Chris Addison is fed up of playing ''pathetic'' characters. The 'Skins' star - who plays ''evil'' college director Professor David Blood in the E4 teen drama series - is tired of always appearing in TV shows and movies as bad guys, and is worried directors have typecast him in such roles because they think he is an ''evil s**t''. Speaking at the UK Premiere of new film 'The Look of Love' at London's Leicester Square last night (15.04.13), Chris - who plays Tony Power, editor of fictional magazine Men Only, in the film - said: ''I'd just like to play...

Chris Addison has said that people are too old for Skins once they are in their 20s. The comedian, who plays Professor David Blood in the E4 show, told Metro that fans of the first series may well have moved on from the drama. Asked if the show gives the youth of Britain a bad name, Addison said: "Not particularly, it's just a drama show. Once you're in your 20s, Skins isn't for you anymore. "This is the sixth series, so there must be people who were 18 when it first came out who are 24 now, who might feel they're too old for it." He added: "If you're older than that you can (more)...

I love the Bloody Cuts films. Since Uncle Creepy gave me the assignment to cover their first film, Lock Up, earlier this year, I've totally fallen for the team's sleek, tight, effective filmmaking. So when I heard the Bloody Cuts team had a new offering for us, I was fawning like a teenage girl over a new issue of Tiger Beat magazine with Justin Bieber on the cover... I'm smitten.
And as much as I loved the first two films, Lock Up and Stitches, the Bloody Cuts team have stepped up their game again with their newest release, Prey.
Starring Fergal Philips, Jessica Blake and David Blood, Prey is another twisting tale. The Bloody Cuts website describes the episode as "...a dark tale of late-night liaisons, nocturnal predators and terrifying revenge..." True on all points!
Scroll down to see the kick-ass retro poster for Prey and enjoy the episode. If you like it,...

I didn't get to see many SXSW short films this year, but I made sure to find time for Pioneer, the latest from Dallas-area filmmaker David Lowery, which won the Narrative Shorts Jury Award at SXSW. Lowery did most of the SXSW 2010 bumpers (the micro-shorts promoting the fest that play before each film), and also directed one of my favorite features of SXSW 2009, St. Nick.
Pioneer premiered at Sundance this year. It's minimalist in setup -- theoretically, a simple bedtime story scene between a father and son. But the film is beautifully shot by David Blood, and the outcome of the short itself will have you thinking for awhile afterward. Myles Brooks plays the little boy, and Will Oldham the dad. It's Brooks's first time onscreen, but Oldham has acted in a number of indie films (Wendy and Lucy, The Guatamalan Handshake) but is also a musician under the name Bonnie Prince Billy.

Chris Addison has praised E4's teen drama Skins. The Thick of It actor, who plays sadistic teacher David Blood in the new series, said that playing his character was a "blast". The 38-year-old told the Nottingham Evening Post: "I was a teenager 20 years previous so in those days it was all top hats and no sex. Being a teenager has changed but the thing that hasn't changed is the persecution. "One of the things I really (more)...
