A Kentucky man allegedly killed five-year-old James Spoonamore and tossed his mother off an 80-foot cliff because of a dispute over $200, police say.
Kentucky State Police detective Charles Brandenburg testified during a preliminary hearing Monday in Jackson County District Court in McKee that suspect Lonnie Belt, 41, was upset that James’ stepfather allegedly stole $200 from him, according to court testimony reported on by Wkyt.
During the hearing, Brandenburg alleged that Belt’s scheme was to hold James and his 29-year-old mother Jessica Durham hostage at his house until he got paid.
Belt allegedly lured the boy and his mother to his house on Sept.

A Kentucky man charged with the murder of a 5-year-old boy allegedly admitted to police that he’d killed the child after tossing the boy’s mother off an 80-foot cliff, People confirms.
Lonnie Belt, 41, allegedly told authorities he “struck the boy in the head multiple times with a metal object,” according to a search warrant affidavit obtained by People.
James Spoonamore was found dead Monday morning — six-tenths of a mile from where his mother was discovered badly injured on Saturday in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky.
“It is pretty bad,” Kentucky State Police Sgt. Joshua Lawson tells People.

TV has changed a Lot in the last 50 years.
The programming that aired from 1966-67 barely resembles what we watch today, but at least a couple of the faces are remotely familiar.
Some of the shows even play on classic TV networks. There are a lot of variety shows, no game shows and plenty of movie nights in the top 40.
Very few of the top shows seem relevant to what is now coined the "swinging sixties." Those folks obviously didn't watch TV!!
Each slide below will at least have the show name (duh), the network on which it aired and the estimated audience out of a total number of households with TVs being a whopping: 55,153,000. Imagine.

There's been rumor and speculation for months, and now it looks as though Maisie Williams really is going to be a part of X-Men: The New Mutants. The update comes after the director of the film, Daniel Boone, tweeted the following image and tagged the young Game of Thrones actress:
Wolfsbane by Mid-World's very own @AshleyRGuillory @Maisie_Williams pic.twitter.com/XskXseRwK2
— Josh Boone (@JoshBooneMovies) February 12, 2017
The implication here is that Williams will be playing the mutant Wolfsbane, who can change into a full wolf or werewolf. Wolfsbane retains her human intellect in either form and was not bitten or anything to get this power...it's just mutant stuff, don't question it.
Williams has been asked about the project before, but couldn't say much other than she would be "excited" to join the project. I know we'd all love to see her in The New Mutants! Let's get some official confirmation here,...

Toyota and VH1 “Save The Music” presented the grants to John Spry Community, Goudy Technology Academy and Daniel Boone Elementary.
At the school-wide assembly held at John Spry Community, a performance by the Chicago rapper Sir the Baptist brought everyone to their feet.
At one point, he invited 30 music students from all three schools to join him on stage to perform a rendition of “Wake Up.”

Life lesson from this week’s Sleepy Hollow: Don’t put off telling your loved ones how you feel about them, because you never know when one of you might get turned into a glowing war beast summoned by a very bad man with an even worse agenda.
So I suppose we all owe Atticus Nevins some gratitude, because if it weren’t for his wild-eyed pursuit of Jenny Mills — aka the walking, talking Shard of Anubis, thanks to her touching the gem barehanded last episode — we’d never get the Joe/Jenny and Ichabod/Abbie tender moments we see in this week’s hour.

After the 800th time it was revealed that Katrina lied to her husband via omission last week, can Ichabod still trust his wife? Have all the her secrets even been revealed? Smart money is on no. But while Crane deals with his marriage crisis, there are other threads unraveling in “And the Abyss Gazes Back.” ******* Ichabod Crane has withstood numerous tortures, but yoga is where he draws the line. Inversions might help Abbie clear her mind and work her buns — a word that is somehow offensive to Crane — but her attempts to teach inner peace to her partner fail miserably. On the plus side, Crane looks good in a modern shirt and with his hair down. But how can Ichabod concentrate on relaxation with Katrina on his mind? Abbie manages to coax a few truths from him: Crane is peeved and hurt by his wife’s actions and would much rather get drunk and forget.

