a research university located in Ithaca, New York. She graduated with a degree in theater. She made her film debut in the black comedy film "Spanking the Monkey" (1994). She portrayed Toni Peck, the adolescent girlfriend of protagonist Ray Aibelli (played by Jeremy Davies). Toni is unaware that her boyfriend has a sexual relationship with his own mother Susan Aibelli (played by Alberta Watson). Toni is surprised when a jealous Susan attacks and injures her, in retaliation for sleeping with Ray. The film was a minor box office hit, earning 1,4 million dollars at the box office. That was about 7 times the size of the film's budget.
By 1999, Gallo started appearing in guest roles in various television series. Her earliest appearances in television series included episodes of the police procedural "Law & Order" and the medical drama "ER". She gained her first recurring role in the sitcom "Undeclared" (2001-2002), which focused on the lives of college freshmen. Gallo portrayed Lizzie Exley, a neurotic psychology student. Lizzie served as the main love interest of protagonist Steven Karp (Jay Baruchel), despite the fact that she was already dating an older man. The questionable nature of Steven and Lizzie's relationship was one of the series' main subplots. The series received critical acclaim, but suffered from low ratings throughout its first and only season. It was ranked as the 93rd most viewed show of American television at the time.
In 2003, Gallo joined the cast of the dark fantasy television series "Carnivàle" (2003-2005). The series was set in the 1930s, and mainly depicted traveling performers at a carnival. Gallo played the dancer Libby Dreifuss, the elder of the two surviving daughters of striptease artist Rita Sue Dreifuss (played by Cynthia Ettinger) and her manager Felix "Stumpy" Dreifuss (played by Toby Huss). During the first season, Libby's role focused on her lesbian relationship with her only friend, the fortune-teller Sofie Bojakshiya (played by Clea DuVall). After Sofie discovers that Libby was keeping secrets from her, she berates Libby and ends their relationship. In the second season, Libby's role focused on her ill-fated marriage to roustabout Clayton "Jonesy" Jones (played by Tim DeKay). She married him against the objections of both her parents, despite knowing that Jonesy was both a former lover of her mother and a former love interest of Sophie. The series only lasted for two seasons and 24 episodes, though the writers had planned the plot developments of a third season.
In 2008, Gallo joined the cast of police procedural "Bones" in its 4th season. Her character of intern Daisy Wick was developed as a knowledgeable and astute assistant to the protagonist Temperance "Bones" Brennan (played by Emily Deschanel), but her impulsiveness and motormouth nature were her main character flaws. Ongoing subplots about Daisy involved her on-and-off romantic relationship with FBI psychologist Lance Sweets (played by John Francis Daley), her treatment of Temperance as both a role model and as a surrogate family member, and getting used to the role of a single mother following the death of Sweets. Daisy ended the series as the lead anthropologist of the National Forensic Lab.
Also in 2008, Gallo joined the cast of the comedy-drama series "Californication" during its second season. She played the role of porn star and aspiring Hollywood actress Daisy, both a client and a lover for publicity agent Charlie Runkle (played by Evan Handler). Their relationship caused the end of Charlie's marriage to Marcy Runkle (played by Pamela Adlon). Gallo left the series following its 3rd season, having played Daisy for 11 episodes.
In 2009, Gallo joined the cast of the comedy-drama series "Men of a Certain Age" (2009-2011), which dealt with the experiences of three middle-aged men. Gallo played Annie, the young girlfriend of retired actor Terry Elliot (played by Scott Bakula). Annie was frequently annoyed at his immature behavior and his tardiness in their dates. The series lasted for 2 seasons and 22 episodes.
In 2014, Gallo had the supporting role of Paula Faldt-Blevins in the comedy film "Neighbors". Paula had a sexual relationship with frat boy Scoonie Schofield (played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse). This relationship motivated Paula's jealous ex-husband Jimmy Blevins (played by Ike Barinholtz) to scheme against the entire fraternity. The film earned 270.7 million dollars at the worldwide box office. In the summer of 2014, Gallo gave birth to her first daughter. In May 2017, Gallo gave birth to her second daughter. She eventually married her long-term partner Mark Satterthwaite. Her husband is a professional screenwriter.
Gallo returned to the role of Paula in the sequel film "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising" (2016). Paula had resumed her relationship with Jimmy, and was expecting her first baby. But she eagerly joined in an escalating conflict between her friends and a new sorority. The conflict was motivated by the incompatible money-making schemes of the two groups. It was eventually resolved through a mutually beneficial deal. The film earned 108.8 million at the worldwide box office, and decent reviews about several of its subplots.
