As a playwright and theatre director, he became friends with a group of
renowned young French actors and directors including Arnaud Desplechin,
Bruno Podalydes and Jeanne Balibar.
Was a philosophy professor before undertaking a career in theatre and
film.
Won the prestigious Prix Jean Vigo for Candidature.
Graduated from the ENS. Studied linguistics and philosophy and taught in the University of Bordeaux III and Paris VII.
Wrote and directed a series of short plays for the Rencontres de la Cartoucherie organized by Philippe Adrien and Anne-Marie Choisne.
