Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Chad Dimera (Billy Flynn) has struggled for the past two years since the murder of his wife Abigail Dimera (Marci Miller). Although it wasn’t clear immediately who the culprit was, the killer turned out to be Clyde Weston (James Read).
Clyde had only recently been released from prison and seemed to have turned over a new leaf. He even started a sweet romance with Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo). But none of it was real, and Abigail paid the price.
Days Of Our Lives spoilers – Chad Dimera Almost Killed Clyde Weston!
Chad was beside himself once he found out and almost executed Clyde. But Ej DIMera (Dan Feuerriegel) stopped Chad from killing Clyde. Chad relented and took some comfort in the fact that Clyde was going to prison for a very long time.

Days of our Lives spoilers for next week’s episodes of the hit Peacock soap opera tease so much chaos erupting in Salem.
As fall kicks off, big things are happening on the daytime drama, and November sweeps are right around the corner.
One hot-button storyline involves Orpheus (George DelHoyo) injecting Kate (Lauren Koslow), Marlena (Deidre Hall), and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans).
Things take a turn next week. Rex (Kyle Lowder) returns to town with an answer that might save his mother but not Kayla or Marlena. It sounds like Orpheus poisoned them with different deadly toxins, which is not surprising.
Meanwhile, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) is livid that Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla kept her out of the loop.
That’s just a glimpse of what’s going down in Salem. Let’s take a look at the other must-see Days moments for next week.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) released its 2020-2021 Transparency Report, a document that aims to provide context, insight, and visibility into submission, judging, and dispute adjudication and resolution processes for the Daytime, News & Documentary, and Sports Emmy Award competitions.
NATAS first released a transparency report in 2019, sparked by a 2018 Daytime Emmy awards disaster that saw the organization fail to vet submissions in accordance with its own rules and resulted in the revocation of Patrika Darbo’s Daytime Emmy win for “The Bay,” due to ineligibility.
Though the last report was published in 2019, it appears that NATAS intends to continue distribution of its studies on an annual basis, doubling up this year in light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. That said, the results of the latest report should reflect the actions taken in light of the lessons learned from 2019. Some of those actions include newly implemented rules seen...

Courtney Hope is departing Los Angeles for Genoa City. The former star of “The Bold and the Beautiful” posted a photo of herself on Instagram on August 20 wearing “The Young and the Restless” apparel with the caption, “This seems like a good fit.” Daytime Confidential subsequently confirmed that the actress is making the move from one soap to the other.
Hope first arrived on “B&b” in 2017 as Sally Spectra, the grandniece of a fashion mogul also named Sally Spectra and the granddaughter of Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo). The younger Sally was so obsessed with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) that she pretended to be dying in order to keep him with her, and even kidnapped the woman he really loved, Flo (Katrina Bowden). Suffice it to say that didn’t pan out.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has released a “transparency report” for the recently concluded 46th Daytime Emmys, revealing five separate judging irregularities and four nomination challenges — and how they handled each dispute.
According to NATAS, this reps the first transparency report to be published by the org — or any similar major awards entity, to the best of its knowledge. The report comes a year after a Daytime Emmys awards debacle rocked the organization and led to a threatened boycott by TV’s major daytime soap operas.
NATAS president and CEO Adam Sharp first joined the org last year in the midst of that scandal, which came after Patrika Darbo’s 2018 win in the digital daytime drama guest star category was revoked over a submission snafu. NATAS then found errors in a back-up winner’s submission, and opted not to award anyone in the category.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) — the East Coast counterpart to the Los Angeles-based Television Academy — is shuffling its leadership, which includes switching who oversees production of its most visible event, the Daytime Emmy Awards.
Under the reorganization, one executive will now oversee the production of all of NATAS' key awards shows, including the Daytime Emmys, which will be separate from the administration of those awards. Steve Ulrich has now been elevated senior vice president, production and events, a newly-created position in which he will handle the planning and production of the Daytime, Sports, News & Documentary, and Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards ceremonies, plus the National Student Production Awards and other events.
For the Daytime Emmys, that means David Michaels, who has served as senior vice president of the Daytime Emmys and Events, as well as executive producer of the Daytime Emmys, is departing. Michaels had been in...

