The Conference is a mystery horror film directed by Patrik Eklund, who also co-wrote the film with Thomas Moldestad and Mats Strandberg. The film revolves around a team-building conference for municipal employees, but things go batshit crazy when rumors of corruption plague everyone and a mysterious person starts killing the employees. So, if you loved the Netflix film here are some similar movies you could watch next.

It is often said that fight scenes in films are more akin to dances than actual combat. It is a sentiment that Clayton Barber certainly supports. “It truly is a violent ballet,” the American tells The Independent, while reflecting on his 30-year career in film and television – a career in which he has worked as a choreographer, stuntman and actor.
In recent years, two of his most prominent choreography credits have come on 2015’s Rocky spin-off Creed, and the series’ newest instalment Creed 3. Upon its release this month, the third instalment of the spin-off trilogy secured the most successful opening weekend in the history of the Rocky franchise, and it has gone on to gross $182m worldwide at the time of writing.
The film, like Creed and 2018’s Creed 2, stars Michael B Jordan in the lead role of Adonis Creed, and it also marks the 36-year-old’s directorial debut.

This interview contains very light spoilers for "Creed III."
It's been eight years since the underdog boxer Donnie Johnson, aka Adonis Creed (played by Michael B. Jordan), first appeared on cinema screens in "Creed," honoring his father Apollo Creed's name by adopting and eventually embracing that fraught family name. While Donnie trained and fought with Rocky Balboa in his corner, he always had an eye on forging his own legacy, away from both his father and his trainer-cum-uncle.
"Creed III" represents that promise fulfilled both in front of and behind the camera, as Jordan steps into the role of director for the first time in his career. Jordan's elevation to the director's chair is about as far away from an ego trip as one could imagine. Not only does he utilize the film's ensemble cast well, giving them copious moments to shine, but he pushes the "Creed" series -- and,...

"Reboot," Steve Levitan's snarky meta sitcom about a TV series that gets rebooted two decades after its abrupt cancellation, has been canceled. While I'd like to believe that this is all an elaborate scheme to announce a reboot of "Reboot" and make life imitate art, this isn't a bit. Hulu has officially pulled the plug on the short-lived comedy.
During its eight-episode first season, "Reboot" told the story of "Step Right Up," an early 2000s family sitcom being rebooted by Hulu for a new generation. That clever conceit paved the way for plenty of jokes poking fun at the industry through a disgruntled writers' room, an ongoing war with the Hulu executives, and the general insanity of actors navigating the press cycle, Hollywood expectations, and the changing nature of comedy. Plus, it was all wrapped up with the comfortable bow of a workplace comedy. The series starred Keegan-Michael Key,...

News of Reboot‘s cancellation at Hulu was met with obvious frustration from co-star Johnny Knoxville, who called the axing “pretty unbelievable” in a social media post on Monday.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I say that despite getting great reviews and being nominated for a critics choice award @hulu has failed to pick up Reboot even for a second season. Pretty unbelievable,” Knoxville wrote in an Instagram caption. “Working on this show has been one of the great highlights of my life, and I wanted to thank @stevelevitan and the entire stellar cast for allowing me to be part of this show.

Johnny Knoxville took to social media to mourn the cancellation of “Reboot,” which Hulu announced it would not pick up for a second season on Monday.

Reboot will not be returning for a second season on Hulu.
Steve Levitan's show-within-a-show has been canceled after one season on the service.
The series picks up when An early 2000s family sitcom is rebooted, and the dysfunctional cast must deal with their unresolved issues in today's fast-changing world.
Reboot starred Calum Worthy as Zack, Johnny Knoxville as Clay Barber, Judy Greer as Bree Marie Larson, Keegan-Michael Key as Reed Sterling, Krista Marie Yu as Elaine, Paul Reiser as Gordon, and Rachel Bloom as Hannah.
The series had decent reviews from critics, managing an approval rating of 88.
Hulu has not addressed the cancellation, but given that the freshman season wrapped with multiple cliffhangers, the meta-comedy could return elsewhere.
Deadline reports another streamer may have asked to view scripts for the potential second season.
Levitan shed light on the decision to make the show during TCA last year.

