Graduated in Cinematic Arts at the USP -University of São Paulo, went
on to the UCLA - University of California, Los Angeles, and the SFAI -
San Francisco Art Institute courses for direction for cinema and
television. Writer, documentarist, director and producer, he
participated in the making of around 70 movies, in various functions,
which include important productions such as Kiss of the Spider-Woman,
by Hector Babenco, Sonho de Valsa, by Ana Carolina, Além da Paixão, by
Bruno Barreto, among others, and participated in 5 of 11 feature films
by Roberto Santos, to whom he was a student, assistant and co-writer,
and also paid homage to with the documentary Roberto, awarded 5 times
in festivals. His short film, Náufrago, received 22 national and
international awards, and so did Imensidade, another short film, which
received another 5 awards. His latest productions include a feature
film written, produced and directed by himself called Tríade - Galeria
de Espelhos, which lies in final stages of production, 3 television
series made for cable channel SESCTV, being those O Teatro Segundo
Antunes Filho (6 episodes), Teatro & Circunstância (part 1 - 27
episodes) and Mirada (5 episodes), and a movie for television called
Hygiene (again for SESCTV). Current projects are the nearly finished
feature film Tríade - Galeria de Espelhos and the 2nd part of the
series Teatro & Circunstância (28 episodes), also in final production
stages. Among these activities, he also gives cinema classes around
Brazil's cities.
