Danny Cirella

He was born in New York and hails from Massapequa, on Long Island. He
worked as an apprentice at ABC-TV, New York during High School, did
lighting for popular piano duo, Ferrante and Teicher, produced by Don
Costa. Danny went to college in Boston at Emerson, graduated with
bachelor degree. First film: "I'm Ohkay, Your Ohkay," shot in Boston,
Massachusetts. Then onto a stint at WGBH-TV to light design the renown
series, "The Masters"; a seventeen week series with Aaron Copeland
directing the Boston Symphony. Other Films: Columbia Pictures', "Rings
Around The World", "House On Sullivan Street". In New York he worked
for; ABC-TV, Imero Fiorentino Associates, Proctor & Gamble Productions,
Lear Levin, Bill Hudson, Made TV Commercials such as Prince Speghetti's
multi-award winning "Anthony" commercial. Television programming such
as: The Merv Griffin Show, Beat The Clock, Pay Cards, Geraldo, various
MTV shows, and then on to DP New York Soap Operas; Edge Of Night,
Search For Tomorrow, As The World Turns, Guiding Light, One Life To
Live, All My Children. The Guiding Light DP team has won Two Emmy
Awards. The All My Children DP team has won Emmy Awards, and Danny has
been nominated for several others. His recent assignments are Guiding
Light, All My Children, The View (as Lighting Designer), a new series
for P&G (fall 2004), and a theatrical feature(35mm) to be released in
the spring of 2005. He is currently being considered for nomination to
the American Society Of Cinematographers(ASC).
