Roland De Corneille(1927-2014)
Roland Eugene Marceau Guy Barto de Corneille was born in Lausanne,
Switzerland to parents Jacques Andre de Corneille, a Bishop's Chaplin
General, and Muriel Hilda Schlager, a Boston native who previously
taught French. Jacques de Corneille saw the potential peril of Adolf
Hitler's twisted philosophy, so he began to write articles in a French
military magazine against (the) Hilter/Nazi Party currently residing in
France. When the war came forth, Jacques was a highly acknowledged
"anti-Nazi" and was eventually taken hostage and killed during a
routine firing squad in Poland.
Long before the massacre, Muriel Schlager and son Roland de Corneille escaped from France to the United States of America where he worked as an office boy at the age of 13 in Washington D.C.
