"The world ends in 15 days. They have 14 days to finish their movie." Lights, camera – action! Good Deed Ent. has revealed an official trailer for the indie comedy film titled The Last Movie Ever Made, made by Arizona-based filmmaker Nathan Blackwell. It originally premiered at the 2023 Phoenix Film Festival and it also played at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival last year. With the world about to end, Marshall convinces a group of friends and strangers to help finish the sci-fi movie he abandoned in high school. He must quickly rekindle old relationships, forge new ones, and lock down some decent equipment (and some costumes) if he has any hope of completing the long-lost epic. Fun times! Starring Adam Rini, Megan Hughes Rini, Craig Curtis, Dallas Teat, & Logan Blackwell. A nice meta riff on what it's like to be a filmmaker with the constant desire to create something amazing. This is stuffed with kooky,...

The Chattanooga Film Festival Conjures First Wave: "Hot on the haunted heels of their tenth-anniversary announcement, organizers of The Chattanooga Film Festival (Cff) have once assembled a first wave of strange and fantastic cinema for their hybrid edition this year.
First up is the North American premiere of a film primed to knock the socks off Cff’s longtime fans - filmmaker Jonas Trukanas‘ perfectly executed Lithuanian slasher We Might Hurt Each Other. Trukanas' briskly paced hoot of a horror film is one of this year’s true standouts and another title presented by Screambox. We Might Hurt Each Other has all the makings of a deeply satisfying cult classic.
Closing out the festival for those attending in person this year is Trim Season, marking the return of filmmaker Ariel Vida, who first attended Cff in 2019 with a secret screening of Vide Noir. Her latest combines a terrific ensemble cast,...

"A web series like nothing you've ever seen."
The web series is the future according to yours truly and a lot of them are undiscovered gems until now! Here's another cool one called Western X. Michael Flores serves as producer, writer and director along with Nathan Blackwell and David Sabal.
This promising web series stars Vernon G. Wells, Dustin Hale, Richard Anderson, Jayson James, Kaily Alissano, Kerry Keepers, Deneen Melody, Angelique Deuitch, Ross Nelson, Ed Vanderlee, Josh Pilsbury, George Velasquez, Cisco Saavedra, Damian Hajjar, Bart Overbey, Ed Gary and Jordan Rio.
With this project being labeled as a Western/Action/Drama/Supernatural, i'm all over it big time!
Synopsis:
On the plains of a desert wasteland, a man known only as X is on the verge of death. Among a pile of dead bodies he awakens, with no memories of his past and hunted by an unknown enemy, he struggles...

The brainchild of award-winning Squishy Studios, produced with EvolutionArts Media, and created by a cast and crew of local independent filmmakers in Phoenix, Arizona, Normally This Weird is the story of newlyweds Vanessa (Lauren Henschen) and Simon (Michael Peterson) moving into their first home together. And while on the outside, their suburban neighborhood looks average...their neighbors are anything but. From eye-patched Swivey Dinkle, to the dark magic practicing Archevils, the couple discovers they are in a place that is...well, it's just normally this weird. I personally have a lot of personal affinity for this show because it instantly reminded me of the short-lived television series Eerie, Indiana, in which a teenage boy is forced to move with his family from the city to a suburban neighborhood and discovers the town is a hub for strangeness. It's a plot ripe with opportunities for fun, something that is important to director/co-writer Nathan Blackwell,...
