It’s the most celebrated, the most special, the most significant watch of all time; Rolex is symbolic of many things in the movies: style, wealth, attitude, and perhaps most importantly, taste. That is not to say a Rolex is elitist, but rather that the wearer on screen, anyone from James Bond to Steve McQueen, is someone possessed of the knowledge that there is no better. Rolex is the pinnacle.
The history of Rolex on film is not nearly as interesting as the scope of its wearers and how this simple act of either discreet or ostentatious display can define character. Take James Bond, a man whose breeding was forced upon him; he developed taste and nurtured it. Roger Moore’s incarnation of 007, the most overlooked style wise, is 100% a Rolex customer – even if his custom Submariner in Live and Let Die (1971) was modified somewhat by Q Branch. Sorry, but...

One of the things that Syfy‘s very excellent Haven does very well is to integrate new characters into the show. It helps when the new character is played by someone who is already beloved by Syfy fans, and that’s certainly true of Colin Ferguson, who for six years played Sheriff Jack Carter on Eureka.

"Haven" will not be quite the same when the show returns for Season 4 on Friday (Sept. 13). The question is: How different?
For some answers, we talked to actors Colin Ferguson (William) and Adam Copeland (Dwight) during the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con. What will be Dwight's new role on the show? Who is this William guy anyway? You can watch the video for the full interview, or else check out a few spoiler highlights below.
When talking about William, Ferguson (best known for playing Sheriff Jack Carter on "Eureka") teased a few things without giving much away. "There's sort of a strange connection between Emily and I," he said. "It's quasi-attraction, it's quasi-friendship. And yet, at the same time, you don't know if I want to help her or hurt her."

Excellent, some Haven news! Production has begun for Season 4 of this absolutely terrific show, up in gorgeous Halifax. Everyone I’ve talked with who’s involved in the show’s production talks about the big part the location plays in the series, and I agree. We also have news that the star of another Syfy show that featured an “interesting” town will be joining the Haven community:
Yes Colin Ferguson, Eureka‘s Sheriff Jack Carter, will be showing up in our favorite creepy town. Here are the details, along with a head’s up about where we’ll be when the show returns:

When "Haven" returns to Syfy with new Season 4 episodes in October 2013, there will be at least one new actor making trouble: Colin Ferguson, the former star of "Eureka," has been cast on this show about a strange small town in Maine.
Ferguson, who played Sheriff Jack Carter over five seasons of "Eureka" before the series was canceled in 2012, will play a character named William on "Haven." Six months after the events that ended Season 3, this mysterious stranger will show up in the town of Haven. Whatever William's secret agenda may be, it leads him straight to Audrey Parker (Emily Rose).
Considering that we last saw Audrey disappearing into a magic barn (along with Duke (Eric Balfour) and a few others), the casting does at least indicate that the show's mystery woman will soon be returning. This is good news for Nathan (Lucas Bryant), left behind and injured when the others disappeared.

It is with a heavy heart and a few tears in my eyes that I write the sendoff for Eureka. After 77 incredible episodes, we said goodbye to our favorite small town in "Just Another Day."
I was so glad to see that so many people made an appearance, starting with the lovely (and grown up) Jordan Hinson as Zoe Carter, continuing with Matt Frewer and his continual pursuit of the animal variety as the "Biological Containment Specialist" Taggert, and ending with the surprise return of James Callis as Dr. Grant, or rather Trent Rockwell.
While it was bittersweet that Dr. Grant purchased the town, allowing Eureka to continue in our hearts (if not on TV), the tears came as Jack fell through the worm hole and experienced the flashback. So many memories are attached to those flashbacks for me, too. From Nathan Stark’s sacrifice to the alternate timeline where...

"Eureka" showrunner Jaime Paglia calls his series finale, "Just Another Day," a "love letter to fans." So did you feel the love?
We sure did -- especially if you are measuring by tears and goosebumps.
Maybe the best line of the evening came from amnesiac Holly (Felicia Day), who perfectly captured what Sheriff Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) means to the little town of Eureka:
"Oh! I remember now. You guys are smart, but the sheriff is the strong force -- he holds it all together."
In his last heroic act of the series, Carter dove through a wormhole to save the town. As he traveled through that space-time anomaly, we saw snippets of important characters (Stark, argh!) and pivotal scenes -- including season one's alternate timeline in which Allison was his wife and pregnant with their child.

