Kiefer Sutherland treated patrons at a famed Hollywood strip club to an awesome topless dance. Sutherland hit up Cheetahs earlier this month and had an "I can do that!" moment ... ripping off his shirt and jumping onstage with the dancers. It looks like he's wearing a t-shirt in the pic but that's not a sleeve ... it's a tat. The pic was taken after Mr. Bauer took a bow. As for the money on the ground ... Kiefer was awesome,...

It was bound to happen sooner or later. I mean, you just cannot keep Jack Bauer down, no matter how hard you try. Today, Fox has closed a deal with Kiefer Sutherland to return to his role as Bauer for a limited series of 24.
Fox is really making a push for these so-called ‘event series’ – it also just greenlit M. Night Shyamalan’s Wayward Pines, starring Matt Dillon as a Secret Service agent. But the return of Bauer is unsurprising. 24 was mammothly successful, despite its sometimes controversial treatment of little things like torture. When the 24 movie fizzled – what did happen with that? – it was really only a matter of time before Bauer et al returned to the small screen.
What do they have in store for us? Fox President Kevin Reilly told New York Daily News that the new 24 will actually be more like 12, as it takes place over 12 hours.

“This is a free country,” says Mr. Bauer, Hell on Wheel’s resident butcher as Bohannan tells him to get out of town. With possibly the first laugh we’ve heard Bohannan utter, he states, “that’s about the funniest damn thing I’ve ever heard.” The people of Hell on Wheels have the freedom to go where they want, leave whenever they want to, but most of them are outcasts that have escaped their communities to try and find something better. They are free to go wherever they want, but most of them have nowhere else to go and if they try to leave, they’ll likely either be murdered or find their way back, much like Bohannan has. “Slaughterhouse” shows an ever-increasing level of evil to the camp as many characters show the layers to themselves, especially the darkness underneath.

It's just a week until Jack Bauer, '24's' all-time greatest hero, bids TV land adieu, and, call us crazy, we're actually going to feel a little less safe in the real world without our fictional good guy to wrangle the baddies. But Jack, of course, hasn't handled the villains alone, so here's our list of five other heroic types who've given Mr. Bauer an assist or two along the way.
Tony Almeida
(Played by Carlos Bernard)
'24' seasons: 1-5, 7
Why he's one of the good guys: Yes, ultimately, when last we saw him, Tony had definitely taken a turn for the evil (really Tony, killing poor Larry Moss?). But his decision to walk on the wicked side aside, for most of his years on the show, he was Jack's right-hand-man in heroic adventures. He, like Jack, was betrayed by the naughty Nina Meyers, but still...

Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) chances at a happy ending are pretty abysmal these days, but watching these last episodes of 24 is nothing short of watching one of Chuck Norris' Missing in Action flicks. It's bloody. It's ludicrous. And it's absolutely awesome. It would've be hard to envision 24 ending with such sloppy regard for reality (i.e. Jack gutting Pavel in 30 seconds flat to remove a Sim card from his stomach), but watching Mr. Bauer get his sweet revenge has become a weekly guilty pleasure this Spring. Yup, Jack is officially off the reservation and he's padding his kill count stats like never before. And just like the end of Season 5, it's time to hunt down Charles Logan. Given all that Jack has done since Renee died, it is beyond comprehension that he could off Logan for good? Can the entire conspiracy be brought to its knees? ...

Job. King Lear. Kenny from South Park. When it comes to tragedy, none of them have anything on Jack Bauer. Every move he makes is with the good of others in mind, but when it comes to Mr. Bauer karma's always on a holiday. The question has been in the back of my mind throughout 24's run, but it's really come to the fore with news that this is the final season: Will Jack ever find happiness?
24 has never wanted to be the typical action TV series where the hero beats the bad guys and gets the girl without so much as a scratch on his ruggedly handsome face. Think Sophie had a tough choice? Literally every day of Jack's life he's had to compromise the safety of someone he holds dear in order to keep the rest of the world safe. That's the path he accepted, and that's part...

Here at TVOvermind, we often receive material from the networks that, out of good conscience, we cannot share with our readers. For instance, last week I got my grubby paws on the first five minutes from the Season 8 premiere of '24,' airing tonight at 9/8c. The whole "good conscience" thing prohibits me from posting it, but as I am an individual of mediocre conscience, I'll give you a play-by-play. But caution! There be spoilers in this article.
The camera tracks the New York City skyline in the early dawn hours as the digital clock, reading "6:00:00" beeps across the screen. Street vendors bustle about, taxi cabs dash by pedestrians whilst horns blare. The camera moves down 7th Avenue until it settles upon a steel and glass building the Garment District. The camera stops, focused on the front door. The dull roar of the city quiets for a moment...

There's a new sheriff at CTU, my friends, and you're about to get acquainted with him.
"24" busts back into our living rooms with a brand new season this Sunday (Jan. 17) and the man now running the show is Mr. Brian Hastings.
Mykelti Williamson, who plays Hastings, says his character is a hard nut to crack and a total control freak.
In fact, as you'll see in the clip below, Hastings' compulsion to control manifests itself in the design of the new CTU Headquarters... easily the coolest CTU set we've seen to date.
What else should you know about Hastings?
Well, he and Jack are not friends. But Williamson says Brian Hastings has a reason for butting heads with Jack and insists that the audience, too, will be questioning Mr. Bauer this season: "[Hastings] is pretty aggressive and he and the Jack Bauer character don't really see eye-to-eye. They don't really like each other,...

Although the name Freddie Prinze Jr. might be synonymous with cheeky teen romantic comedies, the actor has been cast in the upcoming eighth season of 24, which began production yesterday, though it won’t premiere until Jan. 17, 2010. Prinze will be a regular in the role of Davis Cole, a recently returned Marine who runs CTU Field Ops and views Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) as a kind of mentor. The announcement has already started buzz that Prinze may be the new young stud to take the place of Jack Bauer, and carry on the torch for 24. However, a closer look reveals that this is hardly the first time the show has introduced a strapping young lad with a grand “Jack Bauer” career path.
Chase Edmunds (James Badge Dale) and Mike Doyle (Ricky Schroder) were both introduced in the past, with the air of one day replacing Mr. Bauer surrounding their characters, though...

Last week on 24: Ethan got in some serious trouble for allowing Jack to go free. Mr. Bauer has supposedly racked up a body count of two thus far: Ryan Burnett and Senator Mayer, both of whom were actually killed by Quinn. Jack’s only responsible for one death, as Mr. Quinn (of the para-military organization, Starkwood) was made a point of (hee, geddit?) by Jack’s Redneck Car Key. Olivia’s still bitchy, and Walker’s in custody for working with Jack. Jon…...

Good news for 24 fans! Executive producer Howard Gordon has just confirmed the eighth season is most definitely coming—and soon! Says Gordon, "We're gearing up for a May start date. I'm with the writers now just putting our heads together, coming up with an idea. Unless we fail to come up with an idea that's satisfactory, you'll see an eighth season." Holler! And if that weren't exciting enough, Annie Wersching is confirmed to return next season, which might mean some lovin' for Mr. Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), except that Gordon also teased a shocking death—could it even be Jack Bauer finally kicking the bucket? Survey says: Not yet! While the eighth...
