The high-end show is an English-language action-drama with comedic elements directed by Emmy winner Adam Bernstein, which is currently shooting on location.
In “Costiera,” Williams is playing an Italian-American former Marine named Daniel De Luca, who is a problem solver in one of the most exclusive hotels in the world in Positano. He is a guest of the owner because Dd, as everyone knows him, is the only person who caught a glimpse of the man who may have kidnapped his daughter, and therefore is the only person who may be able to hunt the kidnapper down. Aside from that storyline, Dd basically solves a case in each episode.

Exclusive: Fremantle is taking a Love is Blind-esque Danish format to the London TV Screenings in which singletons try to find love using just sight and sound.
Fremantle label Strong has produced Sense of Attraction and the show will be shopped to potential buyers in the capital in a fortnight’s time.
In Sense of Attraction, singletons try to find true love using only two senses. But they can’t use the two senses at the same time, so when they see each other they can’t speak and when they speak they can’t see one another.
The show has shades of Netflix hit Love is Blind, in which single men and women become engaged before they have even seen each other. That smash format has aired for six seasons on Netflix and been remade in a number of territories.
Denmark has a healthy history of originating big formats...

The current fourth season of USA Network’s The Sinner will be its last. The remaining three episodes will air Nov. 17 and Nov. 24, leading to an extended Season 4 — and series — finale on Dec. 1, which will wrap Det. Harry Ambrose’s (Bill Pullman) journey.
This marks another milestone in USA Network’s original programming evolution as UCP-produced The Sinner is the last remaining homegrown scripted series on the network.
The success of a string of scripted hits, including Monk, Burn Notice, Psych, Suits and Mr. Robot, helped NBCUniversal’s USA rank as No. 1 entertainment cable network for 14 years – the longest streak in TV history — in the 2000s and early 2010s.
But, as streaming’s ascend started to put a damp on linear ratings, it became increasingly challenging for premium scripted series to be sustained by the linear ad-supported cable business model. Like other basic cable networks, USA several of years ago...

The Violent Femmes have released a new HD version of the music video for their 1991 song, “American Music.” The clip arrives as the band preps a 40th-anniversary reissue of their 1993 compilation, Add It Up (1981-1993), out May 21st via Craft Recordings.
The clip, directed by Adam Bernstein, pairs the Violent Femmes’ song with a surreal blast of Americana, mashing together square dances, disco balls, and psychedelia. In an email to Rolling Stone, Violent Femmes bassist Brian Ritchie said Bernstein “got certain elements of the Violent Femmes” that separated them from other groups.

The highly anticipated TV adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer is dead.
CBS has reportedly decided to shelve the drama series based on Michael Connelly's 2005 novel of the same, according to Deadline.
The project snagged a series commitment from CBS back in June 2019, and was to be written and executive-produced by David E. Kelley (The Practice).
Additional EPs included Connelly, Ted Humphrey, Ross Fineman, and director Adam Bernstein.
According to the official synopsis, the series would center around Mickey Haller, “an iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back of his Lincoln town car, as he takes on cases big and small across Los Angeles.”
Logan Marshall-Green was said to be attached to take on the title role, alongside a cast that included Kiele Sanchez (Kingdom), Angus Sampson (No Activity), and Jazz Raycole (The Quad).

Midway through HBO’s new mystery/horror hybrid The Outsider, a character buys a half-dozen lamps at a hardware store, takes them out to the woods, and dumps them in a field. The series doesn’t make room for humor, but this is a very funny moment, albeit an unintentional one. Jay R. Ferguson, Edi Gathegi, Brian Geraghty and Kim Dickens also star.
The 10-episode Briarpatch was written for television by Greenwald, who executive produces alongside Esmail through his production company Esmail Corp and Anonymous Content’s Chad Hamilton. Dawson also is a producer on the series from Ucp and Paramount Television.

Fosse/Verdon certainly isn’t flawless, but it’s very strong out of the gate in these first three episodes. Hamilton director Thomas Kail guided the first two episodes with an assured hand, throwing us headfirst into the theater world with little set-up, allowing audiences to feel their way into the environment, and trusting that his two star performances will keep people hooked. His instincts were right on, and despite some awkward editing and temporal shifts, the show is arresting, absorbing, and intelligent.

White Collar vet Matt Bomer is headed back to USA Network via a starring role in The Sinner‘s just-ordered third season, TVLine has learned. Bomer follows in the footsteps of Jessica Biel and Carrie Coon, who headlined Seasons 1 and 2 of the anthology-esque crime drama, respectively.
Season 3 of The Sinner follows Detective Harry Ambrose (returning series regular Bill Pullman) as he begins what appears to be a routine investigation of a tragic car accident in upstate New York. However, Ambrose eventually “uncovers a hidden crime that pulls him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career,” per the official logline.

There’s hardly a better example of just how overwhelming the TV offerings have gotten than “Weird City.” The new slick and bizarre comedy was co-created by Jordan Peele and “Key and Peele” writer Charlie Sanders, features a stacked cast, and is nonetheless stranded on YouTube Premium (though the first two episodes are available to stream for free). It’s the kind of show that could only exist during Peak TV, when the vast array of options can make room for bigger creative swings; it’s also the kind of show that could, regardless of merit, get lost in the shuffle.
But if you do tune into the six episodes that dropped on Feb. 13, “Weird City” quickly proves itself to be an interesting experiment, at the very least. It takes place in a sci-fi world wherein the “Haves” and “Have Nots” are divided into starkly segregated communities by a literal...

Let’s face it: we’ve all wondered what it would look like to see LeVar Burton get taken up through a pneumatic tube. “Weird City,” an science fiction anthology series arriving on YouTube Premium next month, also casts him as something of a mad scientist, which seems extremely promising. Burton is just one of many notable cast members in the ensemble. Written by Jordan Peele and former “Key & Peele” writer Charlie Sanders, “Weird City” also features appearances by Steven Yeun, Mark Hamill, Gillian Jacobs, Awkwafina, Laverne Cox, Rosario Dawson, and Michael Cera.
The six-episode anthology series is set in an imminent science fiction world full of gratification machines and instant muscle pills. In this futuristic society, humans either live in the wealthy, affluent Above the Line part of the slightly-futuristic city of Weird, or Below the Line, where amenities aren’t quite so prevalent. Aside from looking at class differences,...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains details of the season 4 finale of Better Call Saul.
There are many moving parts to Better Call Saul, with the main lingering question being: “How did Jimmy McGill become Saul Goodman?” The season 4 finale addresses this and continues to clear the path for the inevitable intersection with the Breaking Bad timeline — although we’ll probably have to wait a little longer to see Walter White or Jesse Pinkman make an appearance in Saul.
Even so, the AMC spinoff and its predecessor have practically crossed over already considering the amount of overflow from one to the other. The season 4 finale of Better Call Saul adds to the Breaking Bad-iverse narrative, focusing on two points: the metaphorical death of Bob Odenkirk’s Jimmy McGill and the birth of Saul Goodman as well as a “who can get to Werner Ziegler (Rainer Bock) first” competition between Mike...