In 2018, Paula portrayed film producer Lucy Fisher (1949-) in the biographical film "A Futile and Stupid Gesture ". The film covered the life of comedy writer Douglas Kenney (1946-1980), and portrayed several of Kenney's associates throughout his career. The real Kenney was killed in an accidental fall from a cliff, leaving behind notes for various unfinished projects. The film was released in the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, to lukewarm reviews.
Gallo has continued her career to the early 2020s. In May 2022, she was hired as part of the main cast of the upcoming series "Platonic". Filming started within the same month. By 2022, Gallo was 46-years-old. She has no plans to retire yet, and she has managed to keep her audience entertained for nearly 30 years.- Actress

Starting her career as a ballet dancer and later worked as a model in New York, Bauer became popular in several American cult films of the 1980s, including Winter Kills (1979), The American Success Company (1979), Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann (1982) and Flashdance (1983). Between television work, she also appeared in the comedy film UHF (1989) and the action sequel RoboCop 2 (1990). Lindsay Dee Lohan was born in New York City, on 2 July 1986, to Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan. She began her career at age three as a Ford model, and also made appearances in over sixty television commercials, including spots for The Gap, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, and Jell-O (opposite Bill Cosby). Lohan made her acting debut in 1996 as the third actress to play Ali Fowler in the television drama Another World (1964). Shortly afterward she was hand-picked by Oscar-nominated writer Nancy Meyers as estranged twin sisters in an adaptation by Walt Disney Pictures of a novel by Erich Kästner, which marked Meyers' directorial debut. Lohan's first feature film, The Parent Trap (1998), a remake of The Parent Trap (1961), was a modest commercial success, earning her widespread critical acclaim and a Young Artist award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film, as well as Blockbuster Entertainment and YoungStar award nominations.
After signing a three-movie contract with Disney, she returned to the small screen to star in the made-for-TV movies Life-Size (2000) (opposite Tyra Banks) and Get a Clue (2002) (opposite Bug Hall). She also appeared as Rose in the pilot episode of the short-lived comedy series Bette (2000), which starred Bette Midler.
In June 2001 Lohan took a brief hiatus from acting. Her music career was launched over a year later, when Estefan Enterprises made a five-album production deal with her in September 2002, and she signed a recording contract with the reactivated Casablanca Records.
However, Lohan was not turning her back on her blossoming acting career. Just over a month previously she had been cast opposite Jamie Lee Curtis for another Disney adaptation of a novel, this time a fantasy comedy by Mary Rodgers. Freaky Friday (2003), a remake of Freaky Friday (1976), was a huge hit (generating over $160 million in worldwide box office receipts) and critics were spellbound by delightful performances from Lohan and Curtis (who went on to receive a Golden Globe nomination for her work). In addition, Lohan won the 2004 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female, as well as a Saturn award nomination and another Young Artist award nomination.
Lohan relocated permanently to Los Angeles between projects and moved into an apartment with fellow actress Raven-Symoné. She also dated pop star Aaron Carter for a short time.
Her next acting role was the title character in the comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), a Disney adaptation of the novel by Dyan Sheldon. The film received scathing reviews upon its release and died a quick death at the box office, but even the harshest of critics were impressed by Lohan's charming turn as aspiring actress Lola.
Lohan's next project, Mean Girls (2004), saw her reunite with Freaky Friday (2003) director Mark Waters. Inspired by a non-fiction book by Rosalind Wiseman and written by Saturday Night Live (1975) scribe Tina Fey, the high-school comedy-drama opened to glowing reviews and grossed $86 million in the US. This earned her status as a bankable actress, and a salary of $7.5 million for the Donald Petrie romantic comedy Just My Luck (2006).
One of the most sought-after young actresses in the industry, she starred in Bobby (2006) (opposite Demi Moore and Sharon Stone), the Disney fantasy adventure Herbie Fully Loaded (2005) (a pseudo-sequel to The Love Bug (1969)) and the critically acclaimed A Prairie Home Companion (2006). On top of a thriving film career Lohan also launched a music career, releasing her debut album, "Speak," which hit shelves in December 2004.
In 2009 Lohan launched her own fashion line titled 6126, mainly focusing on the production of women's leggings. By spring she launched a self-tanning spray line titled "Sevin Nyne" and by the end of the year she became an artistic designer for fashion house Ungaro.
