Worth the 50 bucks I can get it for? I love the story (I've read parts of it), but have heard that the film is slow and pretentious. Also it has come to my knowledge that the quality of print is pretty low.

My questions are:

A: Is the print of the film available now in a region 1 setting worth paying for? Should I hold out for a re-release?

B: Is the film even worth watching? Is it a poorly made film?
