Anthologies of Interest- The best anthologies in movies, tv, and anime.
Anthologies are a sadly underused format, in both TV and film, presumably because it's too risky to be constantly churning out new stories/characters which viewers may or may not like- Much safer to just use market research and PR teams and focus-groups, to work out what viewers DO like, and then just re-make that, with minor changes, 12 or 24 times a season.
But when done well, anthologies can be some of the best, most innovative, interesting and creative shows on TV. (Film anthologies are kind of a different beast- Almost the opposite mindset; Often just a way for studios to hedge thier bets, by not putting all their eggs in one basket, for cheap projects)