Lindsay continues her career in acting, having played a supporting role in the action film Machete (2010).- Kirsten Baker made her film debut in California Dreaming (1979). Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, she worked as an actress in feature films and television, as well as a print model for Cannon Pictures. This led to a modeling career which she pursued into the early 1990s. Circa 1993, Kirsten was no longer acting or modeling; she was employed at an art gallery on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles, CA.
- Nancy Anne Allen was born and raised in the Bronx borough of New York City, the youngest of three children. Her father, Eugene Allen, was a New York police lieutenant. At a young age, she trained for a dancing career at the High School of Performing Arts, and then attended Jose Quintano's School for Young Professionals. In dozens of television commercials from the age of 15, Nancy made her first film appearance in The Last Detail (1973) with Jack Nicholson. Three years later, she furnished the standard for all future bitch-goddess teenagers as Chris Hargensen in Stephen King's Carrie (1976), taken to the big screen by director Brian De Palma. Nancy then married De Palma in 1979. She next appeared in Steven Spielberg's I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978); for the next few years, she appeared only in De Palma's films: Home Movies (1979), Dressed to Kill (1980), and she starred with John Travolta in Blow Out (1981).
After her divorce from De Palma in 1984, Nancy's film opportunities were supposedly narrowed, but then she surprised the whole world when she performed as Officer Anne Lewis in the sci-fi cult film RoboCop (1987), along with Peter Weller. Here, she furnished another standard as a tough but at the same time feminine policewoman, whose sex would not interfere with her actions. After the success of Robocop (1987), she performed as Patricia Gardner in the second sequel Poltergeist III (1988). She came back in RoboCop 2 (1990) and in order to get more involved with her character, Nancy learned martial arts and police training for real. She returned again in RoboCop 3 (1993), though her co-star Peter Weller did not this time. In 1993, Nancy joined several other veteran stars in Acting on Impulse (1993), and married co-star Craig Shoemaker, in the same year. A few years later, she divorced Craig and some time after she married again.
She later appeared in some diverse films: Dusting Cliff 7 (1997), Secret of the Andes (1998), Circuit (2001), and she had a guest appearance in Steven Soderbergh's Out of Sight (1998). Her last performance was for the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), in the episode "Escape" aired on December 2, 2003. Allen has appeared in a number of documentaries about her most famous films, including Dressed to Kill (1980), Carrie (1976), Blow Out (1981), Poltergeist III (1988), and the RoboCop trilogy. She also hosted Andrew J. Kuehn's horror film documentary Terror in the Aisles (1984), along with Donald Pleasence.
Interested in projecting the image of a strong but at the same time feminine woman, she managed to get away from the victim roles she was always offered, she also was able to get away from the stereotype of the beautiful but dumb woman in most action films. She is an environmentalist that traded her Volvo car for an Hybrid car in order to furnish the example. She is also an activist against breast cancer along with her friend actress Wendie Jo Sperber, who created the foundation WeSpark. Her last appearance on television was on the Inside E! story of her co-star John Travolta and the A&E Biography of Travolta - both appearances in 2004. Nowadays, Allen lives a quiet life along with her family and friends somewhere in the United States. - Alex Breckenridge was born on May 15 1982 in Darien, Connecticut before moving to California when she was 12. Breckenridge first got an interest in acting at 13 when she performed in local theater productions and soon moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Her first film was the independent comedy picture Locust Valley (1999). She followed up this performance with guest spots on several successful series, including Dawson's Creek (1998) and Freaks and Geeks (1999), and supporting roles in the films Big Fat Liar (2002), Orange County (2002) and the short film D.E.B.S. (2003), which won the award for Best Short at the 2003 New York Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. After appearing on the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997), Alex was offered her own series, the UPN drama pilot Mystery Girl. Sadly, UPN chose to have only one female-led detective series in the 2004-2005 season and Mystery Girl was not picked up. In 2005, Alex appeared in the ABC Family movie Romy and Michele: In the Beginning (2005) and took on the role of Michele Weinberger, played by Lisa Kudrow in the original 1997 film. She also began work on the animated sitcom Family Guy (1999), voicing celebrities such as Cybill Shepherd and Christina Aguilera. In 2006, Alex is breaking into the mainstream with a lead role in the comedy movie She's the Man (2006). She currently lives in Hollywood.