In Hulu’s “Reboot,” a meta comedy from “Modern Family” creator Steven Levitan, Johnny Knoxville plays edgy stand-up comedian Clay Barber. After multiple stints in jail, he gets the chance to reprise his role in a wholesome family sitcom after, yes, Hulu, decides to reboot it 20 years later.
Unlike Clay, Knoxville is “very good” at dubbing lines and is — at least according to his co-star Keegan-Michael Key — “an absolute gentleman.” But the 51-year-old actor and stuntman admits that there’s “more than a little” of himself in his character. Both were branded as bad boys and lived fast lifestyles in the public eye. Eventually, Knoxville had to cool off, and in the cleverly named “Reboot,” Clay works to turn his life around and stay sober.
Speaking about his own journey, Knoxville tells Variety, “I had to slow down. I was running hot. You’re a fool if you live like...

Coming off the greatest success of his career, an award-winning writer and producer chooses an ambitious follow-up project carrying both a personal and professional edge. It’s exactly what you want to see from a sharp-minded, well-liked creator like Steven Levitan: Rather than rest on his laurels or repeat himself, the “Modern Family” engineer set his mind to a topical, tricky TV show in “Reboot,” a Hulu series about an early aught broadcast sitcom that gets a present-day revival… at Hulu. The fictional comedy’s original cast even returns, along with its creator, and the group has to navigate rekindling romances, generational divides, and matters of family, all while guiding the new-and-improved version of “Step Right Up” to success in the age of streaming.

Do you have a disdain for reboots of old sitcoms? Do you love it when a dated comedy series is retooled to be appropriate for modern audiences? Well, in either case, I suppose there is an upcoming show made just for you.
Hailing from Hulu, "Reboot" follows a dysfunctional cast that must deal with the fact that their early 2000s family sitcom "Step Right Up" is being rebooted for a new generation. Keegan-Michael Key headlines the series alongside Judy Greer, playing a former couple that reluctantly reunites to bring their old show back on the air (streaming in this case). Reboots are so trendy they're now the inspiration for a new Hulu comedy. That's right, on Aug. 23, the streamer released the official trailer for the new series by Modern Family creator Steven Levitan, titled Reboot. The series follows the cast of a beloved '00s sitcom—played by Keegan-Michael Key, Judy Greer, Johnny Knoxville and Calum Worthy—as they come together to revive their once forgotten hit. And, if the new trailer is to be believed, Reboot isn't afraid to poke fun at the industry one bit. "According to Wikipedia, Clay Barber (Knoxville); drug charge and disorderly conduct," one unconvinced Hulu executive states in the first look. "Bree Marie Jensen (Greer)...

There’s nothing unusual about Hollywood recycling old sitcoms – and even dramas – for new audiences. But Hulu’s new Reboot comedy series takes it a step further, creating a series about the behind-the-scenes shenanigans surrounding the reunion of a fictional sitcom cast for a reboot.
Steve Levitan created the series and serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. “After working thirty years in TV comedy, this is both my love letter to sitcoms and, if I’m being honest, much-needed therapy,” said Levitan, describing his new comedy.

