Craig Hitchcock, director of sales at The Hollywood Reporter, has been named vp and executive director of the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles.
The appointment was made Tuesday by Pat Mitchell, president and CEO of the organization, formerly called The Museum of Television & Radio. He takes up the reins Jan. 12.
"We feel very fortunate to have identified the right executive to step into the leadership role in Los Angeles, a role that has been filled so ably and for more than a decade by Barbara Dixon, who is retiring in early January," Mitchell said.
"Craig brings experience and expertise in both sectors, with strong contacts in the industry and a proven track record with media enthusiasts and consumers. We are anticipating that his innovative ideas, energy and enthusiasm will generate new directions and drive new growth in the Paley Center's reach and impact," she added.