Her older brother and sister, Jeffrey and Jennifer, were 1987 U.S. Junior Champions in ice dancing and competed internationally. When Julie was 14, she had a bad stress fracture and had to take time off.
By 1989, with her figure skating career over, Julie turned to acting and got involved in the local theater where she got a role in the play "Street Law". Her first movie role was a small credited speaking part in the Black Cat segment of the Dario Argento/George A. After graduating from high school, Julie entered New York University to study acting there. After graduation, Julie moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her career and landed some small roles in movies and TV shows including a guest appearance on Married... with Children (1987) and in the Aaron Spelling TV pilot Crosstown Traffic (1995).
In 1996, Julie auditioned for the role of "Buffy" in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997), but lost out to Sarah Michelle Gellar. However, she was offered a small role as a vampire girl in which she did such a good job that her part was expanded to a few more episodes in playing the vampire "Darla". With that, Julie Benz's career had finally taken off. She reprised her role as "Darla" in the Buffy spin-off series Angel (1999) for two years and has had several small roles in various film productions. She also had a small, but memorable, role playing a receptionist in the movie As Good as It Gets (1997).

Elizabeth Stamatina Fey was born in 1970 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, just west of Philadelphia, to Xenobia "Jeanne" (Xenakes), a brokerage employee, and Donald Henry Fey, who wrote grant proposals for universities. Her mother is Greek, born in Piraeus, while her father had German, Northern Irish, and English ancestry. Going by the name of Tina, Fey considered herself a "supernerd" during her high school and college years. She studied drama at the University of Virginia, and after graduating in 1992, she headed to Chicago, the ancestral home of American comedy. While working at a YMCA to support herself, she started Second City's first set of courses. After about nine months, a teacher told her to just skip ahead and audition for the more selective Second City Training Center. She failed but about eight weeks later, she re-auditioned and got into the year-long program. She ended up spending many years at The Second City in Chicago where many SNL cast members first started out. Then in 1995, Saturday Night Live (1975) came to The Second City's cast, including Fey's friend, Adam McKay, as a writer, searching for new talent. What they found was Tina Fey. When Adam was made Head writer, he suggested Fey should send a submission packet over the summer with six sketches, 10 pages each. Tina took the advice and sent them. After Lorne Michaels met her and saw her work she was offered a job a week later. She admitted that she was extremely nervous working in the legendary Studio 8H; being a foot shorter than everyone else, younger, and being one of the only female writers at the time. After a few years, Tina made history by becoming the first female head writer in the show's history. Tina also made her screen debut as a featured player during the 25th season by co-anchoring Weekend Update with Jimmy Fallon. Since Tina and Jimmy have taken over Weekend Update it has been considered the best ever. This year she made it to full fledged star by becoming a regular cast member, though she is hardly on the show, besides Update. And during the past two summers, Tina and Rachel Dratch performed their two-woman show to critical acclaim in both Chicago (1999) and New York (2000) and made their Aspen Comedy Festival Debut. Tina is married to Jeff Richmond, a Second City director and lives in New York City.- Actress

"Fairuza!" ("Turquoise" in Farsi), her father exclaimed as he saw her blue eyes: Fairuza Alejandra Balk had just been born on May 21, 1974 in Point Reyes, California. Her father, Solomon Ben Feldthouse, was a traveling musician originally from Idaho, and her mother, Cathryn Balk, was a belly dancer. Her parents split up soon after. Fairuza grew up just north of San Francisco, California on a commune-type ranch. Her mother later found work in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was there that Fairuza began her career at age 9 on the ABC special The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (1983). Two years later, she went to the United Kingdom where she attended the Royal Academy of Ballet, the Ramona Beauchamp Agency, and the Bush Davies Performing Arts School. Fairuza worked for the Walt Disney Company for a while; at 11, she was chosen from 1,200 girls to star as Dorothy in Return to Oz (1985). The next year she starred, prophetically enough, as The Worst Witch (1986) a harbinger of her breakout role in The Craft (1996) 10 years later.
Fairuza and her mother remained in London until 1988, then went to Paris where the 15-year-old starred in Valmont (1989). The next year they returned to Vancouver and Fairuza enrolled in high school, but ended up doing correspondence courses after proving shy in class. Back in Hollywood she starred in a string of movies, including Gas Food Lodging (1992), for which she received an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress. Following further television and film work, she achieved cult status with her starring role as a teenage witch in her breakout film, The Craft (1996). That year she also appeared in The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996), in which she did some belly-dancing and attracted the attention of Lancashire, England-born co-star David Thewlis. They did another movie together, American Perfekt (1997).