Code blue: “General Hospital” was the evening’s big winner at the Daytime Emmy Awards, with five awards, followed by “The Young and the Restless,” with three, and culinary series “Valerie’s Home Cooking” with two. Syndicated series led the night with seven wins overall, followed by ABC and CBS with five each.
“CBS Sunday Morning” won for best morning program, beating “Good Morning America” (which had previously won two in a row), while “Ellen DeGeneres” once again grabbed the talk show entertainment category over last year’s winner, “The Talk.”
Perhaps the most emotional win of the night, however: “Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek, who recently revealed his battle with pancreatic cancer, won for outstanding game show host.

A year after an awards debacle rocked the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and nearly took down the Daytime Emmys, the organization has instituted new rules that officials hope have made this year’s proceedings fairer. One major one was to stop the practice of posting acting reel submissions from some key categories online.
Five years ago NATAS instituted the practice of sharing the clips with the hopes of building “fan excitement for the telecast and engagement on social media,” NATAS president and CEO Adam Sharp tells Variety. But, instead, NATAS felt it wound up providing competitors in certain categories a weapon to potentially take down a rival, if the organization had missed a submission error.
Not all categories were posted online, leading some entrants to face additional scrutiny by the public, while others didn’t. Last year, competitors’ scrutiny of the guest performer in a digital...

The four network daytime dramas will not be boycotting next year’s Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony as they’d threatened to in July. In an unprecedented show of unity, after being dissatisfied with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ response to screw-ups during this year’s awards show, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless banded together this summer to present a list of complaints and demands for changes that prompted NATAS to commission an investigation by an outside counsel. The report from that review was put out November 8.
“The four daytime dramas are in receipt of NATAS’ internal investigation report and recommendations moving forward,” a spokesperson of the four series said in a statement to Deadline. “As a group, we are not in agreement with all of the conclusions that NATAS reached. The Television Academy’s board of governors has voted vice chairman Frank Scherma to become its new chairman and CEO, a post he will take over from the outgoing Hayma Washington. The election was held Thursday night at a board meeting at which the TV Academy’s annual officer elections were also held.
Scherma, the president of RadicalMedia whose producer credits include music documentaries, Errol Morris’ The Fog of War, Broadway’s Shrek the Musical and IFC TV’s Stan Against Evil, was the lone candidate to step forward by the deadline when Washington said in October he would not seek a second term. Washington was the first African-American leader in the organization’s 70-year history.
The incoming chairman will serve a two-year term beginning January 1, 2019. Additional incoming officers elected Thursday include Steve Venezia, Vice Chair; Tim Gibbons, Second Vice Chair; Sharon Lieblein, Secretary; Allison Binder, Treasurer; and Mitch Waldow,...

An investigation into the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ handling of the Daytime Emmy Awards has found a competition that was rife with irregularities and the potential for favoritism in the nominations and final judging process.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences commissioned a probe by the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth to review its procedures and practices after challenges were made to two of this year’s Daytime Emmy winners on eligibility grounds.
The 20-page report paints a picture of an overworked NATAS staff that became “sloppy” in the application of its own rules for the Daytime Emmy competition. The explosion in programming as spurred a nearly 30% rise during the past few years in the number of submissions for the annual daytime TV competition. Happy Wednesday, "Bold And The Beautiful" fans. Today's November 7, 2018 episode featured a couple of interesting scenes. The episode kicked off with Bill telling Justin he knows Ridge must have had something to do with judge McMullen's decision to rule against him in the Will custody case. Justin tried to tell Bill that they don't have enough information to be sure if Ridge influenced judge McMullen. From there, Bill ordered Justin to keep digging around for more evidence. Bill also told Justin he thinks he can break down Brooke's resistance of telling him what she knows. Judging from Brooke's distraught attitude during the entire episode, I would say Bill might possibly be right. Brooke couldn't hide from anyone that's she's clearly disturbed by all the recent, questionable decisions Ridge has been making. At one point, Brooke looked so upset that Steffy thought she might be upset about Hope and her almost...

The four remaining broadcast soaps – “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of Our Lives,” “General Hospital,” and “The Young and the Restless” – have joined forces by sending a letter to the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, expressing their lack of confidence in NATAS’ current administration.
The four soaps are so serious about their concerns that they are threatening to not participate in future Daytime Emmy Awards unless these issues are addressed.

