In addition to her musical and acting career, her theme parks (Dollywood, Dollywood's Splash Country, and Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner Theaters); Dolly Parton has had ventures into almost every product you can think of. In the early '90s, she put out a line of cosmetics (Dolly Parton's Beauty Confidence Collection) and wigs (Dolly Parton Wigs), both manufactured by Revlon. She owns song publishing companies (Velvet Apple Music (BMI) and Songyard Music (ASCAP) as well as a motion picture and television production company (Southern Light Productions). In the mid-to-late 1970s, Dolly had her own line of dolls. For a brief time in the mid-to-late 1990s she once again began offering "Dolly Parton" dolls through Dollywood. Her likeness has appeared on countless merchandise, and she's constantly coming up with new products she'd like to distribute and endorse. Among the projects Parton hopes to launch in the future include a new line of cosmetics, a frozen food line, and a line of women's undergarments. She also hopes to launch a children's television show as well as authoring several children's books and albums.

February 11, 2009: Album: "Sha-Kon-O-Hey! Land of Blue Smoke" (Dolly Records). This commemorative CD was recorded to raise money for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The eight songs included also make up the soundtrack to the 2009 Dollywood stage production of "Sha-Kon-O-Hey!". Parton wrote the score for the stage show.
March 23, 2009: Album: "Backwoods Barbie: Collector's Edition" (Dolly Records). This special edition of Parton's 2008 CD was available exclusively at all Cracker Barrel Old Country Store locations. The collector's edition included three new tracks, "Rose of My Heart," "Hallelujah Holiday," and "Berry Pie". These tracks were personally selected by Parton for this store exclusive collector's edition. The project also included new cover art and photos for the liner notes.
July 14, 2009: Album: "9 to 5: The Musical" (Official
Broadway Cast Recording) (Dolly Records). This cast recording of Parton's score for the
Broadway musical "9 to 5" features the vocal talent of

On October 27, 2009 a new duet featuring Dolly and
Kenny Rogers was released on Rogers' new box set "Kenny Rogers: The First 50 Years". The duet, "Tell Me That You Love Me", is the first time the two have worked together since Rogers' 2003 CD "Back to the Well" which featured them on a Dolly written track, "Undercover".
October 27, 2009: Box Set - "Dolly" (Sony/Legacy). This 4-CD box set is the first career-spanning box set to cross various record labels. The set includes 99 songs, including rarities, seven previously unreleased tracks, and a full-color 60 page booklet.
