Hillary Clinton’s race to the White House has hit a bump in its final stretch with WikiLeaks’ latest email dumps.
Over the past week, the anti-secrecy organization has rolled out more than 12,000 internal emails illegally obtained by hackers from the private account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
Here are the five biggest revelations from the email dumps:
1. Apparent transcripts of Clinton’s paid speeches to Goldman Sachs (We say ‘apparent’ because the Clinton campaign will not authenticate the documents, suggesting some could be fakes planted by the hackers) revealed she was on friendly terms with Wall Street executives.

Paul Verhoeven remains quick to defend "Showgirls." Actually, he has a good point about the Razzie award-winning film: 18 years after it's release not only has "Showgirls" achieved cult status, but a number of prominent critics have reevaluated it as good satire. Still, it's not often you hear "Showgirls" compared to Fellini.
To be fair, Verhoeven is quick to talk about pretty much all his films, which makes sense considering that many of them are still very much a part of the zeitgeist. Two of them, "Total Recall" and "RoboCop," are even the subject of remakes. (And, yes, Verhoeven did see the "Total Recall" remake and was less than impressed, as he discusses below.)
Verhoeven is at the Tribeca Film Festival in support of his new directorial effort, "Tricked," a movie about betrayal and blackmail that's more notable for it's creation than for its actual story. Verhoeven and his team only...

The buddy cop sub-genre is always a hard task to nail as witnessed in Kevin Smith’s groan-inducing Cop Out. The key is getting two likeable leads that can play off each other and who can bring a balance to the predicaments that come their way. The best of the best in this department is Running Scared with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines. Coming in a close second is Dead Heat, a film that not only has action and comedy, but one that adds horror in the form of the undead.
If Dan O’ Bannon directed Beverly Hills Cop it would look something like Mark Goldblatt’s directorial debut. Hardcore horror fans pushed aside the lighter side of cinema in the latter half of the 80′s, and in the wake of such arrogance pictures like Dead Heat were left out in the cold. I take movies for their face value,...

If anyone has known me for many years, they’ll know that I’m an avid Joe Dante lover. And who can deny that love? From Gremlins to Matinee, to The Howling and The ‘Burbs, nobody has done a better job in contemporary Hollywood genre films and also had a critical following as well. Shout Factory! Has just released his first breakthrough hit, a Roger Corman produced horror comedy that many have passed over as a Jaws ripoff. The film is Piranha.
It’s more than just a simple ripoff. Even Corman himself has said that they couldn’t just use another big sea fish, so instead he opted for the smaller and still deadly piranha. Plus the deaths could be more gruesome and in the year 1978 and the slasher boom about to hit, gratuitous gore was the in thing. But Piranha has something more than many of the ‘animals...