Terry O’Reilly and interim president and CEO Adam Sharp, is in response to the recent gaffe, in which Patrika Darbo’s 2018 Daytime Emmy for her guest-starring role on Amazon’s soap opera The Bay was rescinded after NATAS found submission errors in her and other categories. Indie Series Award winner Arianne Zucker is front and center in the second season of Ladies of the Lake, now streaming on Amazon, and the digital drama is more enthralling than ever.
Jessica Morris and Marie Wilson return as Crystal Amhurst and Morgan Firestone, the remaining Ladies of the Lake who are facing the consequences of getting away with murder. Both characters are more relatable in the new episodes. Zucker's Lisa Roth (Clara in Season 1) has infiltrated the group and is now living with Crystal. Her outstanding performance turns the hellbent on revenge guest-starring role into a strong but sympathetic leading lady. Joining the fun are General Hospital's Kathleen Gati as Crystal's mother, Margaret Cranston; Gh's Marc Anthony Samuel as Clara's husband, Teddy DuPree; and Days of our Lives' Robert Scott Wilson as Clara's step-brother, Ethan Wyatt. Gati brings the comedy, while Samuel and Wilson add the sexy and intensity to the mix.

The drama behind the scenes of the Daytime Emmys is getting as juicy as the soaps they honor.
At least three top daytime veterans on Monday called for a boycott of the event after the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ recent decision to revoke the awards of two actresses over submissions errors, while allowing a male actor who committed a similar infraction to keep his.
Emmy-nominated producer Michael Caruso, Emmy-winning director and producer Sonia Blangiardo and Emmy-winning actress and producer Crystal Chappell told TheWrap that they “are not willing to participate in future Emmy competitions” until NATAS agrees to an outside audit of all submission reels in the digital series category and clears up the underlying issues about submissions.
“That is an insult to our creative teams and we are no longer willing to look the other way,” they said in a joint statement.

“All My Children” alum Jennifer Bassey has accused the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences of “gender bias” after her Daytime Emmy award was revoked over a rule violation.
When the awards were first handed out back in April, Patrika Darbo was awarded the statue for guest actress in a digital series, but it was subsequently determined that she was ineligible because she had previously appeared on the program, and because her submission reel featured clips from more than one episode, a violation of NATAS rules.
Bassey, who received the second-most votes in the category, was then notified that she would receive the award instead. However, it was later discovered that Bassey’s reel also featured clips from more than one episode, and her award was revoked as well. NATAS announced on June 1 that no Emmy would be awarded in the category.

Patrika Darbo, who had her Daytime Emmy recently revoked by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, has broken her silence on losing her award.
Darbo earned a statue for her role as Mickey Walker on “The Bay” in the guest performer in a digital daytime drama series category at the 45th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards held in April. Producers of “The Bay” had submitted her in that category, but that submission contained two violations, according to NATAS. In addition to having previously appeared on the show, her reel contained material from more than one episode, when rules state it should be from a single episode. After the submission error came to light, NATAS revoked her Emmy, and decided not to award it to another performer.
In a statement released Monday, Darbo said although she is disappointed to have her honor taken away, her focus is on the larger picture,...

Patrika Darbo, whose Daytime Emmy for her guest-starring role on Amazon’s soap opera The Bay was rescinded after organizer the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences found submission errors in her and other categories, has called out the group for its actions and wants an outside audit “to restore integrity and confidence in” the awards.
NATAS said after the Daytime Emmys were handed out in April that it discovered “some entrants’ submissions in two categories may have been in violation of the published guidelines for the competition,” which state that prior-season appearances are disqualifying.
But Darbo says in an open letter today that NATAS knew about the submission errors “two days prior to the ceremony and made a conscious decision not to deal with it until after the ceremony was over.” She says the organization’s “arbitrary and after-the-fact ruling feels inequitable and wrong.” (Read the letter in full below.

Statement By Actress Patrika Darbo Regarding Having Her Daytime Emmy Rescinded By NATAS
As disappointed as I am about having my Daytime Emmy taken back by NATAS, as a Co-Governor of the Performers Peer Group at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles, overseeing the Primetime Emmys, I am more concerned about how this incident tarnishes the Emmy brand.