Six years ago a remarkable television series Eureka debuted on the Sci-Fi Channel (later renamed Syfy). Premised around a small town sheriff recruited to protect a community funded by the U.S. government and Department of Defense to foster creative scientific advances, the show could have been a dark journey into the perils of government science run amok. Instead, what creators Jaime Paglia and Andrew Crosby brought to life was a fun-filled, hilarious and the oh-so-wonderful world of Eureka.
From the opening notes of Bear McCreary’s musical theme to the fantastic visual intro, and that now famous opening scene where Sheriff Jack Carter drove into the small town of Eureka, only to see himself driving in the opposition direction leaving town, we knew that whatever crazy science was at play in Eureka, it was not at all that dark and dubious. It was instead uplifting, zany, wildly wacky, and full of curiosity.

If you take away the techno-babble added to almost all the dialog and Godzilla like rampage Andy went on, "Smarter Carter" really boiled down to being about one thing: wanting to fit in and be accepted. For Jack, it was two-fold in both Eureka and now in Allison's family.
Fitting in (or being accepted) can be as simple as being able to understand the topics of conversations you hear as you go through your life, along with your ability contribute to those conversations. For Jack this has been his day-to-day job in Eureka, now meeting Marcus, it's going to follow him home to family.

Directed by Salli Richardson-Whitfield
Airs Mondays at 9pm Et on SyFy
Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Allison) sits in the director’s chair for the first second time and doesn’t miss a beat. She has been with the show since the beginning, so it’s safe to say she understands how things work around there and her familiarity is apparent. Despite “Worst Case Scenario” being predictable and formulaic, by Eureka’s standards, Richardson-Whitfield is able to bring it to life in a way that would suggest she’s been directing Eureka all along.
While running a disaster simulation, the computer in charge decides to set off a series of real events that Sheriff Carter and the rest of the crew must stop before the town is destroyed. Of course everything works out and the town is saved; no major twists or...

Colin Ferguson has admitted that he would love to star in a Eureka movie. Syfy axed Eureka in August, with producer Amy Berg blaming the decision on financial issues. "I'd love to do a Eureka movie for Syfy," Ferguson, who plays Sheriff Jack Carter, told TV Guide. "Our sets are gone but our characters could move to Chicago to handle an urgent problem. Only with us, it would probably be more like Bakersfield or Stockton." Ferguson added that the cancellation of Eureka had come as "a surprise" to the show's cast and crew. "We never had better ratings than we did last season and we're as strong as we've ever been, creatively speaking," he argued. "[But] I was incredibly grateful we got the word [about the cancellation] three weeks before we stopped shooting. We all had (more)...

Is this really happening? Eureka is back for its fifth and final season Monday (9/8c, Syfy) with a humdinger of an episode that has the starship Astraeus landing safely on Earth after its unplanned launch. But the crew members weren't in outer space for only a few hours like they thought — they were out there for four years! Naturally, the folks back home have moved on with their lives. Kids have grown up. New romances have blossomed. And sinister forces are now in charge of Global Dynamics. TV Guide Magazine spoke with Colin Ferguson — aka Sheriff Jack Carter — about these wild developments, the show's surprise demise, and what's in store for the series finale.

Colin Ferguson, who plays Sheriff Jack Carter in Syfy‘s Eureka, and showrunner Jaime Paglia, recently took some time to speak with the press about the last season of their show, which premieres Monday. I took the opportunity to ask them if the series finale will mean the absolute end of the show, or if there is a possibility of future specials or movies.
Colin Ferguson: My death scene is one of the most moving death scenes you’re ever going to see.
SciFi Mafia: (laughing) But it’s sci-fi, so you can come back, right?
Colin Ferguson: (laughing) Exactly. No, there’s no death scene. Jamie, how about you take it?
Jamie Paglia: There are no plans right now for that. I think that the realities of having taken down all of our sets would make that definitely challenging. There have been discussions about potentially doing a spin-off to the franchise,...

With "Eureka" heading into its final season this spring, Colin Ferguson is betting his TV future on a Fox comedy pilot. According to a variety of sources -- we'll cite HollywoodReporter.com -- Ferguson will play one of the leads in "Like Father," from "Scrubs" creator and "Cougar Town" co-creator Bill Lawrence. Lawrence is writing, directing and executive producing the pilot, which focuses on a 19-year-old who has grown up in his father's (Ferguson) shadow. Complications ensue when the father makes himself a large part of his son's college life. Ferguson has spent five seasons playing Sheriff Jack Carter...

