Where aren’t you Hugh? TNT has announced that its annual Christmas in Washington special will be hosted by Hugh Jackman. The holiday concert special will air on December 20th at 8:00 p.m. (Et/Pt), and will feature some very special performers, including: Anna Kendrick, Sheryl Crow, Backstreet Boys, and more.
This has long been one of my favorite holiday traditions, and has offered up some of the most entertaining performers, and all-around enjoyable evenings for years.
That tradition continues (well, quite frankly, I’m not a fan of Backstreet Boys) this year with not only some great performances, but you can’t go wrong with Hugh Jackman running your show, whatever it is. Right? I can’t wait for Sheryl Crow, Anna Kendrick is a surprisingly awesome singer, and you don’t want to miss Pat Monahan.
Catch all the info below, and let me know if you’ll be tuning in.

Glee went to a dark place this week. They've done that before, and created some of the show's best episodes in the process. Despite a few notable highs, this wasn't one of those times.
To summarize: Kurt was adorable in gold lamé pants, Dot Marie Jones was impossibly good as Shannon Beiste, Tina had dialogue and got to sing, Blaine was funny, there were three good songs, and can I please, please not have to write this recap? This episode made me want to lie down on my bed and cry and sob and never get up.
Everything is just terrible in Lima this week. Coach Beiste is being beaten up by her husband, and she says she's leaving him and everyone is supporting her and then she goes back to him, and Rachel chokes at her audition and cries and cries and cries, and at first I didn't care...

New York -- Hugh Jackman has left Broadway with a lot of broken hearts – and records.
The hunky Australian actor's one-man Broadway concert show closed on Sunday afternoon at the Broadhurst Theatre after having earned $2,057,354 in its final week, the highest weekly gross recorded by the Shubert Organization, which owns the Broadhurst and 16 other Broadway theaters.
Over its 10-week run, Jackman earned a whopping $14,638,428, producers said. He now owns 10 of the 11 top grossing weeks at the Broadhurst..
Jackman, best known for being the hairy Wolverine in "The X-Men" franchise, routinely sold out the 1,176-seat theater and usually posted weekly grosses of $1.5 million, often higher than rival musicals such as "Jersey Boys," "Mama Mia!" "How to Succeed in Business," "Anything Goes" and "Follies."
Only "Wicked" and "The Lion King," produced by other organizations, consistently outdid Jackman. But those shows also had much higher overhead costs.

On Jan. 1, Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway will end its 10-week run, and the only thing those lucky enough to have seen it will have left is their souvenir coffee mugs. Actually, that’s not true. The coffee mugs are already sold out. It’s fitting that Jackman closes the show with Peter Allen’s “Once Before I Go,” which includes the lyric “But unless I spread my wings again, I’m afraid I’ll never soar, so hang on to the memories and hold me close once more,” because that’s exactly what you want to do it...

Baseball fan Hugh Jackman received a written reprimand from the director of his hit Broadway show The Boy From Oz after dashing offstage to get the New York Yankees' score for theatregoers.
The movie star had only just started previews for the musical when he chose to halt the show one night and let fans know if the Yankees had made it to the World Series.
He recalls, "It was game seven of the Yankees right before the World Series (sic). I was looking out into the audience and I could see all these guys thinking, 'Damn it! I said I'd take my wife to see The Boy From Oz about Peter Allen and it's game seven!'
"So I said, 'I know what you're thinking; who's winning the baseball?' And the crowd goes mental and I could see all the guys wake up. I said, 'Let me find out for you boys.' So I literally ran offstage, into my dressing room and, being a baseball fan, I had it on TV.
"The stage manager is running after me: 'What the f**k are you doing?' I said, 'Hang on, let me get the score.' I ran back down and gave the audience the score."
But the sporting gesture didn't go down well with the show's director.
Jackman tells WENN, "I got a letter the next day from the director saying that it was completely unprofessional and wrong... I wrote back, 'You weren't there, man.'"...

Hugh Jackman is planning to sing at a series of concerts in London later this year – and he wants Robbie Williams to join him
The Australian actor is set to put on the "fun" gigs when he takes a break from starring in the film version of musical 'Les Miserables' – which sees him play the central character of former convict Jean Valjean – and he has been taking inspiration from late American swing singer Frank Sinatra's Los Angeles performances.
And Hugh is hoping the Take That singer – who previously released ‘Swing When You’re Winning’, which was comprised of tracks which are part of the Great American Songbook – will duet with him on stage.

Universal is dreaming a dream of Hugh Jackman. The Australian actor, whom the studio wanted for its "Snow White and the Huntsman," is in talks with the studio to star in a film version of "Les Miserables," TheWrap has confirmed. One good reason for him to take the part: Tom Hooper. The director of last year's "The King's Speech" is adapting the musical version of Victor Hugo's novel. Jackman has Broadway credibility. He hosted the Tony Awards three times and played Peter Allen in "The Boy From Oz." It's not clear whether Jackman would play...

Coldplay was accused of plagiarism before, back in 2008 by Joe Satriani, for ripping off his riff in their sentimental anthem, "Viva La Vida." Their latest single, "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall," faced the same accusations when people realized it has the same cheesy melody and beat as a 1990 dance track called "Ritmo de la Noche," by Mystic.
Not only is Coldplay's new summer single, "pseudo-inspirational claptrap" as IFC's Grayson Currin called it, but it doesn't have an original note in it. In fact the song, "Ritmo de la Noche" that "Teardrop" is rips off, is in turn a rehashing of Australian impresario, Peter Allen's, "I go to Rio," co-written with Adrienne Anderson.
But is it actually plagiarism? No, Vulture points out, Coldplay's Chris Martin was inspired to write the song after watching the film, "Biutiful" by Alejandro González Iñárritu. In the film, there is scene that takes place in...

The single that Coldplay announced at the end of last month is officially out for digital sale. "I turn the music on/ I've got my records on/ From underneath the rubble, sing a rebel song," frontman Chris Martin crooned in "Every Tear is a Waterfall".
The song is first single from their upcoming not-yet-titled album which Martin has described as an album filled with songs "about life, the good stuff, the bad stuff, everything." Brian Eno and Markus Dravs who worked on the band's last album "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends" come back as the new album's producers.