Fairuza was also the love interest in the wildly-popular The Waterboy (1998) and had a major role in American History X (1998). With a half-dozen movies for 2000, Fairuza is much in demand. Her interests are writing poetry and stories, playing the guitar, singing (her main enjoyment), and dancing. She lives in Venice, California and has an apartment in New York City.- Actress

The collection now includes over 36 product categories and is available throughout the world.
Jessica Ann Simpson was born and raised outside of Abilene, Texas, to Tina Simpson (née Drew) and Joe Simpson, who is a psychologist and Baptist youth minister. She began her performing career by sharing the stage with famous gospel acts such as Kirk Franklin, God's Property and Ce Ce Winans. With her unmistakable voice and unique pop sound, Jessica caught the eye of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola. After joining a tour in support of the boy-band 98 Degrees, she quickly burst onto the music scene in 1999 with her debut release Sweet Kisses. Her RIAA-certified double platinum debut featured Jessica's massive breakthrough hit, "I Wanna Love You Forever," which hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The title track to Irresistible, her 2001 follow-up, was a crossover smash, charting on the Hot 100 (#15), the Rhythmic Top 40 (#12), Top 40 Mainstream (#3) and Top 40 Tracks (#5).
But it was the success of her quadruple-platinum album, In This Skin, which marked Jessica's debut as a songwriter and further refined her ever-evolving voice as an artist. "Sweetest Sin," the album's first single to hit the Top 40, is a marked change from the teen pop style that launched her career.
Having made her mark in the music industry, it wasn't long before Hollywood was knocking on her door. In addition to a recurring role on That 70's Show, Jessica's MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica launched in 2003, making her a household name. Jessica worked with famed Nashville producers John Shanks and Brett James and co-wrote all but 3 songs on the album, one having been written for her by her all time Country inspiration, Dolly Parton. The first single, "Come On Over" broke the record for highest entry into the charts for a newcomer to Country and was the number one most downloaded country single on iTunes.
Jessica's latest album, Happy Christmas, was released on November 22, 2010 by Primary Wave Records. For this second holiday record (her first, Rejoyce, was released in 2002), Jessica worked with legendary producers Tricky and The Dream. The album mixed traditional Christmas favorites with original songs like "My Only Wish." Among the highlights was a very special duet of "I'll Be Home for Christmas" which Jessica sang and recorded with an active naval officer, Lance Corporal John Britt from the USS Harry Truman in the Persian Gulf. As a complement to the album, a Happy Christmas concert special was produced for PBS. As part of the special, Jessica sang duets with Carly Simon, Trey Lorenz and her sister, Ashlee Simpson. Jessica had the opportunity to travel the world for her VH-1 docu-series, "Jessica Simpson's: The Price of Beauty." Francoise was born in France. She started to perform as an actress on stage at an early age. Francoise graduated in Paris with a degree in Art, Literature and Philosophy. After graduation, Francoise started to work for the leading Dubbing/ Voice-over Studios by lending her voice to many American and European Feature films and TV Series.
In addition to acting, Francoise began to write screenplays with lead female characters. While working as an actress, Francoise noticed that women were often performing the same roles: a mother, the girl next door, a friend, a girlfriend, a prostitute. Rarely, women were depicted as cops, doctors, attorneys, firefighters, detectives, or heroes in films. Francoise decided to write screenplays with these roles for actresses to perform. Writing stories with strong and non-conventional female roles became a passion.
Francoise doesn't have a particular genre. She writes dramas, comedies, period pieces and more. For her, the genre is just a different way to tell a necessary story. Francoise is driven by an exploration of human nature. She is fascinated by what makes us good, bad, and all the multitudes in between that create the compelling characters in her screenplays. Francoise's stories reflect her values, her beliefs, and the need to show how far we as human beings can go.
In 1998, Francoise moved to Los Angeles to pursue her entertainment career. There she started to learn production by working in various commercials, industrials, political spots, TV series and documentaries. Shortly thereafter, Francoise was hired to write a CGI animation feature film entitled "Bremen" then an episode of Sonic Boom, "Lair on Lockdown". Francoise also worked as a Stand-In on many TV shows and Feature films.
