Former Every Time I Die singer Keith Buckley’s new band Many Eyes have unveiled their debut single, “Revelation,” and it’s an absolute crusher of a track.
The tune features Buckley in full scream mode during the verses, with a clean-sung chorus. Musically, Buckley’s new bandmates — brothers Nick and Charlie Bellmore — deliver a powerhouse instrumental.
“‘Revelation’ is about recognizing evil and having the courage, the wisdom and the faith to face it directly,” Buckley said in a press release. “I hope anyone who listens to this song feels empowered to confront injustice, no matter what form it takes in their lives.”
It’s all systems go for Buckley and company right out of the gates. A full album is on the way, as is a recently announced 2024 US tour with Thursday and Rival Schools.

Better Lovers — a newly formed supergroup featuring current and former members of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, and Fit for an Autopsy — are introducing themselves with their debut single, “30 Under 13.”
The band is comprised of singer Greg Puciato (ex-Dillinger Escape Plan), guitarist Will Putney (Fit for an Autopsy), and three ex-members of Every Time I Die: guitarist Jordan Buckley, drummer Clayton “Goose” Holyoak, and bassist Stephen Micciche.
The fiery single “30 Under 13” features Puciato in full scream mode during the chaotic verses before delivering a clean vocal for the trippy chorus. At the 2:15 mark, the track goes high-speed hardcore.
“Jordan sent me some already finished instrumental tracks, and they hit me at just the right time,” said Puciato in a press release. “Those tracks woke up a side of me that I thought was fully extinct but was merely evolving and changing. To my complete surprise...

From the start, the Damned Things’ existence seemed unlikely: What were two dudes from Fall Out Boy doing in a band with the guy from Anthrax? But Fob lead guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley knew their hard rock, and ended up sounding right at home on the band’s 2010 debut album, Ironiclast, alongside Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian and singer Keith Buckley of the metalcore band Every Time I Die. Their excellent, just-released second album, High Crimes, though, is truly improbable, if only because it showed up with little...

Described as ‘rough-around-the-edges’ Sister Sin are a Swedish group originating from Gothenburg since 2002. Gothenburg, not Gotham. Specialising in what you could ultimately guess from their name, this hard-hitting force of Metal group has had popular press in their own country but with a massive Us and Canada tour coming up, will their popularity continue to grow? I definitely can’t speak for the entire world, but heres one view from the UK which may give you the first impression of their latest album, Now And Forever.
Track 1 – Mmxii starts as quite an epic really, but its not much of a song. More of an introduction to track 2 – End Of The Line. A rather slow paced synth, possibly creating a build up however it has a quite annoying abrupt end and with its short duration, its not giving me that initial album-opening feeling I would of expect from any typical Metal album.

Blowgoat hail from the lovely city of Newport in South Wales. That is, lovely if you’re there anytime before 6 o’clock– after that it gets a bit like Gotham Citywith all the ghouls, maniacs and drug-thirsty youth prowling the kerbs. Not to mention, of course, the drunks who think they’re Batman, saving young women from the greedy clutches of rapists (who are actually the boyfriends/one-night-stand of the women in question) and therefore, making the world a better place. Yeah, right. Before you think I’m some judgemental, up-his-own-arse guy who’s just bad-mouthing Newport on the basis of one night out there, think again. I live about twenty minutes away from Newport and the place is just like any other city you’ll go to – shit. The bad-points are so much better to write about than the good...

