- Former World Wrestling Federation referee Danny Davis was one of the most controversial referees in the history of the WWF. Was stripped of his referee's license in 1987 by then WWF President, Jack Tunney. Became a wrestler, managed by Jimmy Hart. Wrestled in tag team action with the Hart Foundation [Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart] Reinstated as a referee by Tunney in 1989. - Not the same Danny Davis who owns Ohio Valley Wrestling, the training ground for up-and-coming, future WWE superstars. The two Dannys are not related in any way.
- Wrestled at the legendary Wrestlemania III in the Pontiac Silverdome, where he teamed up with The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hit Man" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) to take on the team of The British Bulldogs(Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) & Tito Santana. Davis actually pinned Davey Boy to win the match after he nailed him in the head with manager Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart's megaphone.