In Barry Levinson’s HBO film The Survivor, Ben Foster plays Harry Haft, who survived the concentration camps of Auschwitz by winning life-and-death boxing matches with other prisoners orchestrated by Nazis.
The director and star have a long-standing collaborative relationship — Levinson cast the actor in his first film role, in 1999’s Liberty Heights. The Oscar-winning director tapped Foster’s talents again for one of the most physically and emotionally grueling parts imaginable: Over the course of filming, Foster dropped 62 pounds to portray a concentration camp prisoner authentically, gaining the weight back in a matter of weeks to shoot Haft as he appeared later in life. Disney/Marvel’s Black Panther won the marquee film ensemble prize Sunday at the 25th annual SAG Awards, topping a loaded field of fellow Oscar nominees and making it a serious contender for next month’s Academy Awards.
“It’s a pleasure to be celebrated by you, to be loved by you,” star Chadwick Boseman said to conclude a rousing speech onstage at the Shrine Auditorium. “And you know you can’t have a Black Panther now without a ‘two’ on it,” — a reference to a pending sequel to the pic, which grossed $1.35 billion this year.
Sunday’s kudos were the first chance since last week’s Oscar nominations for those in the race to establish frontrunner status. Most single-shot sequences, aren’t. What you’d swear are single takes are actually seamless edits — but that doesn’t dilute their mind-bending power. Even better: one-take action sequences like the third-act corker in “Atomic Blonde,” which sees Charlize Theron battling scads of baddies in a longform, long-take sequence designed to look like a single shot.
David Deitch’s film is filled with heart-pounding action scenes (Theron cracked multiple teeth while filming the Cold War-set Berlin spy thriller), but it’s that big final battle that action fans will remember. And while “Atomic Blonde” feels fresh, the sequence takes plenty of cues from single-shots that have come before.

Creed continues to be a box office success and a favorite with audiences and critics. Globally Ryan Coogler’s film has passed the $100 million mark since its initial opening this fall.
The film reunites Coogler with his Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed, and explores a new chapter in the Rocky story, starring Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone in his iconic role.
For the director, there was no question that Creed would be set in Philadelphia, where it all began. And for the filmmakers, there was no doubt that principal photography would be accomplished there as well. In order to bridge the two films artistically, Coogler brought together the talented creative team of costume designers Emma Potter (“Song One”) and Antoinette Messam (“Orphan”) and his “Fruitvale Station” team: editors Michael P. Shawver and Claudia Castello; production designer Hannah Beachler; and composer Ludwig Goransson.

There's a lot of talk around "Creed" at moment, from how the film has revitalized the "Rocky" franchise to whispers of an Oscar campaign for Sylvester Stallone's performance. That aside, the film isn't just a crowd-pleasing success, but also a great piece of showmanship from director Ryan Coogler, who, in his first major studio effort, drops in a single take fight sequence that had many talking about it afterward. In a new "Anatomy Of A Scene" featurette for The New York Times, he details the work that went into putting that scene together. Read More: Review: Ryan Coogler's 'Creed' Starring Michael B. Jordan And Sylvester Stallone "...we decided three weeks out from production and it was a team effort," the director reveals about when they settled on the ambitious approach to the fight. "I worked with a great stunt coordinator named Clayton Barber and a great cinematographer,...

During this year's San Diego Comic Con I had a chance to meet and hang out for director Ryan Coogler as he and I were in the same panel over the summer, and we were just talking shop and just being fans of film. Now a few weeks ago I had a chance to talk to Coogler again about his upcoming film "Creed". The film reunites Coogler with his “Fruitvale Station” star Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed, and explores a new chapter in the “Rocky” story, starring Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone in his iconic role.
Here is what he had to say about the film.
My question is, was it you who come up with the idea to do some sort of like back story to Apollo Creed? How did this all come about? How did you plan the script?
Ryan Coogler: Yeah, it was my idea.

// Everyone loves a good martial arts movie. One where two guys (or girls) face off against each other in a battle to see who's the best. Or it could be one lone warrior against many. Whatever it is, martial art and fighting movies have been around for a long time and will continue to be around as long as people have the money to pay or rent a movie where some dude kicks another dude right in his face. Speaking of fight films, Undisputed III is the second sequel about a fighting tournament that takes place in a prison. What's so great about the Undisputed films is, each one has been better than the last. Scott Adkins returns as Boyka, the bad guy from Undisputed II who was defeated by George Chambers (Michael Jai White). Suffering from a bum knee at the hands of George, Boyka is now a janitor who no longer fights.
