Clint Catalyst's foray into acting came somewhat by accident. It was at
Skylight Books in Los Feliz that Catalyst -- a spoken word performer,
published author with a "cult following," and alternative model who
laughs off any reference to that portion of his past -- did a dramatic
rendition that caught the attention of director Hilary Goldberg. She
cast him for the role of Bell Wartock on the spot, a creepy character
in a screenplay she'd recently written entitled "In The Spotlight."
Upon its release in 2007, his performance brought about other
opportunities in acting (and otherwise). Simply put, Catalyst is a
hyper-hyphenate of "the new breed": utilizing all his talents and
personality so that he's not 'just another individual' booked for a
job, but an actual brand.
February 8, 2008: won first place in CBS's national competition "BigShotLive.com". For his "win," he interviewed celebrities and did red carpet commentary at the 2008 Grammy's.
