James Andelin voiceover artist and actor, Andelin landed one of his
first radio roles at about age 12 for a show called Skippy, the part
led to a long career in Chicago radio, including voiceover parts in
Little Orphan Annie and Jack Armstrong. He died of congestive heart
failure and emphysema in Chicago, Illinois on December 27, 2006.
Andelin also was an entertainer in the U.S. Army during World War II
and performed with actors such as Mickey Rooney.
The son of German opera singers, Andelin lived most of his life in
Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
