King Albert II of Belgium awarded her the title of Baroness Cooreman in 2004, and a Commander of the Order of the Crown in 2013.
Topped the French charts for six weeks in 1956 with her ballad La Ballade de Davy Crockett.
Upon her death, she was cremated and her ashes returned to her family.
She appeared in more than 50 films since 1954 and staged many memorable appearances at Bruno Coquatrix' famous Paris Olympia.