Eureka Christmas Special: Colin Ferguson Q&A
For many the greatest gift of the holidays is the gathering of loved ones joyously spending time together all at once. In Eureka's final Christmas episode titled, "Do You See What I See," Syfy and Curious Pictures have teamed to give fans an exciting celebration of animation styles bringing the town of geniuses to life in a most adventurous yuletide tale. Claymation, traditional cell animation, cutting-edged anime, and CGI combine and collide to produce this special holiday story sure to be an instant classic.
Last year Eureka delivered one of my favorite holiday-themed specials ever, thanks in great part to the extraordinary guest performance of Chris Parnell as Dr. Noah Drummer. Parnell returns this year to sprinkle just the right amount of magic in the mix, and with fellow guests Jim Parsons, Edward James Olmos, and, Matt Frewer reprising his fan-favorite role of Jim Taggart,...

Colin Ferguson, who plays Sheriff Jack Carter on sci-fi TV show Eureka, will direct at least one future Syfy Channel original movie, the actor announced during a panel Sunday at Dragon*Con 2011.
In the past, fans have often ridiculed Syfy's made-for-tv movies, which feature hokey stories and awful dialog -- especially when compared to the network's original TV shows like Eureka.
Like the good sport he is, Ferguson also poked fun at past Syfy original movies along with the other fellow cast members on the panel, which included Wil Wheaton (Dr. Isaac Parrish), Jordan Hinson (Zoe Carter), and Chris Gauthier (Vincent) as well as the show's science consultant Kevin Robert Grazier.
Ferguson and Wheaton recited a list of story ideas for possible movies that Syfy executives rejected, like The Mexercist, Diary of Anne Frankenstein, and Manchilla (a movie about a creature that's part-man, part-chinchilla) [...]...

Eureka, the science fiction series set in a fictional Oregon town established 50 years ago by the U.S. government as a secret base for the scientists and geniuses working at Global Dynamics, debuted on the cable outlet Syfy in 2006. Series creators Andrew Cosby and Jaime Paglia wrote the adventure around U.S. Marshall Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson), who stumbles upon Eureka and ends up staying and replacing the town sheriff. After recently announcing a six-episode season 6 for the show, Syfy shocked the show’s fans by reversing its decision and confirming that the show will end with its upcoming fifth season.

The cast of Syfy's hit TV show Eureka talked about what to expect in season 4.5 during a panel discussion on Friday at San Diego Comic-Con 2011.
Prior to the cast coming out, the network showed a trailer for the upcoming episodes, which revealed plenty of guest stars. The main draw of the season is definitely the appearance of Stan "The Man" Lee, creator of classic Marvel characters like Spider-Man, X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, and several more.
"We're all very professional adults on the set... but when we did that episode with Stan Lee everyone reverted to age 12," said Wil Wheaton, who moderated the panel and appears on the show as Dr. Isaac Parrish.
The panel featured Colin Ferguson (Jack Carter), Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Allison Blake), Neil Grayston (Douglas Fargo), Felicia Day (Dr. Holly Martin), and executive producers Jaime Paglia and Bruce Miller. We've embedded video of the panel below (check back soon...

“Powerful Mondays” are finally beginning on Syfy, starting with the premiere of Eureka at 8/7c. Stars Colin Ferguson (“Sheriff Jack Carter” pictured on the far right) and Salli Richardson-Whitfield (“Dr. Allison Blake” pictured on the far right) took some time out of shooting the new season recently to take some questions from the press, including SciFi Mafia.
RedEye asked them why they think the show has been on for so long, and how the show changed after the reboot:
Colin Ferguson: … I think the show is as good as it’s ever been. That had to do with sort of a big shift down here in the writers room and, sort of finally finding our footing and getting our way back after the writer’s strike and all of the big Hollywood problems that happened. It made it really difficult even to know if you were going to have a job.

Chicago – SyFy brings back two of their hits tonight, July 11th, 2011, for brand-new seasons of wacky behavior with an unusual twist. “Eureka” and “Warehouse 13” have a lot in common with their charming, handsome leads, quirky senses of humor, and unique storylines. They’re both about Area 51-esque places that we’re not supposed to know about and the people who keep them under control. For me, there’s an obviously superior program of the two, the best and most successful show currently on SyFy, but I’m sure fans will be happy to have both back for the summer season.

The SyFy Channel has officially announced their plans for Comic-Con 2011. The only shows I watch these days at the SyFy Channel include Being Human and Ghost Hunters, which unfortunately won't even be there this year. At least it's not in the schedule below. I also just started watching Wearhouse 13 which turned out to be a pretty good show.
Which of the panels will you be attending from the SyFy Channel this year?
Here's the full announcement with all of the details:
In continuing with its yearly tradition of delivering the ultimate fan experience at Comic-Con – and winding down the convention with the hottest party of the entire weekend – Syfy has unveiled its plans for participation at Comic-Con 2011.

