Luke and Lorelai are finally married! Was it worth waiting for?
Amanda: I cried so many happy tears during that entire sequence. Their wedding was a long time coming. While I don't think everyone needs to be married in order to be satisfied, I think it was needed for Lorelai to feel more complete.

Now that Netflix's latest nostalgia-fueled reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, is here – and if you're reading this, you've presumably binged all six hours of the new series over the holiday weekend – we have just one thing to say: Oy, enough with the poodles already.
Just kidding. But the revival of the beloved early-aughts dramedy is destined to be discussed, dissected and debated for the foreseeable future, especially when you consider that it ends on one hell of a cliffhanger. (If you haven't seen the whole thing, stop...

Et's Leanne Aguilera caught up with the 58-year-old actor at the premiere of the Netflix revival last Friday, where he couldn't help but gush about giving the characters their happily-ever-after.
Exclusive: 'Gilmore Girls' Cast Reunites at Netflix Revival Premiere Party, Lauren Graham Gushes 'I'm So Thankful We Made It'
"[It felt] pretty good, pretty good, yeah," Patterson, who plays Luke, shared. "And the way we did it was pretty clever I thought. I think it was the most personal way to do it and it had the most dramatic impact."
Dramatic impact, indeed. After nine years, fans watched Luke and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) finally say "I do" in the last episode of the Netflix series, "Fall," forgoing a big wedding for an intimate late-night ceremony...

We won’t tell you how many times we’ve already watched the trailer, so let’s just say that it’s great – but still way too short. The teaser left enough questions wide open that we decided to compile the 50 Questions We Had Watching the “Gilmore Girls” Trailer. Feel free to play along:
Who exactly is manning each of the booths for the Spring International Food Festival, besides the Kims for Korean food? If I could harness the power of a Gilmore metabolism, could I charge my phone?

Filmmakers from 24 countries, including the Us and Italy, to receive funding
The Doha Film Institute has announced recipients of the autumn 2014 session of its grants programme. The announcement has come just ahead of the Berlinale (Feb 5-15) where four of the Institute’s previous grantees will be presented, including three world premieres.
Some 21 projects from 24 countries – comprising nine narrative feature films, eight feature documentaries and four short films – will receive funding for development, production or post-production.
It marks the ninth session of the grants programme, which supports new cinematic talent, with a focus on first and second-time filmmakers.
A total of 11 of the projects are from the Middle East North Africa (Mena) region; eight are from the Oecd’s Development Assistance Committee list of countries (Dac); and two are from the rest of the world.

Mermaids, monsters & demons. Pretty cool company, you’ll agree. Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming Empires Of The Deep movie, or if you prefer – the teaser for the whole thing, ’cause you wont find some spectacular action in this one. Just the usual stuff – the war between good and evil, only under the sea. Or something like that…
This fantasy adventure comes from diretor Michael French, it is set in ancient Greece and will tell us the story of a young man’s adventure in the undersea mermaid kingdom. In order to save his father, he will have to fight some ferocious sea monsters.
Then, there’s also a part of the story which goes like this: he gets involved in large-scale battles in the seabed between mermaids, monsters and demons. Poor man!
Anyway, the movie stars Olga Kurylenko as the Queen of the Mermaid Empire, Steve Polites plays that brave young man,...

A couple of years ago we shared some photos from the set of a crazy looking fantasy film called Empires of the Deep. We've had nothing to report on the movie between then and now, with the first trailer for it popping up online. It looked like it had potential early on, but unfortunately, it looks absolutes terrible in every way you can imagine.
The 3D movie had a budget of around $130 million, and apparently it had a lot of issues during production. Everything that could have gone wrong, did. It was "the dream project of Chinese real estate tycoon Jon Jiang, who wrote the script himself and partially financed with his own money, the film was originally announced with Monica Bellucci as the star, Catwoman director Pitof helming and Empire Strikes Back director Irvin Kershner on board as a producer. All three left the project every bit as quickly as they signed up.

Emma Watson poses in some of our fave designers and proves that she's come a long way from her Hogwarts uniform in her latest shoot. Emma Watson is getting ready for the release of her first leading role since Harry Potter with her newest film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which hits theaters on Sept. 21 -- but we're more focused on how hot she looks in the latest shoot! The 22-year-old actress is seen on the cover of Glamour's October issue wearing a Zadig & Voltaire coat, Nina Ricci dress, Stella McCartney bra and Salvatore Ferragamo necklace. Four different designers never looked so good! In the other photos, Emma can be seen wearing Marc Jacobs, Tiffany & Co., Alexander McQueeen, Maison Michel, Sydney Evan, Falke, and Manolo Blahnik. Emma clearly has good taste, and we think her post-Potter days suit her perfectly! Check out the shoot and see what she had to say right here.

Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame Directed by: Tsui Hark Written by: Kuo-fu Chen, Lin Qianyu (story), Jialu Zhang (screenplay) Starring: Andy Lau, Carina Lau, Li Bingbing, Chao Deng, Tony Leung Ka-Fai, Jean-Michel Casanova If you thought Guy Ritchie was the only one capable of taking a well-known detective and turning him into an over-the-top action hero, well, then you haven't seen Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame. Directed by Hong Kong veteran Tsui Hark, the movie is inspired by a real-life historical figure from the Zhou Dynasty named Di Renjie, who served as chancellor to Wu Zetian, the first and only female Emperor of China. Prior to that he had been a magistrate and judge, which was the basis for the 18th century novel The Celebrated Cases of Judge Dee. This new big budget wuxia film re-imagines him as not only a crime-solving super sleuth,...

Chicago – The roots of the cinematic obsession with wizards, the force and middle earth can be traced back somewhat to the Chinese tradition of the samurai warrior, and the magical realism that is practiced in that genre of films. “Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame” packs in action, magic politics and fantasy in a tale based on a real Chinese empress.
Rating: 3.5/5.0
This is an epic story, with larger-than-life heroes and villains. Everything is on a grand scale, including the ability of the martial arts fighters, the soap opera of the mystery and the vastness of a statue of Buddha that is in the center of the story. Director Hark Tsui and action choreographer Sammo Hung (”Kung Fu Hustle”) team up to combine history with the flirtation of warrior fantasy, to reveal the waste and hubris of attempting to secure a section of the world.
The year is 690 A.