It was while working on CSI: NY, Francoise learned to direct. Thanks to the show, CBS Radford studio and the generosity of the CSI: NY crew, she was able to write and direct three short films: Bon Voyage, Ariel and To the Altar. Directing became her new passion.
When Francoise writes a screenplay, she already sees the film playing minute-by-minute in her mind. Therefore, directing was the next logical step. For Francoise, there are different layers to tell a story visually. First, you tell it with the actors. Not only can they tell you the story the way it was written - but they also add to it. The right word or the right expression speaks volumes. Just as important is the camera's own language. Each camera move adds to the crafting of the story. Sometimes the camera can intervene as "another actor" and show another perspective. Lighting sets the mood and further enhances the story just as the music which transports the viewer where they need to go. Finally, good editing is essential. This is when "the puzzle" of the film is put together. When you have "good pieces" everything goes smoothly. This is why Francoise always works hard on her shot list. Directing is simple and complex at the same time. You must stay true to the creative genesis of the project while minding the practical limits such as time frame and a budget. Directing is an exciting balance of choosing your battles and priorities while maintaining the integrity of your creative vision.

Born in Santa Barbara, California on June 29, 1964, almond-eyed Kathleen Wilhoite grew up there and began singing in her church choir from the first grade. Two years later, she was performing on stage, as part of a back-up choir, with The Carpenters, at the Santa Barbara County Bowl. All the while, she studied piano and songwriting and appeared in her high school's theater productions, such as "The House of Blue Leaves". Kathleen wrote and sang as one of the "Boogie Woogie Bugle Girls", a harmony group inspired by The Andrews Sisters. She also became the youngest member of the Santa Barbara Songwriters Guild (age 16).
After high school, Kathleen elected to pursue an acting career, as opposed to music, and enrolled at the USC Drama School. Just a couple of months later, she landed her first movie role in Private School (1983). Throughout the 1980s, she appeared in a number of film and TV projects as both leads and second leads where her brash sexuality and quirky, unconventional style was eagerly put on display. She appeared noticeably opposite Charles Bronson in Murphy's Law (1986), Jane Fonda in The Morning After (1986), Robert De Niro in Angel Heart (1987), Amy Irving in Crossing Delancey (1988), Patrick Swayze in Road House (1989), and Debra Winger and Nick Nolte in Everybody Wins (1990), and Susan Sarandon and Nolte in Lorenzo's Oil (1992).
Kathleen appeared on many of the popular series of the 80's and '90s including "AfterMASH," "Family Ties," "The Jeffersons," "Cagney & Lacey" and "Fame," "Cop Rock," "Twin Peaks," "Quantum Leap," "Mad About You," "Ally McBeal" and "Family Law." While her acting career flourished, she continued to expand her music skills but was dealt with a few setbacks, including a contract with Mercury Records that fell through. After a brief sojourn to Texas to refocus intently on her music, Kathleen returned to the Hollywood rat race and eased back in as a "working actress".
A variety of offbeat roles in such movies as Nurse Betty (2000) and Pay It Forward (2000) has kept her name active on the credits list for over two decades. She landed a number of challenging roles, including a recurring roles on the law series L.A. Law (1986) as intellectually disabled assistant Benny's Adhipathi (1990) likewise girlfriend Rosalie, and the medical series ER (1994) as troubled, substance abuser Chloe Lewis.
In the late 1980s, Kathleen was chosen by cartoonist Cathy Guisewite to give vocal life to her creation Cathy (1987) in a series of TV movies. Wilhoite later voiced another cartoon creation, Sue Rose's Pepper Ann (1997) in an animated TV series.
Into the millennium, Kathleen's on-camera featured work included the films Nurse Betty (2000), Pay It Forward (2000), Quicksand (2003), Perfect Opposites (2004), Firecracker (2005), Winged Creatures (2008), Seeking Justice (2011), Crazy Kind of Love (2013) and The Ride (2018). In addition to a recurring role on Gilmore Girls (2000), she had guest parts on "Touched by an Angel," "24," "Boomtown," "Will & Grace," "Charmed," "The Ghost Whisperer," "Boston Legal," "Criminal Minds," "Grey's Anatomy," "Battle Creek," "The OA" and "Yellowstone."
