Eleanor Abbey was born on April 25, 1890. She was a costume designer, known for Sea Fury (1958), Dangerous Exile (1957) and Hungry Hill (1947). She was married to Abbey, Edwin and Cummings, Bruce Frederick. She died on November 26, 1979.
Her first husband, Bruce Frederick Cummings, worked at the British Museum in the natural history department, but he is best remembered for his book, "The Journal of a Disappointed Man" published under the pseudonym W. N. P. Barbellion.
