- (1935 - 1939) Baker performed on the Jack Benny radio program. He eventually became the singer on the Fred Allen radio program. He was replaced on the Jack Benny program in 1939 by Dennis Day.
- (1946) He recorded the first album of selections from Victor Herbert's "Babes in Toyland", for Decca Records. It later appeared on LP and was recently released on CD.