Lest you think I actually prefer to grumble about "The Amazing Race" and can't enjoy a simple, clear and well-constructed Leg? I give you Sunday (May 11) night's installment, "Hei Ho Heidi Ho." Was it perhaps just a bit too dependent on seemingly arbitrary and minor travel misadventures? Well, yes. Both first place and last place for the Leg were determined by very tiny errors of direction. And although there were skill-based elements to the Roadblock, the Detour and a Route Marker task, the advantages gained or time lost ended up being deceptively minor. But the tasks were fun, regionally specific and they were all designed to showcase the personalities of the contestants and I found myself really liking a few teams for the first time in weeks. These are the things I like in an "Amazing Race" episode, so I have to make sure I underline them whenever they occur.

The British actress was a familiar face on TV and on Broadway during the 1950s and early ’60s, earning a Tony nom for her supporting role in 1959’s Goodbye, Charlie. Sarah Marshall died Saturday of cancer in Los Angeles. She was 80. Marshall appeared on dozens of TV shows from the mid-’50 through the mid-’90s, including such popular series as Thriller, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Get Smart, Daniel Boone, Three’s Company and Cheers. She also was a regular on the 1979 CBS comedy Miss Winslow & Son and appeared in the 1980 miniseries Scruples. But Marshall is perhaps best known to American TV audiences for starring roles on episodes of The Twilight Zone (the worried mother in “Little Girl Lost”) and Star Trek (the disease-curing scientist an ex-flame of Capt. Kirk in “The Deadly Years”).

Amazing Race 22 Preview
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Premieres February 17
Can The Amazing Race still be surprising? With the long-running reality competition entering its 22nd season, the chance for major changes seems unlikely. There will be unpredictable moments, but the overall structure remains the same. The producers have tried to throw in new twists to liven up the game, but they’re one-time events that rarely make a dent. For example, last season upped the ante to $2 million, but only for the team that won the opening leg. Once Abbie and Ryan left the game, that move disappeared from memory.
Even without structural changes, there’s still plenty to like with this show. It’s consistently entertaining and sends its 11 teams through difficult challenges all over the world. The set-up is so good that it’s impossible not to wish for the best from every season. So much...

There are few things in this world more warm and cozy than digging into a humanistic John Ford picture. Few things more downright entertaining. I’m inclined to call Ford my favorite filmmaker of all time, if I felt it necessary to make such distinctions. Steamboat Round the Bend was to be, for all intents and purposes, a minor Ford experience for me; a film one watches when they’ve run out of the “better” Ford and wanna see what else he made in between and around Stagecoach and The Searchers. Steamboat Round the Bend came four years prior to Stagecoach – the film inevitably referred to as more or less the starting point of Ford’s lucrative Western stint and, more egregious and wrongheadedly, when he started to get “good”. Not only had he made good films before Stagecoach, he’d made better films Than Stagecoach before Stagecoach. He’d...

It’s the Top Chef Texas Finale, entitled “Finale,” because it is actually, seriously the very last episode of Top Chef Season 9 – no more snowy nonsense, no more Last Chance Redemption Island Of Temptation The Benefactor All-Stars, it’s just Sarah Grueneberg and Paul Qui competing to see who is the better chef: Paul, or Paul and also Bravo made a giant mistake. Sarah kicks things off by declaring “This is the goal I’ve had this entire competition.” She is Locked In. That is also the goal of literally everyone who has ever gone on Top Chef or any competition show. No one’s ever been like, “My goal is to make some friends, cook other peoples’ food, then get eliminated in Week 3 cooking a risotto that represents Daniel Boone’s courage then release a sex tape.” Tom explains that for the final challenge, each chef will design...

Happy new year, Delena fans! You had to wait nearly two whole months to get your holiday gift, but tonight it finally arrived in the form of a passionate smooch between our favorite bad boy vamp and the forbidden object of his desire. Sure, some other stuff happened in tonight’s midseason premiere of “Tvd,” but this is the moment we’ll all be talking about. At least, until next week.