2011 was a great year for album releases, from artists new and old, and with 2012 set to be our last year on Earth (ahem, those Mayans, what are they like?), you’d hope that at the very least the sound track to the end of the world would be a good one to go out on. Thankfully, judging by the list myself and fellow WhatCulture! writer Rhys Milsom have compiled, the soundtrack to our unified demise should be the least of our worries.
So here is the first in two articles on some of the albums to keep a ear out for in 2012, and if some of these albums live up to their promise, they may well appear in our end of year list, if there’s an end of year to be had of course…

Since next year is supposed to be our last here on Earth (if you’re into Mayan culture and all that), let’s hope that we get plenty of amazing albums so we can bid adieu in style. It should be a glorious year indeed if we finally get that new Santigold record, Tool finally hit the studio and Jay-z and Kanye both give us solo albums (and maybe more from The Throne). We're no longer holding onto much hope for Dr. Dre's Detox – which is quickly becoming the Chinese Democracy of the new millennium – since the rapper recently announced he’s "taking a break," which begs the question, “What has he been doing this whole time?” But clearly there is plenty of good music for us all to look forward to in 2012.
This year wasn’t too shabby either – we had some great new albums...

It is increasingly rare in today’s modern music world to see a band make it past the ten year mark. It’s even rarer to see a band do it while maintaining musical credibility. Case in point, Every Time I Die – a group of headbanging, enthusiastic Bills fans from Buffalo who feature some of the dirtiest, awesomest metal riffs you’ll ever hear and just so happen to throw the hottest damn concerts in town.
Every Time I Die started off with brothers Keith Buckley and Jordan Buckley on vocals and guitars, respectively, before adding Andy “Paul Bunyan” Williams as a second guitarist. Original drummer Mike “Ratboy” Novak handled sticks for the group from their 1998 inception until 2009 when Canadian Ryan Leger (a madman on the drums nicknamed “Legs”) replaced him. (Insert name here) has been with the group since… sorry, inside joke since the bassist position...

Hard-rocking supergroup features members of Fall Out Boy, Anthrax and Every Time I Die.

Nearly three years ago, Joe Trohman and Scott Ian met up, drank a fair amount and started talking about — of all things — their mutual love for Thin Lizzy. That initial conversation was the de facto beginning of the Damned Things, their heavy-riffing, hard-strutting new band.
Of course, back then, both men were still busy with their day jobs — Trohman as the guitarist of Fall Out Boy and Ian as the epicenter of thrash legends Anthrax — so rather than pursuing the idea of forming a group together, they simply recorded a demo and kept the project under wraps, referring to it only with a super-secret (and sorta-awesome) code name: Methuselah.

Fall Out Boy is on an indefinite hiatus, so at least two members are going to be taking time making music somewhere else. Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman plus four other musicians from Every Time I Die and Anthrax have formed a new metal supergroup, dubbed The Damned Things. Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano of Anthrax and Keith Buckley and David Karon from Every Time I Die round out the crew, who has apparently written at least 15 songs for an album. According to RockSound.tv, Ian says that the resulting sound resembles “Kyuss meeting Thin Lizzy.” “It’s super fun and it’s...

As Keith Buckley sees it, Every Time I Die’s new album, New Junk Aesthetic (preview it below), is “kind of, dealing with the fact that there is so much art out there, that you have no idea what’s worth looking at and what isn’t.” If you haven’t figured it out by now, however, Every Time I Die is a band whole heartedly worth paying attention to. The five-piece from Buffalo, New York are nothing short of a force to reckon with. The band—comprised of guitarists Jordan Buckley and Andrew Williams, bassist Josh Newton and freshly added drummer Ryan Leger—is well versed in the art of creating skillful, creative and exciting metal in a scene overrun with dull imitators. Buckley not only provides some of the most recognizable vocals in the genre, but arguably its smartest lyrics, with his heavily satirical and witty observations. What...

I first got a brain-load of Buffalo metallers Every Time I Die during the Sounds of the Underground tour a few years back, and they blew my circuits instantly with their raunchy, devil-may-care attitude, maniacal energy, and highly original songwriting. All those elements are front and center in their upcoming album New Junk Aesthetic, which hits stores next Tuesday – and if you've been paying attention, you've already had a taste of what's to come in the form of their acid-drenched new video for "Wanderlust," featuring nightmarish animated segments from their guitarist, Jordan Buckley. Given their penchant for demented imagery – including the hilarious Teen Wolf-themed video for the song...