“A little knowledge is dangerous. So is a lot.” – Albert Einstein
For the past two weeks I have been indulging in four seasons of the Syfy series, Eureka. In that two weeks in this small fictional northwest town I have had lots of sci-fi fun with my newcomer friend, Jack Carter. Like Carter, I was also new to this special and sometimes weird town. It is not Twin Peaks weird, but has its own variety of small town secrets, mysteries and all the other happenings you’d expect in a place like this. Carter was a Us Marshall before he became the town sheriff of this remarkable community, where everyone is an übergenius.
Eureka was founded in 1947, when Albert Einstein proposed that if there was a place where the smartest scientists and minds in the world could collaborate and work together. Advancing mankind, we’d prosper, technologically, more than ever before.

Just who is Felicia Day’s character in a love triangle with on her upcoming guest spot on SyFy’s Eureka? When SciFi Mafia talked with Eureka’s Neil Grayston in August, he only knew that this love triangle involved Day’s character and Wil Wheaton’s character, a somewhat cantankerous scientist, but then there was a curious tweet from Colin Ferguson (who plays Sheriff Jack Carter on the show) that caught my eye. I had to get the skinny on Day’s appearance on Eureka for you guys. This is what Felicia Day could tell us about this mysterious love triangle in America’s smartest little town.
SciFi Mafia: About your upcoming guest spot on SyFy’s Eureka, when we had talked to Neil Grayston a couple of months ago he said that he thought that your character of Dr. Holly Martin would be involved in a love triangle with Wil Wheaton’s character.

It's a sunny 75 degrees in Orlando, Fla. on Monday (Oct. 11), a contrast to the subject at hand at the first panel of the Syfy Press Tour: The special holiday episodes of "Warehouse 13" and "Eureka."
Stars and frequent crossover love interests Allison Scagliotti (Claudia on "Warehouse 13") and Neil Grayston (Douglas Fargo on "Eureka") take to the stage in the Venetian ballroom of the Loew's Portofino Hotel to discuss the merrymaking.
Both holiday episodes will air on Dec. 7 and should work as stand-alones. On "Eureka," a snowbound Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) tells a holiday flashback story. Guest stars will be Matt Frewer and Chris Parnell who might be more than just the scientist he presents himself to be.
On "Warehouse 13," the flashback will be told parable-style and feature Myka (Joanne Kelly). In the episode, Claudia wants to get the whole gang together for a family-like holiday celebration, which requires...

This article may contain spoilers. After last week's surprise that Dr. Trevor Grant (James Callis) had used Jack Carter's (Colin Ferguson) cellphone to transport himself into the future, this week began to explore what effect his presence has had on present day Eureka. As if it were not damaging enough from the effects of Jack, Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), Henry (Joe Morton), Jo (Erica Cerra) and Fargo's (Neil Grayston) visit to 1947, now that Dr. Grant is stuck in 2010, the unintended after-effects are being revealed. So this episode explored what was new in the lives of our five heroes. As briefly touched upon last week: Jack returned to find that Tess (Jaime Ray Newman) had never left for Australia, Allison found that Kevin (Meshach Peters) no longer had autism, Jo found ...

This season of SyFy’s Eureka is jam packed with geektastic guest stars, including Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day, and now… the legendary Stan Lee! Judging from the stars’ respective Twitter feeds, Lee will be making a cameo on the same upcoming episode of Eureka in which Day and Wheaton also guest star.
SyFy is being tight-lipped on the details on this episode and all those involved, but Lee tweeted that he would be making a cameo on the show and hoped that he can convince executive producer, Jaime Paglia, to make his role more significant.
Wil Wheaton was busted by Stan Lee when Wheaton tweeted about having lunch with Lee, Neil Grayston (who plays Fargo), and Day on the set of Eureka. Wheaton shared the awe of having Lee on set with just about everyone on the cast and crew that day:

Eureka is a decent little show that's been puttering along on SyFy since the network had more i's and less y's back in 2006. The nominal premise is that there is a top secret town in the Pacific northwest run by the government in which many of the top minds in the world live and work. The pilot put the average Joe sort of Us Marshall Jack Carter (played by Colin Ferguson) into the role of town sheriff. The town frequently has conflicts between the military, which sinks enormous funding into the town, and the civilian scientists.
