Photograph by Lars Fassinger. Hell—not exactly the place you want to end up. But how’s about a quick peek, just to see what all the fuss is about? Get a glimpse at “Hell’s Half-Acre,” a collection of underworld renderings from 20 contemporary artists like Antony Micallef, porn-collage artist Jonathan Yeo, and taxidermy sculptress Polly Morgan, opening October 12 at the Old Vic Tunnels in London. The concept comes from Steve Lazarides, the urban art dealer and curator who launched Banksy’s career. Like Leo Castelli, Mary Boone and Bruno Bischofberger before him—the gallerists who put artists like Warhol, Rauschenberg and Schnabel on the map—Lazarides has become a champion for the artist as individual. He’s excelled at “mentoring new talent, nurturing the creative process and presenting work that is free to the public,” says actor Kevin Spacey, a co-curator of the show and the artistic director at the Old Vic Theatre.

When I first saw the headline that George Clooney would be playing legendary singer and actor Frank Sinatra, I thought to myself “Wow, Scorsese casted that role pretty quick!”. But, it turns out, this is for another film, and one which will also feature a famous actress playing another legendary celebrity of that time period.
The film will be based off of the novel The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe, and will feature Clooney as Sinatra and Angelina Jolie as Marilyn Monroe. The novel’s Amazon page tells us the following information:
In November 1960, Frank Sinatra gave Marilyn Monroe a dog. His name was Mafia Honey, or Maf for short.
…given as a Christmas present to Marilyn the winter after she separated from Arthur Miller, Maf offers a keen insight into the world of Hollywood’s greatest star.

Yep, there's another Marilyn Monroe movie on the pipe line, but this time the casting is a bit more interesting. Angelina Jolie and George Clooney are joining up on the novel adaptation of Andrew O'Hagan's "The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe". Jolie will be playing none other than the gorgeous blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe while George Clooney will be tapping his inner song-bird, filling the role of Frank Sinatra. There's no real word on who will be directing the picture or if it's entirely true that the two big stars are attached to this production. Either way, it's the first we've heard of it, so let's at least fill you in on what the story's all about. In November 1960, Frank Sinatra gave Marilyn Monroe a dog. His name was Mafia Honey, or Maf for short. Born in the household of Vanessa Bell,...