It's always hard picking through these things. But one thing that helps is when you guys read directions. The contest stated you needed to send me stories of bizarre glory Not real life heroes or people that you admired because they overcame great odds bleah bleah bleah. So with all due respect these are the only two entries that came close to doing that. Congratulations Kraig Horigan and Donivan Arnold your DVDs are on their way. Your entries are posted below. The rest of you hang your heads in shame and read the directions next time. For cripes sakes Arnold posted the lyrics to the old Daniel Boone TV Show theme song and won."It was back in 1989 and we were hanging out front of Quikie Mart... probably good 12...

Something about Benjamin Walker just screams "noble savior."
The titular star of the upcoming zombie history spoof, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," Deadline reports that Walker's next role will take him from the United States' Civil War to the great Angelic War, as he is close to nabbing the part of the Archangel Michael in the upcoming big screen adaptation of John Milton's epic poem, "Paradise Lost."
Once he signs the dotted line, Walker will join Bradley Cooper in what promises to be a visually breathtaking motion-capture film. Cooper, as he confirmed to The Huffington Post, is due to play the role of the rebelling and fallen angel Lucifer, who leads an army against God's own forces. Walker's Archangel Michael, once Lucifer's great friend, helps leads God's forces in the war with the rebel devil, clashing with Lucifer and slashing him with a sword designed by the heavenly father.

Hal Ross, whose career in television as a talent and literary agent spanned nearly fifty years, died last Friday. He was 86. The native Angeleno co-founded the Ziegler-Ross Agency, where he helped pioneer the television packaging business and was one of the first agents to represent a major athlete when he negotiated Sandy Koufax's blockbuster deal with NBC Sports in 1967. During that time, he packaged such hits as The Daniel Boone Show, Medical Center and M*A*S*H. He later joined the William Morris Agency as Svp where he plied his talents until his retirement in 1997. Even then Hal could not stay away from show business: he found time after his early morning swims in Malibu to produce the motion picture version of The Honeymooners in 2005.

On Thursday's (May 13) episode of NBC's "Parks and Recreation," Rob Lowe begins a multi-episode arc as Chris Traeger, an auditing consultant from the state budget office in Indianapolis.
He shows up in Pawnee to look into the city's finances, torpedoing civil servant Leslie's Knope's (Amy Poehler) master plan for a new park (and quite possibly a whole lot more).
Lowe shows off his light-comedy chops in the episode, delivering bad news in sugary language with a charming smile on his pretty, chiseled face before swanning off and leaving the dirty work to his aide (Adam Scott, "Party Down"). And, unsurprisingly, he gets involved in a little romance.
It's hard to believe a word Traeger says, no matter how delightfully he says it, and that's probably a wise move, since he's sticking around on the show into at least a few episodes of season three.
Playing a charming rogue well is harder than it looks.

Jordan Reeves just wanted some credits to add to his résumé when he auditioned at the Southeastern Theatre Conference. He was a junior in college, majoring in theater performance. He'd never heard of Fort Harrod Drama and its yearly outdoor production, "Daniel Boone: The Man and the Legend." But his audition impressed the show's producers enough for them to offer him the role of James Harrod."What excited me at first was the chance to be in an epic play, playing a historical figure," says Reeves. "The show took place in Harrodsburg, Ky., and I would be portraying the character that founded that town. It was my first professional job. I was young, and someone wanted to pay me to act, so that was terrific. They also provided housing."Outdoor dramas also provide a good deal of employment. According to the Institute of Outdoor Drama in Chapel Hill, N.C.

In the spirit of juxtaposing disparate franchises and story ideas (Monsters vs Aliens, Cowboys vs Aliens, Daniel Boone Meets the Chupacabra...Ok, I made that last one up), comes news of another mix—and this one actually sounds pretty interesting.
Director Patrick Tatopoulos, Underworld co-creator Kevin Grevioux and Death Ray Films are teaming up to bring the comic book "I, Frankenstein" to the big screen.
"I, Frankenstein" is an upcoming Darkstorm Comic written by Grevioux that brings together classic monster characters, including Frankenstein's Monster, the Invisible Man, Dracula and the Hunchback of Notre Dame, in a contemporary film noir setting.
The Monster, for example, has evolved, learned how to control his anger and now acts as a private investigator. Dracula, meanwhile, is a kingpin of crime, and the Invisible Man is a secret operative (there's a stretch).
Grevioux will pen the adaptation and act as a producer. Tatopoulos, a longtime...