Married to record producer/drummer David Harte and the mother of three children, Kathleen was signed by her husband to his "The Daves" record label (the other "Dave" is booking agent David Surnow) and released two CDS - "Pitch Like a Girl" (1997) and "Shiva" (2000). In sync with both her edgy acting and music style, she wrote and performed an autobiographical one-woman show, "Stop Yellin'," directed by Kathy Najimy, in which she sings her own music and performs monologues.- Born in Hayward, California as Kimberlin Ann Brown, Brown made daytime television history by successfully crossing over her character from the number one daytime drama The Young and the Restless (1973) to The Bold and the Beautiful (1987) causing the latter show's ratings to skyrocket in the early 1990s. Discovered by famed modeling agent Nina Blanchard, it took almost a year of soul-searching for Brown to decide if she really wanted to give up her dream of being an architect, before she moved to Los Angeles. The modeling work came quickly, and Brown jetted off to model in Tokyo, Milan and Paris. Upon her return to the United States, Brown decided to give acting a try. She guest starred on numerous television series, including Matt Houston (1982) and T.J. Hooker (1982) while taking acting classes. Brown soon won a recurring part on the daytime drama Capitol (1982). In addition, she had featured roles in the films Who's That Girl (1987), 18 Again! (1988), and Eye of the Tiger (1986). Brown's big break came in 1990: Jill Newton, the casting director of The Young and the Restless, remembered Brown from a previous audition and called her in for the role of nurse Sheila Carter. Originally designed as a minor recurring player, Brown's talents were quickly realized by the show's creator William J. Bell and culminated in a 1992 Daytime Emmy Award nomination as 'Best Supporting Actress'. As the role of Sheila Carter expanded to a full-flexed villain amidst a baby-snitch storyline along-side Tracey E. Bregman's Lauren Fenmore, the character was eventually "killed off" in dramatic fashion in May 1992. Little did viewers know, that the genius of William J. Bell saw a new lease of light for the character on sister-show The Bold And The Beautiful: A very much alive Sheila showed up in fictional Los Angeles where she was linked to the powerful Forrester dynasty. The rivalry of Sheila and Lauren continued to play a pivotal role in Los Angeles as well as Genoa City for another three years creating several story-lines spanning both shows. Brown's character was eventually reformed and continued in another direction until her shocking exit in October 1998. In 1999, Brown started a three-year-run as psychologist Dr. Rachel Locke on Port Charles (1997) - and no stranger to cross-over series-events - also brought this character to life on mother-show General Hospital (1963) on several occasions. In a top-secret move, Brown then made a highly publicized surprise return to The Bold And The Beautiful in May 2002. Due to a change of storyline, Brown was written off after just 6 months when the character of Sheila shot another legacy character, Dr. Taylor as played by Hunter Tylo. Following another quick return visit in 2003, Brown landed the role of Dr. Paige Miller on New York-based One Life to Live (1968), but left the show after several months to return to the role of Sheila Carter in August 2005. But this time, Brown returned to her original stomping grounds on The Young And The Restless. However, changes in storyline cut her return short and Brown was written off a mere 6 months later. In following years, scheduling conflicts prevented Brown from reprising her legacy character which was eventually killed off. In the last couple of years, Brown has starred in several independent movie productions and played a lead role on web-serial The Bay (2010) in 2011 in addition to starting her own interior design firm in 2012 in San Diego, California. Brown is married to Gary Pelzer since May 11, 1991 and they share a daughter and son.

From Cleveland to Hollywood, actress, producer, entrepreneur, funny woman, tear-jerker, designer, decorator, builder, creator, fixer, cook, cleaner, host, wife, Browns fan, homemaker, (very) amateur bowler and -her favorite title- mom, Monica Potter has achieved success in several different ways....save having a concise bio intro.
Monica Potter was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Nora Marie (Sexton), a homemaker and part-time cleaning lady, and Paul Ely Brokaw, Jr., who -among many other widely-used innovations- invented the first flame-resistant car wax. Her maternal grandparents were Irish.
A passionate creator by genes and trade, Potter, along with her 12-person "Monica Potter Home" team, is producing a line of natural, locally-crafted home and beauty products sold on mrspotter.com as well as the company's first standalone store, which opened in Garrettsville Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, in 2014. Building the company had been a dream for Potter. Through it, she aims to supplement the beauty and comfort of customers' homes at an affordable price, while creating sustainable job opportunities in the area. Appropriately enough, "Monica Potter Home" is headquartered in Potter's own childhood house in Cleveland; a structure Potter recently bought and renovated as part of an initiative to improve the neighborhood's condition.
