Jason from Mnpp here with this week's "Beauty vs Beast" entertainment - I don't know if you've noticed by now that I will take any opportunity to talk about Alfred Hitchcock, but I will take any opportunity to talk about Alfred Hitchcock, and his birthday (which was yesterday) offers one of the best. Thankfully we've still plenty of choices - not many directors adored their villains like Hitch did, and so this series is a perfect fit.
And here's a good one! 1951's Strangers on a Train offers up one of Hitch's greatest bad guys in Bruno Antony, murder theorist and gay icon, played with giddy panache by Robert Walker. And Farley Granger's no slouch as the clearly-enticed-no-matter-how-hard-he-pretends-otherwise tennis-pro Guy Haines.
Previously It's one of her greatest roles so I'm not surprised that Joan Crawford stampeded her way to a win with last week's Johnny Guitar contest - she...

Sunday’s Feud: Bette and Joan took us to the 1963 Oscars, where there was, remarkably, only a single contender in the category of Least Gracious Non-Nominee: a certain Miss Crawford. How ugly did it get? Pour yourself a stiff one — you’re going to need it if you plan to read on.

And you thought there was no love lost between Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie!
With the debut Sunday of his new FX anthology series Feud, Ryan Murphy drew back the curtain on the rivalry between Bette and Joan, with (as you well know) Susan Sarandon as Davis and Jessica Lange as Crawford. Taking a break from the chilly weather, Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber made their way to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for Christmas on Tuesday (December 23).
The 47-year-old supermodel donned a blue cover-up that revealed a sexy black bikini as she and her hubby walked down the beach.
Recently, photographer John Russo couldn’t help but praise Miss Crawford during his interview with Marie Claire Mexico.
“Cindy is iconic,” Mr. Russo stated. “She is the quintessential supermodel. Always professional and gracious, she enters the room as if it was her first shoot.”
He then added. “She takes on whatever persona the shoot calls for. I love working with her.”
This Q&A session was done just after celebrity lensman Bruce Weber admitted to Huffington Post Live that Cindy was the only model he has ever sent home from a shoot.
“It was on a Revlon shooting, and she was...

Publisher's Note: Congratulations to Malin, who joins Jen K. in the Cannonball Read Winner's Circle.
Fanny Price, the eldest of nine siblings, is rescued from a life of relative poverty and drudgery when she is taken in by her wealthy relatives, Sir and Lady Bertram. At first she is terrified in the huge house with her well-meaning, but rather selfish and careless cousins, but her cousin Edmund (the younger of the two Bertram brothers) takes pity on her and shows her kindness and friendship. Thus starts the love Fanny feels for Edmund throughout the book.
Fanny is small and sickly, and even as she grows older, seems to tire and wear out faster than her livelier cousins. While she has the benefits of a good home and an education, she is always a bit outside the Bertram family, and her other aunt, Mrs Norris, never stops making her aware that...