When not running a company and knocking down walls, Potter is at work producing a sitcom, with Ellen DeGeneres and Warner Bros. Television, in which she will star as a mom, living under the same roof as her three ex-husbands. The script is in development and a pilot will be shot this spring. She is also producing a docu-series, tracking the renovation of her childhood home, with her favorite cast of characters...her family.
To the dismay of its extraordinarily vocal fans, Potter recently wrapped production on five seasons of NBC's acclaimed drama series, Parenthood (2010). For her portrayal of "Kristina Braverman" and her struggles to raise three children (including one with Autism), an emotional battle with breast cancer and run for mayor, Potter has garnered a 2014 Golden Globes nomination, a 2013 Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, a TCA Award nomination for Individual Achievement in Drama & continued Emmy buzz.
Potter's previous television credits include roles in Boston Legal (2004), for which Potter and her cast mates were nominated for a 2005 Screen Actors Guild award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, TNT's Trust Me (2009), USA's Reversible Errors (2004) and the beginning of it all, The Young and the Restless (1973).
Potter burst onto the film scene with her co-starring role, opposite Nicolas Cage in Simon West's Con Air (1997). She then starred, with Robin Williams, in the acclaimed dramedy, Patch Adams (1998) and appeared opposite Morgan Freeman in the thriller, Along Came a Spider (2001). Other film credits include the comedies, Head Over Heels (2001) and I'm with Lucy (2002), the mega-hit horror classic Saw (2004), Without Limits (1998), Lower Learning (2008) and The Last House on the Left (2009).
Potter resides in both Cleveland and Los Angeles with her family.- Rebecca Tilney was born on 30 June 1960 in the USA. She is an actress, known for S.W.A.T. (2017), The Social Network (2010) and Rectify (2013).
- Lycia Naff began her Hollywood career as a lead dancer on the T.V. series, Fame (1982). She was given the opportunity to act on the series. That's when the acting bug bit. After three seasons on "Fame", Lycia went on to star in a number of plays, including "Closely Related", at the Southcoast Repertory Theatre, for which she received an Honorable Mention award from the L.A. Times. Lycia temporarily ended her acting career 13 years later, after receiving an Emmy Award nomination for Best Performance in a TV movie, for her starring role in The Perfect Date (1990). Lycia took a hiatus to become a journalist, having worked at top newspapers and magazines, including the Miami Herald and People Magazine.
Currently, Lycia is the proud owner of two white bunnies, Stinky and Walter, and is content writing for national magazines and acting in national commercials in Los Angeles. This beautiful, long-legged blonde actress was known to be a kind, intelligent and dependable actor with a comedic talent as well. She appeared in many American TV hits of the 1970s and 1980s, such as Three's Company (1976), The Jeffersons (1975), The New Mike Hammer (1984), Riptide (1984), Knight Rider (1982), Who's the Boss? (1984), The A-Team (1983), Night Court (1984), Wings (1990) and Silk Stalkings (1991), among others. Her big-screen debut came in the 1982 Amy Heckerling film Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), as the character Mrs. Vargas. This film starred Sean Penn and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Lana then landed a role in the Roger Corman fantasy epic Deathstalker (1983). This led to her being offered the title role in Corman's next film, the cult classic Barbarian Queen (1985). It was this association with the legendary Corman that really put Lana on the B-movie map. After starring in "Barbarian Queen" as the sword-wielding lead, a character Corman fondly refers to as "the original Xena," Lana then reprised the role in the sequel Barbarian Queen II: The Empress Strikes Back (1990).
Lana's larger-than-life personality and striking beauty, along with several of the movie roles she chose, inspired a cult fan following. This warm fanfare was further cemented by her work in the John Landis spoof Amazon Women on the Moon (1987). She was always a favorite at the ever-growing comic book conventions, where she happily signed autographs and was known to be friendly and accessible to all of her loyal fans, both young and old alike.
Lana also did stunt work in Retroactive (1997). Her last film was March (2001), as Dr. Ellen Taylor. Even though she did not do many movies toward the end of her life, she found success working in television commercials, for such products as Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Anheiser Busch, Playtex bras, Kmart and Mattel. She had been spending her time creating comedic characters for many of these companies. While working for the KMART Corp., Lana made personal appearances as the character she created for the Route 66 clothing campaign, Katie Earline Wilson. She was an actress who had more to offer Hollywood in the future, had her life not been cut so tragically short.Sadly killed by that *beep* Phil Spector.
